Vilification

Running atop the roofs, Kakashi and Obito charge towards the direction of the explosion. When they arrived, clouds of smoke and fire burning rose from what used to be a pub. Deidara stood in front of the building they stood on. A group of what appears to be rogue nin stood in front of the burning pub glaring at Deidara who looked really pissed off.

"Fucking bastard! If you can't pay back your debt then don't ask for it!"

When Deidara heard two pairs of sandals drop on the ground behind him he turned to sneer, but once his eyes landed on two familiar 'faces' he rolled his eyes, mumbling out, "Took you long enough".

"Deidara-senpai~ It seems Deidara-senpai has found our debtor. So are they all in debt with Akatsuki?"

"Hmph, no." Deidara points towards a guy holding onto his bleeding and burned arm, behind the rest of the group. "That's our guy. These guys are merely his group of friends."

Kakashi stares at the group unimpressed, "Maa, from what I'm seeing right now he's refusing to pay back."

"DAMN RIGHT!!! FORGET ABOUT FORCING HIM TO PAY BACK!!! I'M GONNA KILL THIS DAMN BASTARDS!!!"

"Maa, Pein-san wouldn't-"

" LIKE I GIVE A SHIT!!!!"

Deidara threw a bunch of his clay spiders towards the rogue nin and they scattered away quickly, while explosions happened everywhere. Obito had wrapped his arms around Kakashi and jumped away from the debris flying towards them.

As Kakashi and Obito landed at a safe distance from Deidara's explosions, Obito quietly whispers in Kakashi's ear, "Are you able to fight?"

Nodding, he whispers back, "So much for taking an 'easy-going' mission. I can still fight, however I might accidentally end up opening the wound on my chest. So long as I don't do anything too straining, I'll be fine."

Obito hums deeply and nods, "Alright, but if you can't seem to continue on with this fight, I want you to pull away. Don't be a reckless idiot again, I don't want you to end up hurt, alright?"

"Hai, Hai."

Obito swiftly took off to where he could hear Deidara yelling obscenities at the rogues. Kakashi went to follow as well, however both were then intervened by five rogues. One of them was their debtor whose arm is now covered in dried blood. Kakashi almost felt irritated that the bastard, even though injured, is confident he'll be able to defeat him.

"So, it's true then. Friend-Killer Kakashi has gone rogue, huh?",the debtor said, looking Kakashi over.
Kakashi gritted his jaw tightly when he heard that nickname.

He's not wrong, an inner part of Kakashi had said. Even though that nickname is true, it still doesn't mean that it didn't hurt him any less.

" So tell me, did you end up killing another friend? Is that how you went rogue? Hah, I'm surprised you hadn't gone rogue when killing your first friend!", the debtor and his friends began laughing mockingly at Kakashi. Kakashi doesn't say anything and Obito stands beside him silently.

Their laughter was then cut off when a rock was thrown onto one of them. Small trickle of blood, dripping down from their comrade's head. Both Kakashi and the rogues looked towards the direction the rock was thrown to see Tobi throwing a rock up and gravity making it fall back on his gloved palm.

"Ne~ Tobi really doesn't appreciate you vile creatures insulting Tobi's Kashi. Tobi will have to punish you." Obito crushes the rock in his gloved palm while Kakashi felt a cold, dreadful shiver down his spine when Obito emphasized the word 'punish'.

"You bastard!!! " The one with the head injury unsheathed his sword and charged towards Obito.

Kakashi was just about to protect Obito when he was pushed away from his teammate. Kakashi gasped with horror when the sword stabbed at Obito, however, both him and the rogues looked on with shock as the assailant passed right through Obito. The latter seemingly uninjured from the assault, not a single drop of blood from getting 'stabbed'.

Is Obito using some type of space-time jutsu?

Kakashi watches as Tobi's assailant snapped out of his stupor and attacked him once again. Tobi makes some exaggerated noise every time he manages to avoid the attack. Growling frustratedly, the rogue yells out, "STAY STILL YOU DAMN RAT!!"

That prompted the rest of his comrades to come and help him. One went to help their comrade while the others went and attacked Kakashi. To Kakashi's utter exasperation, their debtor has decided to take him on. Although Kakashi could give some sort of respect to the guy for his gutsiness.

Kakashi gracefully dodges their attacks, making sure to avoid getting stabbed at or reopening his chest wound. He leans backward, as low as possible, when a sword comes slashing at his upper torso and backflips away when another comes slashing from above.

One rogue attempts to manipulate the earth to grab both his legs, however he manages to jump away in time. The debtor ran and swung his sword but Kakashi ducks under and sends a hard punch to his gut.

That's for bringing Rin into your conversation.

Kakashi rolls out of the way as rocks speedily flung towards him and left dents into the ground. He grabs the sword that the debtor had dropped and manages to block an incoming sword just in time.

The two sword users danced around each other, as metal and metal constantly clang together. Kakashi summoned some lightning around the hand holding the sword, causing it to surround the metal. This time when he hit his opponent's sword, it broke into a million pieces. His opponent swore and jumped away before Kakashi could slice him apart.

In the distance, another explosion rang out with Deidara laughing maniacally.

Ah. Seems I have a maniac exploder as my teammate…

When Kakashi focused his attention back at his attacker, there were only two standing far from him. Kakashi felt the ground breaking under him and he quickly jumped away before he could get buried in the ground. While in midair, he saw a mudstone structure of a dragon and realized what's gonna happen. The dragon spat out many mud cannonballs at him at great speed. Kakashi crosses his arms in front of him and braces for the impact.

Kakashi grunts as he gets hit painfully and lands roughly on the ground. Kakashi struggles to stand as he feels a great pain and wet liquid on his chest.

Great, looks like I reopened my wound. Obito is not gonna like that…Here I thought I wouldn't need to use my Sharingan against them, but I guess I have no choice if I don't wanna aggravate my wound even more in this fight.

"Oh, what's this~? Sharingan no Kakashi, is finally gonna fight us with that eye, huh?" the debtor smirks at him as he pulls his hitai-ate above the eye.

"Maa, well I'm starting to get bored with this fight. So let's end this quickly, ne."

Before any of the rogues could move, Kakashi had swiftly formed a hand sign. The ground beneath one of the debtor's friends, came alive and split open. It swallowed their friend alive and then turned solid again, making him be buried alive. The remaining two looked on in shock then the one beside the debtor glared angrily at Kakashi, "HOW DARE YOU!?"

He charged towards Kakashi, using his chakra to flung rocks at Kakashi. Kakashi ducks and swiftly forms another hand sign to form an earth wall. Kakashi was panting tiredly due to the blood lost and adrenaline coursing through his body.

When he felt the ground shaking, his first thoughts were that Deidara had caused yet another explosion, however he hadn't heard another just yet. His eyes widen as he looks at the ground and a massive earth dragon smashes against him, sending him flying and hitting the ground painfully.

With more difficulty Kakashi struggles to stand, he stumbles slightly on his feet as he feels light-headed.

When the debtor's friend charges furiously at Kakashi, with what little chakra he has left, he summons his Chidori and stabs it through the heart of his attacker. They spat out blood as their eyes widened and contorted in pain, Kakashi let the lifeless body slide off his hand.

Kakashi drops on his knees, no longer having enough energy nor chakra to continue fighting. He notices the debtor looming over with his kunai clutch tightly in his hand. Kakashi felt his eyes roll at the back of his head and lost consciousness.

Obito looks down, as he gently holds Kakashi's limp form in his arms. He sighs with frustration, irritated that Kakashi once again injures himself and hadn't listened to him.

Idiot, I told you to pull away when the fight is too much for you. But, nope instead you decided to still be stubborn and continue to fight.

Obito hears some rustling of clothes and pained grunts and glares at the debtor. Their debtor was struggling against the ropes that Obito tied around him.

Obito had finally decided to finish off his opponents after getting bored with toying with them. When he went to find where he last saw Kakashi fighting his own opponents. Obito's vision turned red, seeing their debtor standing over Kakashi's body with a kunai in his usable hand.

He remembers grabbing the debtor's wrist tightly before the kunai could stab into Kakashi. His grip on the wrist was so tight and painful, their debtor later howled in pain as his wrist got broken. Obito had flung him as far away from Kakashi and continuously beat him to a bloody pulp.

Obito stops his fist in mid-air, as he watches their debtor cough out blood from his swollen, bruised and almost unrecognisable face. Obito growls and gets up to find a rope and ties it around the debtor's wrists. Having no mercy as the debtor whimpers from how tight the rope was around his broken wrist as he walks towards Kakashi.

Obito was burning with rage when he noticed the damages done to Kakashi. However, he felt smug when he glared at the debtor, who tried to shrink away from his heated glare.

Obito hugged Kakashi closely, when he heard a pair of sandals land near him. He glares at the intruder and relaxes slightly, once realising it's Deidara.

"Finally got rid of those annoying pests, Tobi let's- Hey is our newbie alright- Woah, Tobi you sure beat the living hell out of our debtor." Deidara had paused when he saw Kakashi unconscious in Tobi's arms. He was then shocked when he saw their debtor's barely recognisable face, blood dripping down from his most likely broken nose.

" Deidara-senpai, we need to find medical help for Kashi. "

Deidara exhales and grunts, "Fine, fine. I'll go kidnap someone who knows medical stuff. In the meanwhile, you go and set up camp somewhere far from here and take our debtor with you. By the way did your voice ju-, ahhh nevermind, whatever!"

Deidara ran off to do exactly what he said, while Obito gently carried Kakashi in his arms. He faces towards where the debtor laid and growls out, "Well? Are you gonna stand up and move or will I need to do more damage to you?"

He hears the debtor gulp and begins to try standing up. Every time he uses his hand for help he winces in pain. When the debtor finally managed to stand up, Obito kicked him forward to move.

As they walk away from the small village and into a forest, Obito shifts his hold on Kakashi to be more comfortable so he won't aggravate the wound even more. Obito kept a keen eye on the debtor, making sure he wouldn't try to escape nor attack.

When Obito felt they had walked far away enough, he commanded the debtor to stop and to sit against the tree.

"Try escaping and I'll break even more of your bones, understand?" the debtor nodded hastily, while Obito gently settled Kakashi on the ground. Obito pulls open Kakashi's Akatsuki robe and moves his shirt up to excess the damage done on him.

Their debtor flinched and shifted uncomfortably, when Obito's chakra flared up like a raging, hungry fire. Blood was almost soaking up the entire bandage on Kakashi's chest wound. Obito hand clenched tightly, wanting to beat the living hell out of the debtor even more. Unfortunately, Pein probably wouldn't like that since he wants the debtor to be brought back to him, alive.

Lucky bastard.

Obito quickly does everything he can to stop the blood. He had taken the bloodied bandages off and ripped off his sleeve and pressed it on the wound, adding as much pressure on it to stop the bleeding.

Obito gave out a sigh of relief, when Deidara finally appeared with what looked to be a medic. "Good news for you Tobi, this civilian here knows how to do medical-oriented techniques." The civilian was shaking, her eyes kept darting everywhere. When her eyes landed on the debtor's face, she gave out a small squeak and shook even more.

Deidara nudged the girl towards Kakashi," Well, go on and heal him already. I really don't wanna end up hearing that guy's whining if his boyfriend ends up dying." Obito splutters hearing Deidara's assumption.

"Deidara-senpai! Tobi and Kashi are only friends! Tobi only respects Kashi and Kashi respects Tobi back, as friends."

Deidara waves away Obito's protest and trudges towards their debtor, "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say. I'm gonna have a little talk with our 'friend' here."

Obito pouts under his mask and shuffles out of the way, for the medic to work on healing Kakashi. He still stays as close as possible, just to make sure the medic doesn't try and poison Bakakashi.

Stupid Bakakashi, next time listen to me when I tell you to pull away from a fight that's too much for you.

When the medic was finally done healing Kakashi completely, she went off and rested near a tree making sure to be as far from the Akatsuki members as possible. Deidara had gone off to collect the necessary things to build a fire, while Obito sat near Kakashi and kept watch on both their 'guests'.

When both their guests doze off in sleep, Obito looks down at Kakashi and watches his chest slowly rising and falling with each breath. Obito softly places his head on Kakashi chest, hearing the steady thumping of his heart, beating in his ears.

"Geez, Tobi you don't need to worry too much. I'm sure the medic over there will make sure that our newbie won't die."

Obito flinches away to see Deidara standing, with a pile of sticks and dry leaves in his arms. "Deidara-senpai~ You're finally back. Tobi was starting to feel bored having to watch our guests."

Deidara scoffs and rolls his eyes and begins making their campfire. Deidara walks off again mumbling out, he'll return back with fishes from the river he saw nearby.

Obito swiftly looks down when he hears shuffling of clothes from Kakashi. Kakashi slowly blinks his eyes open, his vision still a bit blurry until they finally focus on Obito's mask above him.

"Oh, Kashi you're finally awake~ You really made Tobi quite worried. Tobi had thought Kashi was about to meet the Grim Reaper." Kakashi, with Obito's help, tries to sit up.

"Ah, sorry. I thought I could beat them, I didn't exactly anticipate getting smashed by an earth dragon." Obito huffs, at Kakashi being so nonchalant.

"Bakakashi!"

"Ne, Tobi? I thought we were only grabbing the debtor. Why is there a medic here as well?"

"Hmph, well Deidara basically kidnapped her so you could get healed by her."

"Maa, Tobi-kun! It's not really necessary to take her away from her village! I could have just healed myself."

"Hah, Yeah right. Kashi needed real medical help now. Because Kashi was still being a stubborn idiot, even back when Kashi and me used to be a team. Kashi was always so stubborn that it just drove Tobi insane."

Obito feels his eye twitch when Kakashi giggles at him, however he softens as he sees pure happiness on Kakashi.

"Oh, the newbie is finally awake."

Kakashi looks at Deidara, who had three fish on a stick, and raises a hand in greeting. "Yo"

Deidara clicks his tongue and begins cooking the fish. Once, cooked the chaotic Akatsuki trio first thanks for the food and began digging in on their food.

Deidara was now sleeping, and Kakashi laid near the fire. Obito forced Kakashi to rest up to be able to gain more chakra. Kakashi at first protests, saying he could be the one to keep watch and their guest, however Obito pushes him back to lie down on the ground.

"I meant what I said Kakashi. I…really don't like seeing you get injured. When I see you get hurt, it also feels as if I'm as well."

Kakashi's eye softens at Obito's words, "Alright, I'll try and not get myself too badly hurt. If the fight gets too tough for me, I'll pull away next time. I'm sorry to have worried you, bito. It wasn't my intention. "

Obito grunts and Kakashi lies back down and falls back to sleep.
