Summary
Welcome, to my menagerie of platonic yandere AUs! Some feature dark worlds inspired by A Better World, others have our heroes as dragons, while others yet feature sirens... there's even one that features analog horror and/or Self Aware characters... But, be warned! If you uee these aus, I ask that you follow a few simple rules... (nothing too crazy, promise, but please do read the rules before you think of using any of these AUs!)
Note
Hi, it's me, Honeyminded Hivemind! I hope you enjoy these AUs, and I hope they brighten your day! Be warned though, some can get dark! Enjoy!

Dark AU

This AU is a bit dark and a bit grim, and is very, very heavy on the creepy fluff! It features a Reader who somehow got the X-Men and Brotherhood (plus Acolytes) to get along amd form one big group. But alas! Reader doesn't quite feel like part of the family, yet they keep that hidden, acting as just a friend instead... They and their friends Kitty, Kurt, and Pietro end up taken by evil scientists and mutant haters, who torture them and experiment on them... They four end up dead (or do they...?) and wind up somehow in... the future!

Except this future is weird as heck. They're able to escape the abandoned military base and labs, and head out to find the nearest town and payphone... The four are shaken, with Pietro upset Reader took the brunt of the damage so the others would be okay, and Kurt and Kitty are worried for Reader's mental health (and they're all traumatized, big time). They call the old number of the X-Men, get some snacks, and go to one of Magneto's old bases, hoping to meet up with their team. But Reader isn't so sure everything is alright. So far... people have been polite to them or ignored them, except it's obvious they're mutants... not to mention the newspapers they saw, with a date that wasn't the last one they remember, and how humans seem to no longer harbor hate for mutants...

They end up at the warehouse, and when their team shows up, it's obvious something isn't right... They're darker, more desperate, scary somehow... And then their team tries to capture them. And they succeed.

When the four wake up, they're in the Insitute, but their friends, their family, are all older, more cold, yet seem obsessed with them, wanting to keep them alive, get them back to full health, and not let them know what really happened years ago...

Reader will end up escaping eventually, but not without losing their friends, who end up siding with the others in the end... So now Reader is racing to find the one artifact that can hopefully fix this mess, before they're caught and it's too late...
