Chapter 1
It was a cold late fall morning and it had been snowing since the sun had first peaked over the horizon in New York. There was a hooded figure walking down a snow covered alleyway, his head hung low and steps slowed by tiredness.
Eddie, what is this white stuff?
The disheveled man sighed and tried rubbing the last remnants of sleep from his eyes without success. “It's snow, Venom.” He grumbled and after a moment of silence stopped to crouch down and pick up a little bit of the snow.
The symbiote’s head appeared from Eddie’s back and looked over his shoulder, eyeing the powder snow with suspicion.
Why is it so cold?
Eddie turned his head to look at his symbiote, one eyebrow raised. “Have you never seen it before?” He asked and Venom growled lowly before shaking his head, he slowly moved closer to the snow in Eddie’s hand. “It's frozen water.”
That is water?!
Eddie snorted and tried holding back a laugh, he grabbed some more snow and flung it at Venom who jerked away. Still some landed on him and contrasted perfectly on his black form. Venom froze for a moment before shaking himself like a wet dog, some of the now flying snow hit Eddie in the face, who could no longer contain his laughter.
How dare you! Apologize! That was cold
Eddie wiped the melting snow from his face as he stifled his laughter. “Sorry buddy, but there's no way I could have not done that!” He grinned still chuckling a little and letting the alien crawl underneath his hoodie to warm up again before getting up and continuing his walk towards Ms. Chen’s grocery store.
Don’t ever do that again.
“We’ll see about that.” He responded and after a bit of the symbiote’s skulking Eddie patted his hoodie down until he found him and gave the grumpy alien a few loving head pats before entering the small grocery store and hearing the familiar ding.
You're getting me more chocolate Eddie.
“In your dreams.”
