Clark is reading the paper, which would be a typical sight if it was the Planet or the Gazette or hell, even the Star City Tribune, but it’s not any of those— it’s some gossip rag that churns out new stories every time a celebrity so much as breathes wrong, the kind he always derides as overly sensationalist.

And, well, Bruce is a celebrity… a celebrity that’s been busted cheating on his steady, stable, hardworking everyman of a boyfriend with Superman, of all people, apparently.

So he just kisses the top of Clark’s head with a smile, mumbles something along the lines of “I’d never, the spandex is too bright for my tastes,” and goes to pour himself a cup of coffee.
