Blake
It is date night and I am getting ready and I packed a small bag with a towel and some waters, then I heard a knock on my door around 5pm. Blake was on the other side of the door and in red swim shorts and a tank top. I gave him a hug and he hug me back awkwardly, and then I grab my bag and we we off. Blake apologizes for being late he said 430 but work kept him a little late, so he said that we should just skip the hike and just go right to the beach. We get to the beach and I did not notice the food that was in the back but I know it smelled good, so Blake and I take the stuff out and have a little picnic at the beach. We started to chat and I told him about my life about how me and Maddie didn’t have the best parents, how I ran away and traveled the world, and how I ended up in LA.
Blake tell me about his life how he was raised in a police house hold everyone is a police officer, his mom is a Captain at another station, dad works in internal affairs, and his brother works in SWAT. He wanted to be a police officer not only because of his family, but he wanted to protect people. He went on to tell me that his friend was shoot and the police did not do anything about it sine Blake’s friend was known to cause trouble. They brushed it under the rug saying that the kid finally got what was coming to him, Blake vowed that he would never let that happen ever to anyone if he could help it. Blake mentioned that he had a dog a German shepherd and of course he showed me pictures of her. I wish I could get a dog but my job hours won’t let me get one but I love dog and really really want one. Blake told me that next time he would bring Bella (the dogs obviously) and I just started to blushed.
“So you want to get in the water or you better on land Mr.policeman” I said teasing as I take my shirt off and run in the water.
“Me scared you should see what I deal with on the daily” Blake chases after me
I then asked him what was his craziest case he has ever dealt with, it involved shadow people. These shadow people attacked tech company employees at night and the surviving victims stated that they only saw a shadow and it disappeared when they got attacked from behind. The company had a recall on some computers that were faulty, it ended up shocking someone and the person had metal screws in his had which amplified the shocked killing the man. The “shadow” figures were just the father of the victim and who used a fog machine and low lighting to look like a shadow to distract the victim while the mother came up and attacked. Then Blake asked me the same thing and I told him about how there was about the crazy snake lady getting choke by her own snake.
“Ok yours sounds crazier lol” I said as we started to walk out of the water
I grabbed my towel out of my bag and started to dry off and then we packed up and got back in the car. On the car ride back Blake told me this really funny story about his brother when he was younger. So the bother decided to go under the trampoline they had to cool down form the sun, not knowing that there was a huge fire ant bed under it. His brother started to scream and cry while his mother ran screaming hysterically taking his clothes off and throwing him in the tub to wash the ants away. Blake said that his brother ended up getting ice cream after words and he was 100% fine and there was no actually harm just a lot of itching. We get to my apartment and he walks me up to the door and for a second I thought he was leaning in for a kiss but it was just a hug, I walked in and closed the door. As soon as the door closed I slightly hit my head against the door in my own stupidity, other than that the date went great and I can’t wait to tell the crew tomorrow.
My eyes closed and I went to bed and then it felt like I just went to sleep when my alarm goes off. I get up and get ready for work, and as I walk in I see Hen just smiling from ear to ear, I knew she wanted to know how the date went. She wasn’t the only one I see the rest of the crew looking at me as I walked upstairs to make some coffee. I made a cup of coffee and started to drink it trying to prolong telling them to torture them just a little. After about five minutes past Hen broke the silence as everyone including Bobby was sitting around.
“So you going to tell us how the date with the hot cop went or what?’ Hen asked and then everyone just slightly leaned in
I tell them everything that happened except the stories that were told, Eddie was hiding a look of disgust but wasn’t doing a good job. I left it alone did not say a word I forgot to mention me an Eddie over the last week have became close friends so I just thought maybe he is being overly protective. I have told Eddie about my sex addiction phase, then Abby, then the Taylor thing, so he had every right to feel the way he did. I even knew about Shannon and the whole army Chris situation, I understand why he did what he did and don’t judge him. Thats actually why we got so close so fast we bond of both of us having a shitty life. I got the the part of the date where he took me home and how I thought was going to kiss me and didn’t they crew laughed.
“If it was me I would not have left you hanging there maybe would’ve asked to come in” Eddie says this in a very sudective way and I just blushed so hard
“And what makes you think I would let you come in.” I said going back the same energy
“I always come in sometimes through the back door.” When Eddie says this and the whole crew just gasped
“Ay yoo y’all need to chill or take that away.” Chim says this and crew just laughed but he was low key serious
This is the first time that Eddie flirted with me I mean I know he is bisexual as well but maybe he doesn’t want to over step since I with Blake, or I went on a date with him and he doesn’t want to fuck that up, or he just not over Shannon and this is just a way for him to deflect. Either way I am not judging I kinda like the attention, I am texting Blake any chance I get and he doesn’t text right away but he does text back. He tell me that he has arrested a drug user that gave him a lead for a drug lord, and that everyone is just running around. The shift was pretty good only one call and it was just a paramedic call so I didn’t have to go. After the shift was over the crew wanted to have a crew dinner at Bobby’s which was great and everyone said they would go, it was to introduce Eddie to all the parterres of the 118, and I was glad it would be the first time that Chris gets to meet everyone. Then Bobby asked if I could invite Blake if he wanted to come over, I texted him and didn’t get an answer he must be busy, I told Bobby that I will let him know. I was on my way to Bobby’s house when I got a text message from Blake he was still busy about the drug lord break, but he said that he would make it up to me.
I get to the Grant-Nash House hold and of course I am the last one there I am always late. I see Chim and Maddie with Hen and Karen talking, Bobby and Athena are in the kitchen with May setting the table, Eddie is with Chris who is playing with Denny. I make a presents known and everyone made fun of me for being late as always, then I went to were Eddie was and sat down with him. He scooted a little closer but not to closer, then I waved to Chris and Denny who waved back. Me and Eddie were just chatting away as we do but he seemed to be a little more flirtatious than normal and has been sine I started dating Blake.
“Eddie why are you all of a sudden flirting with me. Ever since I started to date Blake you been flirting?” I asked and Eddie leans closer
“Is it bothering you I will stop. I just want you to know that I like you without telling but you don’t seem to get the gist.” Eddie says this and pulls away
“I with Blake and I like him I can’t be with you Eddie.” I say this and I hear Bobby calling everyone to come get the food.
We all get the food and all sit in the living room and grab some of the chairs from the living room and outside so everyone can sit. Everyone was telling stories and Maddie told some embarrassing ones about me and everyone laughed. May was not saved from the embarrassing stories when Athena started to do the same thing, then it changed to the crew and how Eddie is new. Eddie told them some stories about his combat days, and we were all just intrigued with them. The night was winding down and Eddie and I were still low key flirting, I don’t know why I am flirting back it just happens and it fells normal. I help clean up and so does Eddie, and then it was just us in the back yard while Chris was in side watching TV. Eddie and I try and hand touch each others as we go for the same piece of trash on the ground. Now I am looking into his brown eyes really beautiful brown eyes that can look into my soul, and it is like we are the only people in the world. All of a sudden Eddie is pulling me with on hand behind my head, and then the other one went to my lower back. I was shocked at first then open my mouth to let his tongue enter. I can tell you how long we were like this but I know when Eddie pulled away I wanted more. i was speechless and he looked at me and I looked at him and then Bobby comes outside to tell Eddie that Chris fell asleep and Eddie left. I just walked past Bobby not even hearing what he said and I drove home. I lied in bed wondering what the hell just happened, then my phone goes off with the caller ID saying Blake. I let it ring I couldn’t talk to him after the kiss, it shouldn’t matter I should want to be with Blake, but the more I think about it maybe I am in love with my best friend. Can I thought I just met him like a week ago but I also met Blake about a week ago. Why does the universe hate me, I lie there in my bed thinking which man I should pursue.
