Liaria was all dressed up, per her older brother's request. Everything was planned to perfection. She had incredibly hazy memories of Billiam being incredibly angry when things go how he wanted so she made sure to be very careful. He only wanted the best after all, unlike her parents. Billiam had always told her how much they didn't care about their children at all and she of course believed them. She had very few memories of her Mother but many of her Father and most of them weren't good.
Her blonde hair was being pathetically touched by some stupid maid, she straightened her dress which was light blue and had silver details, she pulled on her gloves and gently adjusted her shoes, beauty is pain right? Well the heels clearly got the memo. All of this was just an obligation to be seen as..something. To disgrace such a powerful bloodline would be just enough for her to live in shame and alone. Those were about the worst things that could've happened.
She found that the lower you were in society, the less people care. the fact that she couldn't be genuine and true with her emotions and actions since they were only ever just for display, then again she felt that her feelings had become more plain recently Another maid walked in and was trembling. so odd and strange. Why work for anyone in fact if you're going to be such a nervous imbecile? "Miss Liaria.." The maid said, barely making a noise Liaria turned her head to the maid quickly and stared at her "What? Hurry up and say it then i have things to do" Liaria snapped "I- I-...Your- Your brother requests your presence Miss" The maid managed to mumble out the sentence Liaria stared at the woman in disbelief. Since when did Billiam talk to servants? He always told his "dear friend Philza" to pass on messages to everyone apart from herself, so why was this different? A million thoughts went through her head, did she do something wrong? Everyone was watching now if she had done something wrong... he would be so angry! "is that all? GET OUT" Liaria screamed. She would have thrown something if they didn't move faster but the two women ran out afraid after the young girl's frightening outburst. She looked in the mirror and calmed down immediately, Billiam would never be angry with her but to other people it was another situation. She was still afraid that if she breathed wrong that he would have melt down. Things suddenly felt incredibly real. She of course knew that one day she would simply be a house wife, a trophy if you will that was only to be seen on special occasions, but now she was 18 things were getting closer. it only dawned on her now that just planning pointless parties, pretending to care about her children, having affairs and drinking would be her life from the moment she was married. She didn't want to be a bitter married lady who wasted her time and money so pointlessly, but then again she also didn't want to set her self up for disappointment and marry for love. She wouldn't even find a match that way, and that was what this was all about, finding a match and not upsetting or angering her brother. Liaria walked to his room which was a good couple floors away from her own. Billiam wanted his privacy after all, the only person who saw him a lot was Philza. She knocked on the door just loud enough so he could hear "Who is it?" he yelled impatiently She still flinched at that voice he used when he was angry, she had no idea why either. He'd never hurt her. "Its Liaria Brother" She said gently and then saw him open the door "Oh" his voice changed completely, there were heavy footsteps and then the door was unlocked and opened "You wished to see me?" she asked "Yes i did. Come in" he nodded and then stepped aside from the entrance. she walked in hesitantly and watched him nervously as he closed the door. Billiam always loomed over Liaria in a rather intimidating manner due to him being incredibly tall. He had always looked like his father although he would never admit it, oddly enough both of them look so much like their parents. They were often mistaken for them most of the time which annoyed Billiam heavily. "You understand that this is important?" He asked her solemnly "Yes indeed i do. i will behave impeccably i promise" She said softly He nodded once more and sighed "Although people have a tainted opinion of me you must make sure they dont have one of you. You don't though? Have a horrible opinion of me i mean? i understand i can be quite rude at times.." he stared at her waiting for an answer She felt stuck. It was always like walking on eggshells around him, and all she wanted to do was help. She hated it when he was in a bad mood after all he practically raised her after their parents had passed and she couldnt help but feel so guilty for him being so stressed. "Oh no! Not at all! You shouldnt worry about other people, theyre awfully harsh. Youre a great brother and youve always been truthful about our parents when no one else has" She assured him with a smile he nodded and smiled back, defintely an awkward smile but he smiled all the same "Youre free to leave Liaria" He said in his normal monotone voice she nodded and walked off to the ballroom since everyone would have arrived by now time to smile.
