“I can’t believe this,” Clark groans, staring down at the cake with the same forlorn expression he usually reserves for watching commercials that feature sad puppies. “I mean, how hard can it be to get her age right?”
Bruce, meanwhile, is already on the phone, using his best I will sue you into oblivion voice—the one that never actually carries any weight, since he usually has better things to do—to inform the person on the other end of the line that yes, really, the cake was for someone over two thousand years old; anything’s possible, aliens exist and a cryptid prowls the streets of Gotham, for god’s sake!
