Kurt 🌃: to be fair he doesn't leave it very often

Wanda 🔮: don't worry, I'll introduce you to everyone later

Peter 😎: *knocks on the door* Hank, Hank, Hank
Hank 🔬: *opens the door* Yes?
Wanda 🔮: can we talk to you
Hank 🔬: sure *steps back and let's the kids into his lab*
Peter 😎: *bounces on his tiptoes into the lab*
Kurt 🌃: I think this is the first time I've been in here
Wanda 🔮: same
Peter 😎: you know what Hank's like
Kurt 🌃: true
John 🔥: wow this is huge
Hank 🔬: haha thanks, you're the new kid right?
John 🔥: yeah, I'm John
Hank 🔬: nice to meet you, I'm Hank McCoy, a science teacher

Peter 😎: *flaps his hands excitedly* I want to hear you talk about them
Kurt 🌃: to be fair, we were only 6 when the school started
Hank 🔬: fair point, let's go to the living room as I don't have any seats here
Wanda 🔮: more evidence that Hank doesn't let anyone in here
John 🔥: haha
Kurt 🌃: *teleports everyone to the living room*

Peter 😎: *nods enthusiastically*
Kurt 🌃: *curls up next to Peter*
Peter 😎: *fiddles with Kurt's hair*
John 🔥: *gestures for Wanda to sit down* ladies first
Wanda 🔮: *blushes slightly then sits down on the sofa*
John 🔥: *sits down next to her* so, what can you tell us about the professor and deputy?
Hank 🔬: well they have always been very close, from the moment I met them, I thought they had known each other for years
Kurt 🌃: how did they act?
Hank 🔬: well they just seemed to hit it off straight away. There was something about Charles that made Erik a much more likable person
Wanda 🔮: sounds about right
Peter 😎: *laughs and continues to fiddle with Kurt's hair* true, when you talk to him without dad he can be closed off and a little off putting but as soon as dad is in the room, he loosens up and you can laugh and joke around
Wanda 🔮: he's not that bad when I talk to him
Peter 😎: oh no he's fine with his own kids, his adopted kids on the other hand...
Kurt 🌃: fair, we can be a lot
Hank 🔬: true
John 🔥: adopted kids?
Hank 🔬: everyone in this school is basically a big messy family full of sleeping with each other
Wanda 🔮: it's chaos
Peter 😎: true
Wanda 🔮: but I wouldn't trade it for the world
Peter 😎: I'd trade it for a bit of peace and quiet when things get...difficult
John 🔥: fair
Kurt 🌃: *kisses Peter on the cheek*
Wanda 🔮: did you ever see them do stuff together?
Hank 🔬: we saw them play chess...a lot
Peter 😎: *shudders*
Hank 🔬: they'd also go for walks around the grounds a lot when Charles wasn't teaching us
Wanda 🔮: what did papa do then?
Hank 🔬: Charles taught him too however his was more just a little bit of practice. He mainly helped out with fitness
John 🔥: what are they like as teachers?
Hank 🔬: Charles is very easygoing, it takes a lot to make him about whereas Erik is more likely to lose his temper
Kurt 🌃: true
Hank 🔬: but they aren't just the headmaster and deputy head to all of us, they're our parents. They don't care if you do something wrong, they may punish you if you're bad but they will always help you correct your mistakes. They always make sure you've eaten enough, slept enough, and participated in your classes. They help you with your homework and whatever problems you may have and most importantly of all, they accept you no matter who you are.
John 🔥: wow
Peter 😎: *flaps one hand happily* they definitely are the best parents ever
John 🔥: If we come to this school do we have to go home?
Hank 🔬: not if you don't want to. It's technically a boarding school so you are allowed to stay over the 'summer holidays'
John 🔥: do many people stay
Kurt 🌃: yep, loads of people do
Wanda 🔮: well given that my parents run this place I'll be staying
John 🔥: that's good, as I'm definitely not wanted back home
Peter 😎: I'm really sorry man
John 🔥: it's alright, I have another question
Hank 🔬: ask away
John 🔥: Are the Professor and deputy very...affectionate
Wanda 🔮: that's an understatement
Kurt 🌃: haha
Peter 😎: they are
Hank 🔬: they are the sappiest idiots ever
John 🔥: is it proper love?
Peter 😎: *smiles fondly* they are the most in love couple ever
