Chapter 1

The restaurant had been filled with the usual hum of conversation, clinking glasses, and awkward Valentine's Day tension. Everyone at the table—Flash, Liz, Gwen, Harry, MJ, Mark, Sally, Rand, Glory, and Kenny—were engaged in their own conversations, mostly ignoring Peter as usual.
Then, with a sudden flash of golden light, everything changed.
A portal ripped open right in front of their table, spitting out a figure in a tattered red-and-blue suit, blood staining the fabric. The newcomer stumbled slightly, breathing heavily, before straightening and locking eyes with Peter.
"Oh, thank God," MCU Peter huffed, wiping some blood from his face. "Dude, I don’t have time to explain, but I really need your help."
The entire table went dead silent.
Spectacular Peter's stomach dropped. "Dude—"
"Listen, my world is literally on fire right now. I have supervillains running around wrecking everything, and I am so outnumbered. I know it's Valentine’s Day, and I know this looks bad, but I am two seconds away from throwing myself into traffic if I don’t get some backup, so please just grab your suit and come with me before I have an existential crisis on your restaurant floor." MCU Peter exhaled sharply. "Also, sorry in advance for what I'm about to do to your personal life."
Another beat of silence. Then, slowly, heads turned toward Peter.
"P-Parker?" Flash was the first to break the silence, his voice cracking slightly. "You—you know Spider-Man?"
Sally’s jaw hung open. "What do you mean ‘come back with me’?"
"Wait," Kenny said, leaning forward, eyes narrowing. "Why would he ask you for help?"
It hit Spectacular Peter at the same time it hit the others. He could see it in their eyes—the moment the pieces clicked into place. The realization spread through the group like wildfire, leaving nothing but sheer, unfiltered disbelief in its wake.
Mark looked between Peter and the other Spider-Man, brow furrowed. "No way. No freaking way."
Liz let out a choked gasp, her hands covering her mouth. "Petey?"
Gwen looked utterly stunned, her brain seemingly short-circuiting. Harry’s face was frozen in shock. Rand blinked rapidly, as if hoping he was hallucinating. Glory just stared, her lips slightly parted in disbelief.
"Parker?" Flash said again, but this time it wasn’t mocking—it was sheer, raw confusion. "You're Spider-Man?"
Spectacular Peter felt like his soul was trying to escape his body. He turned, hoping for some miraculous way out of this, but MCU Peter was still just standing there—suited up, bloody, watching the chaos unfold like an exhausted spectator.
"Oh," MCU Peter muttered, realization finally dawning. "Right. Secret identity. My bad."
Sally actually shrieked. "Your bad?!"
The table exploded into chaos.
"There's no way—" Mark started.
"Peter, what the hell?!" Rand yelled.
"All this time?!" Liz gasped, looking at Peter like she'd never seen him before.
"Oh my God, I flirted with Spider-Man!" Sally screeched before immediately looking disgusted. "Ew! Ew ew ew!"
Flash had gone rigid, his face cycling through about five different emotions before he just settled on stunned silence. Kenny, meanwhile, had his head in his hands, muttering, "I bullied Spider-Man. I bullied Spider-Man… I'm so dead."
Gwen was still speechless, staring at Peter like she was trying to solve an impossible equation. Harry looked utterly betrayed, his hands clenched into fists.
Mark, recovering from the initial shock, laughed hysterically. "Wait—wait. You mean to tell me that nerdy, awkward Peter Parker is the guy who suplexed Rhino into the pavement? Are we sure we're not all collectively hallucinating right now?"
Rand turned to Gwen. "Did you know about this?!"
Gwen still looked like she had blue-screened. "I—" she croaked. "I—"
Liz suddenly turned to Flash. "You called Spider-Man 'Puny Parker' for years."
Flash looked like he was about to be sick. "Oh my god. He could’ve killed me at any time."
"And you," Rand turned to Sally, "have been thirsting over Spider-Man since sophomore year—"
"DON’T BRING THAT UP!" Sally shrieked, absolutely mortified.
Meanwhile, Kenny, still spiraling, was muttering, "How am I still alive? How am I still alive?"
Spectacular Peter groaned and buried his face in his hands. "This is the worst day of my life."
MCU Peter let out an exasperated sigh. "Okay, love the drama, but I seriously need you to get over it, put on the mask, and come with me before my city is reduced to rubble. Deal with your friend group trauma later."
"Oh, he’s not going anywhere!" Harry snapped, standing abruptly. "Parker, sit your ass down and explain before you go hopping into a portal like this is some normal Tuesday!"
Spectacular Peter didn’t even hesitate. "Nope. I am absolutely not doing that. Leaving now."
Without another word, MCU Peter tapped his watch, opening a portal. The two stepped through, leaving behind a table of people still screaming, freaking out, and, in Kenny’s case, looking like he was about to pass out.
The second the portal closed behind them, Spectacular Peter let out a deep sigh. "I hate you so much right now."
MCU Peter gave him a weak grin. "Yeah, yeah, you can hate me later, But right now we have to deal with all this." He gestures to all the chaos around them
