Hangovers And Heart-To-Hearts

You are unwell Eddie

The disheveled man groaned and turned until his face was hidden by a pillow and held his pounding head with a hand. “No shit, my head is killing me!” He grumbled and Venom manifested their head, which rested on Eddie’s shoulder as the symbiote looked at him with concern.

He sighed and turned his head sideways giving his partner a short lived smile before squeezing his eyes shut against the sunlight that was peaking into the room. Venom closed the curtains properly with two tendrils, well at least they tried their best and after just three attempts it had worked, an improvement to the last morning spent with a massive hangover though.

“Thanks Venom, did you get me home last night too? I can't remember anything after leaving the bar.” He mumbled and reached for his symbiote, who happily snuggled under his arm and chin, letting go of a low, dark rumble that kept reminding Eddie of a cat’s purr.

Yes, but you definitely shouldn't be drinking this much again

Please

“Fine, I won't, besides I feel like shit afterwards anyways.” He responded, covering his eyes with one of his arms.

Good, we'll see what we can do against your hangover Eddie.

“Thank you V.” Eddie said and after a silent pause which seemed to drag on almost forever, “I’m glad you're still here.” He added almost a bit sheepishly, articulating his emotions had never been a particularly strong suit of his.

Why shouldn't we still be here? You're ours, our perfect little loser ♡

When Venom’s teasing wasn't met by the usual response of ‘oh shut up’ or the half annoyed and half amused chuckle they grew concerned, lifting Eddie's arm from their eyes. He avoided looking at the symbiote as his eyes seemingly wouldn't stop becoming wetter as he tried to fight with his tears.

Eddie

The alien said softly and manifested more of their black matter to partially engulf his body as a sort of cold hug. While he didn't say anything Eddie put one arm over the black goo and pressed it just a bit harder against his skin.

You can tell us what's bothering you, we will understand.

Venom assured the nearly crying man who closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths in response. “I just realized how lonely I was without you when… You weren't with me… I don't want to be alone like that everagain.” He explained slowly, his voice cracking here and there as he felt tightness building up in his throat. Eddie didn't like feeling like this, honestly he would've much rather pretended to go back to sleep and fight it on his own, but he had someone else in his head now. Someone that cared about him.

We won't leave you again, we promise. You've become our home… We were lonely without you too, very, very lonely.

Eddie finally looked at Venom again and smiled softly, holding the symbiote's head in his hands and gently pressing their foreheads together. “Guess we're both just two losers.” He grinned, still trying to will away the built up tears to no real success, but that hardly mattered at the moment.

Without one another we may be losers, but together we are venom.

“You've been reading poetry for beginners on the internet?” Eddie teased and Venom lovingly bumped his head against Eddie's cheek, a little quirk of the symbiote as they couldn't really give little kisses.

I like learning poetry, then at least one us has a way with words

“Whoa how mean, guess you're not getting any tater tots today!” Eddie laughed as Venom quickly lifted their head in surprise.

What?! Nooo Eddieee!!
