Summary
Izuku has a quirk, it lets him hear the ghosts of the dead family members on his mother's side in his head.It also allows him to use their quirks and sometimes he gets possessed by them, yay! Doesn't help that two of his dead family members are very unhinged.

Chapter 1

Hey guys, I have been having a pretty hard time writing, but comments - especially long comments - are really motivating. Please help me find the energy to write by commenting if you like my work!

Izuku was four when he heard the voices for the first time, it was his birthday and Kacchan was showing off his quirk to everyone like he has since he got his quirk.

“I don’t like that brat, he is so full of himself!”A female voice said.

Someone sighs. “He is four years old, mom” Another female voice says now.

“Doesn’t matter, I know a rotten person when I see one! He got like this after he got his quirk!”

“I have to agree with her, I’ve seen too many people like him before, they always turn into a fucking assholic bitch” A male voice agrees.

“See? I’m not being irrational, I just have good intuition!”

“I think you both need to chill down, the kid can change for the better, I’m sure”

“Better my ass, he already looks at our boy like he is some sort of bug in his way!”

“Right? Little shit thinks he is better than our baby boy!”

Izuku listened in confusion, eventually he sneaked into his room and the voices continued, so there was no one in the room, these voices were in his head.

“Uh, h-hi? Can you three hear me?” He asks quietly.

The voices stop bickering for a long minute then…

“Oh shit, he can hear us!”

“Watch your funcking language!”

“Whatever old man!”

“Calm down both of you! Hello sweetie,” she says with a soft tone. “It’s good to finally be able to talk to you”

“It’s nice to meet you!” Izuku beams.

The three voices coo at him.

“But who are you? Are you my quirk?” He asks excitedly.

“We’re not, but I think your quirk has something to do with us being here, kiddo”

“It would explain why we have been brought back when he was born…damn we are dumb as fuc-”

The woman is cut off by a loud smack.

Izuku tilts his head in confusion. “Are you ghosts?”

“I guess? Probably, you can’t see us, can you?”

He shook his head. “No”

“Uh, maybe you will be able to see us if your quirk gets stronger”

“It definitely has something to do with my side of the family if you two are here with me”

“Nobody in our family had a quirk like that, but I understand what you mean”

“Are all of you related?” Izuku asks, trying to understand what was going on.

“Ah yes we are, I’m Shimura Mio, your great grandmother!”

“Shimura Ayumu, your great great grandfather!”

“Shimura Nana, your grandmother”

“Wow, you're my mom’s mother? She said you were a hero!” Said Izuku in awe, mom used to tell him stories about his grandmother, she was so cool!

“I know, I wish I could have watched her grow to be the woman she is now” Nana responds hesitantly with a saddened tone.

“You did it to protect her” Mio says, scolding her daughter gently.

The greenette doesn’t know what they mean, he wants to ask but felt like it was a sensitive matter, so he decided to keep quiet about it.

“Can I tell mom about you?”

“She may not believe you, even though all kinds of quirks exist, people still are dumb enough to think ghosts don’t exist”

“Did your mom ever tell you my name?”

He shakes his head. “No, she just says you were a hero”

“Then tell her Nana regrets leaving her, that I wish I could have raised her”

“Okay!” He gets up and goes back to the living room where people were still focused on Bakugou and makes his way to Inko.

“Mom! I got my quirk!” he exclaims rather loudly.

Everyone gasps, their attention to the green-haired child now, Bakugou looks angry that he lost all their attention throwing a glare at his friend.

Inko looks happy as she picks her son up and smiles. “Really Izu? Show me!”

“Grandma Nana said she regrets leaving you, that she wished she could have raised you” Izuku says remembering the words. “That’s what she told to tell you for you to believe me”

The woman looks taken aback, eyes widening at his words.. “Wh-you-my mom?”

Mitsuki at her side looks at the kid in confusion. “What does that even mean?”

Before Izuku can explain he starts to float, Inko’s startles letting go of her son as he looks around confusedly.

Everyone’s confusion is replaced with cheers as they see the birthday boy’s quirk in action, Inko with the help of Masaru managed to take her son out the ceiling, having to hold him close to her so he won’t float away again.

Mitsuki drives them to the quirk doctor, they end the party earlier for this, Katsuki keeps glaring at Izuku who doesn’t understand why his friend is not happy with him getting his quirk.

When they arrive at the quirk counselor, they are in the waiting room, the Bakugous  waiting outside since they didn’t have an appointment.

“I never told you her name” Inko whispers.

Izuku turns to his mom with a huge smile. “She said to ask you if you remember when you and uncle Kotaro used to play in the rain and she scolded you both because you two would get a cold every time….I have an uncle?”

The woman gapes at her son stunned. “You…is she here? Did she become a ghost? Is that your quirk? You can see ghosts?” She feels crazy saying these words out loud, but her son knew her mom’s name, her brother’s name!

“Nana said that she thinks being able to hear them is my quirk, but I floated!” He pauses. “Mio said it could be because they are part of me now?” Another Pause. “Ayumu said I probably could get his and Mio’s quirks too”

Inko is speechless, she knows those names, they were the names of her grandmother and great grandfather, she never met them but her mother used to talk a lot about them.

“M-Mom? Is it really you?” She asks, looking at her son.

Izuku looks to be listening to something then he nods. “She said she shouldn’t have left you and uncle Kotaro, she regrets leaving you two, she says she is proud of you”

Inko bursts into tears and Izuku has to calm her down, the quirk counselor looks confused at the scene but calls them to get in anyway.

Izuku explains what he can hear and for a moment the doctor was about to diagnose him with schizophrenia but Inko confirmed he knew things only her mother would know, the man was hesitant but accepted his words as the truth even thought he didn’t really believe it.

Hereditary, it is what they call his quirk, since he could use the quirks on his dead family members.

Izuku has been taking notes and practicing his new quirks since that day.

Nana’s quirk is Float, it allows the user to well…float! Like he did before! The woman tells him how to control it, at first he ends up at the ceiling of the house again but he quickly gets the hang of it as he is back on the floor still floating a couple of inches away from it.

Mio’s quirk is very hard to control, her quirk was Vector Telekinesis, the power to manipulate telekinetic force as thin lines or threadlike appendages. Basically he could create invisible hands with thin lines of telekinetic force and use them to move physical forms.

He doesn’t want to end up destroying his house; so he will have to practice this quirk in a more open area.

Telekinetic Enhanced Strike, Ayumu’s quirk, allowed the user to use telekinesis to increase the offensive power of their strike allowing them to hammer their enemies with mighty blows.

He couldn’t really practice that quirk unless he wanted to break someone’s bones, unless he just punched things to practice with it, but he didn't want to cause any property damage.

Izuku was very happy with his quirks, not only were they useful and would help him become a hero, but he also got to meet more people in his family! It was always only him and his mom since dad left to work in the united states, but now he had his grandmother and the others!

Who didn’t like that he got a quirk was his friend Kacchan.

“So what, you can float? That’s dumb, my quirk is much better!” The kid exclaimed, showing off his explosions.

“I already told you my quirk is not that” The greenete said feeling tired, this the fifth time they are talking about this again.

Half of the kids sided with the blond thinking his quirk was stronger, the other half sided with Izuku thinking his quirk was amazing and understanding what his real quirk was.

“Told ya he wouldn’t change”

“It’s been two days” Nana said bluntly.

“Still!”

“You have such a useless quirk!” The blond smirks. “You are a Deku! Worthless!”

“Little shit! Let me at him!”

“I’m gonna break his neck!”

“Oh my God you two calm down, I’m sure if his parents know about it he will learn his lesson”

Unfortunately Kac-Bakugou doesn’t change, he actually manages to get worse.

Even though Mitsuki and Masaru scolded their son, the boy still called Izuku names, but then he started to use his quirk on him as well.

At first he thought it was an accident, after all as much as the blond had earned his quirk first he still needed to get a better control of it, he let out an explosion on Izuku’s shoulder when trying to get his attention.

The teachers who saw it shrugged it off as an accident sending Izuku to the nurse of the school to take a look on his shoulder and send him home.

But then he started to hurt other kids with his quirk on purpose.

“Kacchan! Why are you hurting her!?” The greenette exclaimed angrily at his best friend.

He just used his explosion on a girl who was playing alone with her doll, just like that! Out of nowhere!

“She has a useless quirk!” One of Bakugou’s lackeys said. “Just like you Deku!”

“Get out of the way Deku! I’m teaching her a lesson!” Katsuki snarled.

It just made him so angry, his best friend hurting others for being ‘weak’ and he has the gall to want to be a hero like All Might?!

“No! That’s not what heroes do Kacchan!” Izuku didn’t move, still standing between the crying girl and the blond.

“Fine!” Katsuki smirked. “Means I can beat you up too!” He lashes at the greenette, explosions ready to go.

Before the boy can reach him, Izuku is floating, looking down at him from above with an unimpressed look.

The blond snarls angrily as he tries to send explosions at where the other is. “Come down here you coward!”

Izuku looks at him as if he were dumb. “Why should I?”

“I’m gonna kick your ass!”

“You can try!”

That’s how things goes through the years, Mio always warns him when Kac-Bakugou is coming near and he floats before the other can get near him, the boy also would also hug the kids Bakugou was harassing and float while holding them until a teacher came to stop the blond.

The teachers start to ignore the blond’s behavior as they get older, being it when Katsuki calls him and others names or when he is using his quirk on them.

But it was okay, Izuku could deal with that, he has been training his quirks but didn’t want to use the other two on non-villains since it could be dangerous and he still was trying to get a handle of how to use it without destroying stuff, he could barely use his telekinetic force to hold a glass of water without breaking it.

Mio said her quirk would take a bit more practice to control it.

Ayumu’s quirk was getting easier to get a better control of, he has been going to the ‘trash beach’ to train his quirks, he managed to punch a fridge without pulverizing it, so that’s progress.

Now, back to the bullying, Izuku doesn’t tell mom about it as much as his grandparents disapproved of this choice, he didn't really see a reason to tell her, the teacher were clearly biased towards the blond and would do nothing to stop him and Bakugou’s parents never seem to actually do much about their son’s behavior, besides is not like Izuku was getting hurt.

He was protecting the other kids too. So nobody was actually getting hurt by the blond, well physically that is, the name calling was annoying for the most part but he could tell some of the others felt offended by the ‘nicknames’ Bakugou gave them.

Bakugou grew more aggressive and his lackeys' numbers went down as they also started to feel uncomfortable around him, the blond was getting even more annoyed as others were starting to ignore him so he had to get more creative to get to them.

Which ended pretty badly.

They were fourteen when Bakugou crossed a line.

Mio and Ayumu already hated the kid’s guts, wanting him to face the consequences, but not really able to do anything about it.

Nana lost faith in the boy, finally! She tried to convince Izuku to tell Inko about it but he refused as he explained the blond didn’t manage to get him hurt yet.

But then the blond had to fuck it up

Izuku wanted to be a hero and Bakugou didn’t like that, he was the only one of their school who was going to be accepted in U.A! He was the strongest!

So when the teacher pointed out that the nerd was also going to apply for U.A his blood boiled.

He didn’t even wait for class to finish, just got up from his seat and glared at the green-haired teen.

“You can’t go to U.A! You fucker! I’m the only one going to be a hero from this shitty school!”

Izuku looked at him tiredly. “Well, you can’t really stop me from applying Bakugou”

“What are you even going to do with that useless quirk of yours?”

“Many things, if you bothered to know what my quirk does you would know it’s great for rescue” Izuku tells him patiently as if talking to a child.

“Bullshit! Your quirk is useless! You can’t get into U.A like that!” The blond grins. “I know how you can get a better quirk, why don’t jump off a rooftop and pray you get a stronger quirk in your next life?”

Wow, this was…he didn’t expect Bakugou to go that far, even the teacher seemed troubled by what he just said.

The blond thought he won whatever argument they were having and put a hand on Izuku’s shoulder who was too in shock to notice the teen had moved from his seat, Bakugou let out an explosion that burnt Izuku’s shoulder pretty badly.

The students gasp in horror at seeing the blood coming from the now injured greenette who has yet to move or utter a word.

Mio and Ayumu had enough of this.

Before the blond could even blink he was sent to the other side of the classroom by a punch to the guts by the other boy.

The other kids watched in shock, the green-haired kid just punched Bakugou, they didn’t know he was this strong!

Bakugou got up hugging his middle as he glared at the other. “What the fuck!? You lied about your quirk! Fucking Deku, were you looking down on me?”

“Shut the fuck up asshole!”

The blond blinks in confusion, that’s not Deku’s voice, now that he takes a better look, the boy’s eyes are red right now.

“Listen here, you little bitch” The greenette approaches him and lifts him by the collar, Izuku’s murderous glare making the other go still. “You try touching my kid one more fucking time and I’ll break those hands of yours and then you will be just as ‘useless’, got it?”

The blond shiver at the look he was receiving from the other, it was full of pure hatred an malice.

“Are you fucking deaf now? Gotta bash your head against the wall until your head pops off of your body for you to hear me, boy?” Deku’s voice changed again to a more feminine voice.

Bakugou shook his head quickly in fear.

Izuku or whatever was the thing pretending to be Midoriya glares at the teachers. “And you! You haven’t done shit until now! Kids are being bullied in front of you and you don’t give a fuck! Guess what you fucking whore, Imma get you ass in prison for quirk descrimination if you keep this up, bitch!”

The boy starts listing the laws that condemn quirk discrimination in very accurate detail that has the teacher sweating in panic.

“I-I’m so sorry! This won’t happen again!” The teacher gives Bakugou a glare. “Detention for you Bakugou, this will be your last warning”

“Only this? I want several black marks on his goddamn record. You better be a very accurate sweetheart, or Imma wreak havoc in this stupid school! You will be rotting in jail very soon if you don’t give him more than a slap on the wrist!!” The voice changed again.

Everyone was utterly confused but also very much here for whatever was going on. They have been waiting for the moment that Bakugou would get his ass handed to him for so long.

And if that means their ultimate green bean had to be possessed by whatever vengeful ghosts there are out there, so be it!

In the end, they end up calling Midoriya Inko, who by the way is very angry when she sees the burn on her baby’s shoulder.

Izuku looked utterly mortified that his grandparents possessed him somehow and caused so much chaos, though he can’t bring himself to be mad at them, Bakugou was out of line this time.

Inko threatens to sue the school if they don’t give Bakugou a permanent black mark on his record that would hinder his attempt to get into a hero school.

They end up doing as the green-haired woman asks, not only giving the blond a permanent mark, but also listing everything he has done over the years and expelling him from their school.
