Getting back to the village was harder than I thought,I felt the overwhelming guilt of leaving Gaara by himself at suna .I buried those thoughts inside me .No I can't think like that ".Sasuke is waiting for me to save him.
{Time skip to the mission with Yamato about Sasori }
It turns out the spy was just Kabuto trying to trick us .To make matters worse Orochimaru is here too and wherever Orochimaru is Sasuke isn't far behind.After all this time we're so close now .
I'm coming Sasuke.
The hideouts in the middle of nowhere.Typical Orochimaru style,there's no one to come back us.
After all this time we've found it.It's almost been 3 years since our encounter at final valley ,we're getting Sasuke back .No matter what.
Door after door after door and we still weren't even close to finding him .This is getting ridiculous Naruto sighed in annoyance "seriously ,where is he?"
And then ,I heard it .
That voice .
That damn voice .
"Sakura "
I ran as fast as my legs could carry me,"finally ,after all this time ,he's here ".I went to that hole that was just made and saw him .
Sasuke .
He looked so grown,so handsome and the first thing that went through my head was just this ,"he looks beautiful ".
But his eyes ,his eyes told a different story .
He looked into his eyes and saw darkness.Nothing like the Sasuke he used to know .That sasuke might have had a rough exterior ,but inside he was warm and loving.The Sasuke he was staring at now held nothing but pure hate .It made him want to throw up.
"Sasuke"He breathed out loudly.Sai and Yamato looked at him questionably, but he didn't care .
Sasuke only replied coldy,""Naruto Uzamaki".There was a mocking tone in his voice,like he couldn't give a damn that I was here .
Naruto stumbled back a bit ,determined to tell the Uchiha how he felt .This is it ,now or never .With a deep inhale of breath he looked his lover in the eye and said his piece,"Sasuke,I knew from the day I met you we would be bonded,and slowly I-I fell in love with you .If I'm being honest with myself I always loved you ,ever since you kissed me that day I was yours .I'll always be yours ".
Sai and Yamato looked at him like he just grew wings and became a unicorn .Naruto glanced over at Sakura and froze,she looked calm but he could tell,her eyes were full of hurt and sadness .He had never told her that he and sasuke shared feelings for one another .This was going to affect their friendship in more ways then once .He sighed and pushed those thoughts away ,now was not the time to worry about that .He gazed up at sasuke and his heart sunk to the pits of his stomach .
Sasuke was laughing .
At me .
It was the worst feeling in the world .He laughed like someone who belonged in a mental ward .This wasn't the sasuke he knew .Not anymore .Quickly Naruto composed himself and blinked away the pools of water in his eyes .This isn't the time to get emotional.
"I'm sorry Naruto ,I think you've confused yourself .I never loved you ,hell I don't even think I actually liked you" ,he said in between chuckling to himself ,like he found the whole situation hilarious .
This was so much worse than I could have ever imagined.Naruto inhaled a deep breath,feeling like he had just been punched in the stomach .
Nevertheless Sasuke continued,the ghost of a grin still on his face ,"I used you like a dog with a chew toy ,you were entertaining for a while so thanks ,but I have no use for you anymore ".
Naruto was so in shock he didn't even process the last words he said.It wasn't until Sasuke was right next to him ,blade in hand and Sai blocking his blade did he finally process Sasuke's last sentence,"things that have no use to me ,aren't worth being alive,you have no meaning to me. "
If there was a god in this world ,he would take pity on me and kill me now.I'm already dead inside .
Then he saw the lightning coming from his blade.He can make a chidori stream ?There was no time to think of a defensive strategy.The lightning had coursed through him and Sai ,leaving them both injured on the ground,did he really intend to kill us ?
He was too weak to lift his head up ,but he heard Sakura's yelling and Yamato's groaning in pain.Naruto was weak,he had fallen for someone he no longer recognized .
Sasuke was giving Yamato an explanation in how his blade worked with his Chidori and was about to finish him off when Orochimaru appeared to take him away.
I couldn't do anything at all,I'm too weak .Naruto opened his eyes slightly and was able to see Orochimaru next to that asshole Kabuto. They did this to Sasuke,they must've brainwashed him.
Gathering all the strength he had he lifted his head in time to see Sasuke and his companions leave in a twist of fire .Naruto took one last look at the man he used to love,the warmth in his eyes long gone ,only his thirst for revenge lit the fire in his eyes .
And with that Naruto groaned in pain, this hurt like a bitch ,earning the attention of Sakura who rushed to his side to treat him .Even though he had lied to her this entire time,convincing her that they were only friends and nothing more ,she still came to his aid when the truth was revealed .Naruto smiled to himself, maybe he didn't have to worry about losing Sakura at all .
The pain of his injury was too great for him to stay conscious,he quickly fell into a deep sleep,the last thing he thought of were those cold eyes .
The ones you love are the ones who can hurt you the most .
