Joseph’s hand against her back is a solid, comforting weight, and Raven realizes, in a faint corner of her mind, that this is the longest extended touch she’s had in months.
She wants more, but she’s afraid too much will overwhelm her. So they just sit together in an almost comfortable state of silence as her tears subside.
