Chapter 1
I was nervous. More nervous than I should have been. They were just a bunch of kids why was I so nervous.
The school for wizards and witches in training was where some parents send their students before Hogwarts, it's where Albus goes. I got a call from the school, saying they needed a teacher for History Of Magic. Teddy told me I should go for it.
Ever since the war, I haven't done anything. I tried being an auror but that makes the nightmares come back and it's far too dangerous now that I have children.
Ginny and I decided it was best to split up. She hasn't really been in her right mind ever since Fred died so she moved and is now living as a muggle, somewhere in America I think. The split up was hard on me at first especially with me watching all of the children but I slowly began to adapt. I sort of like the children all to myself
I opened the door to my new classroom since I was there so early, it was empty. It was the first day. Teddy was going to walk and drop off Albus off since he didn't have to be back at Hogwarts until later. I bought a house a little outside of Hogsmeade so that it's isolated and unique so it's not that far to walk, although I just floo most of the time.
I smiled at the way the classroom looked. It was the opposite from Hogwarts classrooms, this was full of sunlight and bright colors. I wish I came here. I was only teaching the toddlers years and I was thankful for this, I guess every grade takes History of Magic once. Today it was just class for 30 minutes for an orientation to get to know each other, then the rest of the days I have them for three hours.
3rd person POV
"No mom!"
Harry jumped as he heard the voice of a small boy. He looked over at the door and saw Hermione standing there with a tired expression on her face.
"You're early!"
"Early? Harry it's eight, school starts at eight thirty!"
Harry's eyes almost popped out of his sockets. He lost track of time.
"Sorry for my grumpiness, Hugo would not go to sleep."
Harry looked in Hermiones arms and the young boy was there with tears staining his face.
"He doesn't want his sister to leave."
Harry nodded in understanding and looked down at Rose, she was already smiling up at Harry.
"You can go pick any seat you'd like Rose!"
He said enthusiastically, which just caused Hugo to cry harder while Rose ran into the classroom. "I better go and take him home, with both need more sleep." Harry nodded and kissed Hermione on the top of her head. She lazily walked away with the toddler screaming in her ear.
Harry stayed in the hallway to greet all of the parents and children that entered the classroom. He looked in and chuckled as he saw Rose took the front row seat. She was like her mother, always wanting to learn.

After countless greetings, Harry was ready to go inside of the classroom. He started making his way in but just then,
"Excuse me?"
Harry turned around and looked down. He gasped. Icy blonde hair, ice gray eyes. This kid looked just like.... No, Harry thought, it couldn't be.
"Hello." Harry said warmly.
"Sorry I'm late my grandma gets confused with directions." The little boy bowed his head in shame.
Harry frowned, seeing the boys embarrassed face.
"Can I let you in on a secret? You can't tell anybody though."
The boys head snapped up and his wonder showed in his eyes.
"I won't tell!" The boy exclaimed.
"I was late today too!"
The boy giggled at Harry's statement and Harry instantly felt warm.
"Okay, ready to go inside?"
The boy nodded and Harry led the way. He held the door for the young boy and shut it once he was inside.
The boy took a seat all the way in the back.
Harry took a deep breath and walked to stand in front of the podium. There were ten little curious eyes on him and he was panicking.
"Okay. Hello everybody, my name is Harry Potter."
Harry chuckled at the kids gasps and surprised faces, usually he would get annoyed by adults acting like that when they found out who he was but he loved telling children he was Harry Potter, his eyes get so big.
"Yes, you heard that right, I am Harry Potter. Now what I'm wondering, is who all of you are! I know some of you might be shy but what I want to happen is for you to stand up on your turn and say your full name, your favorite color, and one thing you love."
Some of the kids nodded and some looked deep in thought.
"Rosie, why don't you go first then we can go down the line."
Rose stood up with excitement and straightened her skirt out.
"My name is Rose Granger- Weasly, my favorite color is yellow. A thing that I love is learning, I can't wait until I get to Hogwarts." She took a seat
"Thank you rose. Next."
Harry smiled as his son clumsily stood up out of his seat.
"Hullo! My name is Albus Severus Potter, I am named after three amazing wizards! My cousin is Rose and my father is Harry Potter! My favorite color is red and my favorite thing is making new friends!"
Harry couldn't hide his smile widening when all of the kids applauded for Albus. He was so proud, he used to be very shy but he opened up his first year at this school.
A familiar girl with darker skin stood up, she was absolutely adorable. She had two pigtails in and a white dress on.
"Hello, I'm Cerelia Zabini." She cleared her throat and cautiously looked around like she had been expecting a dirty look or whisper, when she knew that wasn't happening she continued, "My favorite color is pink, and my favorite thing is doing makeup."
"Very nice Cerelia! Maybe one day you can do my makeup!" Harry exclaimed and the little girl sat down, trying to hide her excitement.
"I would like that very much Mr Potter."
The rest of the six kids went, Harry knew some of their parents but he wasn't close to them, finally and lastly it was the blonde boys turn.
He stood up nervously and looked around at all of the students, getting more nervous every second.
"H-hello."
He stopped and tried to control his breathing. It looked like he was whispering something to himself.
"Take your time sweetheart." Harry said with the softest voice he could manage.
After more whispering to himself, the boy finally put is head up and spoke.
"My name is Scorpius M-Malfoy I am new to this school, my grandmother convinced my father to enroll me! My favorite color is green, and my favorite thing is my cat."
Scorpius quickly sat down, avoiding eye contract with anybody.
"Okay, it is very nice to meet all of you! Today we aren't going to be learning anything but we will tomorrow! Today I'll just tell you about what this year will be like then you can chat with your friends. Does that sound good?"
Once the whole class agreed, Harry continued.
"Each day, I'm going to teach you all about a different wizard who was extremely powerful and important to history. All of you will tell me your thoughts on the wizard then at the end of each semester, you'll come in dressed as your favorite and read a biography, pretending to be them."
The whole class exclaimed in excitement, turning to their friends and already talking about who they would be.
"I see you all can't wait to speak to your friends so I'll end the class here!"
Harry walked over to his desk and sat down, he watched the scene unfold him. All of the students ran to Albus and clung to him. He was obviously the most popular in the room because his dad was Harry Potter. The only ones who hadn't run to him were Rose and Cerelia, who were talking to each other. The other person who hadn't ran was Scorpius. He was still sitting alone, pouting in the back.
Then something unexpected to Harry happened. Albus got up and made his way through the crowd of kids and walked back to Scorpius.
"Hello, I'm Albus."
He held his hand out for the other boy to shake. Scorpius stood up and took his hand.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Scorpius."
Scorpius sat back down and Albus took the seat next to them and they started talking about Scorpius's cat.
Harry's eyes were open wide and his mouth was dry. He wondered what would've happened if he took Draco's hand that day.
He was disrupted by Rose.
"Excuse me sir, our parents are coming soon."
He couldn't believe Hermione's four year old daughter had to tell him how to do his job.
"Right, thank you Rose."
He got up from his desk.
"Okay everybody! Grab your backpacks and make sure you have everything! A family member will be coming soon to pick you up."
They all shuffled back to their seats and Rose was right, parents did start to come, even Hermione came with a happier Hugo. The only kids left was Cerelia, Scorpius and Albus. They were all in a conversation.
"Cerelia." Harry heard a deep voice and he looked over and saw Blaise. The young girl got up with the biggest smile on her face and ran over to him. When she reached him she wrapped her arms around his leg. He smiled down at her. Blaise finally looked around the room and saw Harry and his expression turned to a shocked one.
"Daddy! Mr Potter said he would love if I did his makeup one day!"
Harry's face went red.
"Oh did he now?" Blaise asked his daughter, feeling intrigued. "Maybe one day we have to invite Mr Potter over to see him in some makeup."
Blaise took hold of his daughter's hand and looked at Harry and sort of nodded, his own way of saying thank you. Harry nodded back and Blaise made his way out of the classroom.
"My daddy should be here soon sir! Sorry to keep you waiting."
"It's no problem! It's still early!"
Scorpius was buzzing in his seat waiting for his father, he couldn't sit still. While Scorpius was excited, Harry felt nauseous. He should've saw this coming. He read in the papers that Malfoy had a son around the same time he did.
"Scorpius."
"Daddy!"
Scorpius jumped out of his seat and bolted to the door, running to Malfoy. Malfoy bended down a bit, picking his son up and kissing him on the head. "Hi darling." Scorpius smiled lovingly at his father. Harry almost melted at the sight and wasn't expecting Malfoy to be this soft with his son.
"Father, guess what?"
"What?"
"My teacher is Harry Potter!"
"Your teacher is who?!" Draco exclaimed and finally took a look to his right and saw Harry Potter. Harry awkwardly smiled. As if that wasn't enough, Albus got up and walked to Draco, just shocking him even more.
"Excuse me?"
At first Draco wasn't paying attention, but when he saw Harry's eyes leave his and go to Albus, Draco's eyes also went to Albus. "Yes?"
"My name is Albus Potter, I'm Scorpius's new friend. I was wondering if I can go see your cat one day?"
Draco was shocked. Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine anything like this happening.
"Papa, Albus is my bestest friend!" Scorpius said, smiling down at Albus.
Draco finally snapped out of his confusion and put a kind smile on his face. "You would have to ask your father, but it's more than okay with me, Albus."
Both of the boys made a squealing sound and both of the fathers couldn't help but laugh at them but didn't dare to look at each other
"Can he come today?" Scorpius asked Draco. Draco looked at the clock at the wall and saw that it was getting a little late.
"Darling, you know what today is. Me and Mr. Potter can definitely set up a play date for you two or something."
Scorpius wore a sad expression after the rejection. Normally Draco would've loved to have a new friend of Scorpius over since this is technically is first friend, but today he really couldn't.
"I'm sorry Scorp."
Draco said while Harry watched the way the two interacted, feeling a bit awkward. He would've never thought Draco was this good of a father. He didn't even notice the small smile on his face watching the two.
"I'm sorry to you too Albus, I would love to have you over tonight but I'm not available. Maybe the weekend we can arrange a day for the boys to play?" Draco was now talking to Harry and it took him a minute to realize it.
"Oh uh, yes! Yes of course this weekend sounds lovely."
"Right." Draco sounded weirded out.
"Well goodbye Pot- I mean Mr. Potter. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye Albus! It was very nice meeting you."
Draco nodded at Harry and smiled at Albus before swiftly turning out to leave the room.
Harry heard Scorpius screaming goodbye to Albus and Albus brightened up.
