Chapter 1
It all started when Regina went to Marlene to get her first tattoo. Sirius had recommended her, and Regina had liked her work. Regina knew Sirius must have some bias considering how long he’d been friends with Marlene, but she trusted her brother’s judgment.
Sirius drove Regina to Marlene’s tattoo shop at eleven and then left her to go meet Remus at a restaurant.
Regina had texted with Marlene for weeks now discussing what she wanted, colors, placement, everything. So she doesn’t get why her palms are sweating and she’s struggling to force herself to walk in.
Eventually, after Regina practices the breathing techniques Sirius taught her she walks in.
The store was nice and very maximalist, she could see why her brother and Marlene got on like a house on fire.
“Regina?” Marlene asks from Regina’s right. Regina looks over in slight shock at Marlene standing behind a tall desk.
“Y-yes,” Regina never stutters, so she doesn’t know why she does now as she walks over to the tall desk. Marlene walks around the desk to greet Regina.
Marlene was beautiful. She was dressed in a tight black baby tee with a rib cage on it. Her camo jorts hung low on her hips. They were ripped and fading and had lots of paint stains, as well as a carabiner secured in one of the left loops of her jorts. Marlene had on mismatched socks with some hot pink sandals. She had on a black beanie.
Marlene had tattoos covering every inch of her body; head to toe. She also had many piercings covering her face and body. Her hair looked like someone hastily bleached it and then chopped it into an unruly mullet. Marlene had dark eye shadow covering her eyes that looked like she had quite literally just rubbed it on and called it a day. She had a matte black lip on to match her eye shadow.
Marlene was tall; at least compared to Regina. Her eyes were a deep brown, practically black. Regina could get lost in them.
“Okay, babydoll if you can just follow me we can confirm the design one last time. Then I’ll place the stencil?” Marlene asks. Babydoll, was Marlene trying to give Regina an aneurysm? Regina blinks once and the words finally connect in her brain.
Oh right.
The tattoo, the whole reason she’s here. Regina nods quickly a light blush on her cheeks. Marlene leads the shorter girl towards the back of the shop. Marlene picks up an iPad and quickly opens up the drawing of the tattoo Regina asks for. It’s just as perfect as the last time Regina saw it.
“Is this still good,” Marlene asks quietly.
“Yes it’s perfect,” Regina breathes. She looks up and finds herself face-to-face with Marlene. She could just lean right up—
No. No, Regina looks away her cheeks flushing a deep red.
“Okay, I’ll just go get the stencil you sit right on the chair,” Marlene nods in the direction of a desk chair pulled out from a desk. Regina nods and sits down tentatively. Marlene leaves with a smile.
God Regina wants her bad.
Marlene is back quickly, stencil in hand.
“Okay if you come over here I’ll position you in the chair,” Marlene gestures towards the tattoo chair she’s standing near. Regina nods and gets up.
Marlene spends the next two minutes quietly guiding Regina into the perfect position. Regina’s face flushed a deep red the whole time.
“I’m gonna fold the waistband of your pants down if you could just lift your hips?” Marlene asks. God Regina’s going to die, this is what she gets for asking Sirius for advice. Regina nods awkwardly and lifts her hips. Marlene gently folds the waistband of her sweatpants down.
“I’m going to put the stencil down, now” the older girl informs Regina, who gives a small noise of ascent.
Something about Marlene telling Regina what she's doing as she does it is comforting.
Regina sucks in a quick breath when she feels Marlene’s fingers on her lower back. She can only hope that the blonde girl can’t hear her. Marlene's fingertips are warm against Regina's cold skin.
After a moment Marlene lifts her hands and rolls her desk chair away a little.
“You can go look at the placement in the mirror right over there,” She points towards a wall with a long full-sized mirror on it. Regina gets up from the chair and walks towards the mirror.
The placement was as perfect as she knew it’d be.
“It’s exactly where I wanted it thank you,” Regina says softly. People always told her she said thank you too much, but she couldn’t help it now, it looked fantastic.
“No need to thank me doll,” Marlene has an almost arrogant smirk. Oh no, that does things to Regina. It shouldn’t but it does. Marlene knows she’s good and has no shame showing it.
Regina quickly gets back into her former position and waits while Marlene starts to get ready to actually start Regina’s tattoo.
“Okay baby, just sit tight. Tell me if it hurts or if you need a break, anything at all,” oh god oh god, if doll was killing Regina then baby actually sealed the deal.
After a beat too long Regina answers. “O-okay,” she stutters out.
Marlene nods and gets to work.
She tattoos with the precision of someone who’s been doing this forever, maybe she has.
Regina is too focused on the way Marlene’s latex gloves feel on her skin.
About half an hour in Regina starts to feel tired. Marlene notices her yawning.
“You can take a nap if you want doll,” she suggests. Regina nods and closes her eyes. She almost wants to fight it so she can keep listening to Marlene’s soft humming, but she’s just so tired.
~~~
Regina wakes up to the feeling of someone gently shaking her shoulder.
“It’s finished,” Marlene whispers. Regina blinks and rubs the sleep from her eyes. She really did need that nap. She gets up from the chair to look back in that same mirror.
And god it’s better than she ever even imagined. She knew it’d look good but this is something else. Regina pulls out her phone and snaps a quick picture.
“I just have to put the bandages on then you’ll be all set,” Marlene tells Regina sliding up next to her and putting a tattooed hand on her exposed waist. Regina nods sucking in a breath. She lets Marlene lead her back to the chair one last time.
Marlene quickly bandages it up and explains how to take care of it in perfect detail. She even gives Regina a paper of exactly what she said.
“You can always message me if you have questions, or just ask Sirius to ask me,” Marlene smiles softly. Regina nods.
Regina paid and texted Sirius asking where he was.
“Sirius is running late, do you mind if I wait here?” Regina asks quietly. Of course, Sirius’ date had to run late and of course, he had to hit traffic.
“Oh it’s not a problem doll, you were my only client today anyway,” Marlene informs the smaller girl clicking away at her desk computer.
“Really? Why?” Regina wants to kick herself for asking such an insensitive question.
“Oh well I don’t usually take clients on Saturdays, I tend to come in alone and just tidy up, draw, whatever needs to get done,” Marlene explains, with no annoyance in her tone. “Sirius asked for a favor and I didn’t have much to do today so I said yes,” she adds.
“Thank you, Sirius never told me,” Regina blushes.
“Oh it was nothing, you were an angel,” Marlene laughs. The sound would’ve made Regina collapse had she been standing.
Marlene walks over to Regina and sits down next to her. She quickly looks at Regina’s lips, if Regina hadn’t been paying such close attention she might’ve missed it, but she didn’t.
“Marlene-" Marlene smashed her lips into Regina’s before she could finish.
Regina responds with the same passion, kissing back just as hard. Marlene quickly sweeps her tongue over Regina’s bottom lip. Regina’s mouth opens with a gasp, the older girl's tongue slipping into her mouth. Marlene’s hands move to grip Regina’s waist, pulling her into her lap.
Marlene reluctantly pulls away breathing heavily. “Th-there’s a couch in the break room,” she breathes out quickly. Regina understands what she’s asking and nods fast.
~~~
Regina sits on the couch of the break room breathing heavily. Marlene is standing by the sink getting Regina a glass of water. When Marlene returns Regina thanks her quietly.
Shortly Regina gets a notification on her phone and checks it.
“S-Sirius is here to pick me up,” she says shakily.
“Okay doll,” Marlene smiles.
Regina feels so floaty in her post-orgasmic state, and she just prays Sirius doesn’t notice.
“Maybe I’ll see you?” Regina asks softly. Marlene looks up.
“Yeah, maybe,” Marlene answers.
Regina leaves quickly. Sirius is parked outside, Remus is in the passenger seat so Regina gets in the back.
“How was it?” Sirius asks pausing his conversation with Remus.
“Great, Marlene’s really talented,” in more than one area.
“Yeah she’s great, you’ll have to show me your tattoo at home,” Sirius smiles. Regina tunes Remus and her brother out as she stares out the window.
Her only thoughts are of how she can have a repeat of today.
