"Obito no~" 

"Kakashi!" 

"Mmm no stop it~~" 

A growling sound comes out of Obito. 

"Obito, stop touching me~" 

Kakashi hears Obito sputtering and can just imagine his face turning beet red. 

"YOU! Do you even know what that sounds like! Have some shame, Bakakashi!! Get your ass up from bed before I throw you off!!" 

"No~~ Five more minutes, bito~" Kakashi whined as Obito tries, key word: tries, to pry the blanket away and off from Kakashi's grip on it. 

"To hell with your 'five more minutes'! While you were sleeping, Pein had called for me and Deidara for a mission. Deidara is currently waiting for us. So get your lazy ass up Bakakashi before Deidara loses his patience and ends up coming and destroying my door."

Kakashi continues to whine but finally relents and gets up. He sighs while bemoaning internally about getting away from the comfort of the bed. He blinks when Obito hands him a Akatsuki robe, Kakashi gingerly grabs it and slips the robe on. 

Hm, not bad. The fabric feels quite comfortable.

"Let's go." Obito grabs Kakashi's arm and starts dragging him out the door. When they arrive, Kakashi concludes, at the entrance of the Akatsuki lair. Deidara was seen pacing back and forth mumbling out curses but when he saw both 'Tobi' and Kakashi, he stopped and glared menacingly at them.

"What took you two so long, hn?!"

Obito laughs and puts a hand behind his head, making himself look bashful, "Ah , Deidara-senpai gomen gomen, it's just Kashi look so adorable asleep and I couldn't bring myself to wake him sooner."

There was silence for a minute.

"Tobi you're such a creep! / You watched me sleep…?"

Obito began flailing his arms around while making panicking noises, "No, no no no no! Tobi is not a creep, Deidara-senpai! Tobi definitely also didn't watch Kashi sleep, Tobi just wanted Kashi to rest for a bit more before going on his first ever mission with both Tobi and Deidara-senpai!"

Both Kakashi and Deidara still look at him with weirded out and suspicious faces, before Deidara scoffs and walks off. " Come on newbie, we're gonna start your first ever mission as an Akatsuki member. "

Kakashi shrugs and walks after Deidara, with a sulking Obito following behind. "Maa, so what's this mission we're doing? Are we gonna capture a tailed beast? "

Deidara huffs and crosses his arm, showing his disappointment, "Well aren't you quite eager newbie, but no, much to my disappointment we're not gonna be capturing anything. We're gonna be having a little 'chat' with a group of people that somehow know our location instead of catching some tailed beasts. Because-" Deidara points his thumb at Obito's direction, "-this guy practically demanded our leader to give us a very boring mission for your well-being."

Kakashi's eye widens slightly and when he looks at Obito, his eye softens and crinkles with a smile." Oh~ Is that so…"

Obito hangs his head low, with a hand behind his head and the other scratching at his mask," Ano… well you know, Kashi was still healing from his wounds made by the mean people, so… Tobi begged leader-san to give us an easy-going mission… "

Kakashi giggles," Maa, is that so…I appreciate you wanting to look out for a newbie like me, Tobi-kun~" This resulted in Obito laughing nervously while looking away.

Deidara yells frustrated at the air," URGH, both of you get a room and lock it! Because I really don't appreciate having to be forced to watch you two flirting while we're on this mission!"

Obito began yelling in protest at Deidara, while Kakashi looked away with a tint of pink behind his mask." Deidara-senpai! Kashi and Tobi are definitely not flirting, what made Deidara-senpai think that?! "

" Ahhh! Shut up, you're annoying! "

Kakashi sweat-drops and sighs in resignation.

This is gonna be a long mission…

The trio had been walking for a long while since exiting away from the lair. Around them they were only surrounded by trees and grass everywhere. To Kakashi, at least this time he wasn't getting killed by Anbu or Root.

Currently, Deidara was trying, and I mean trying, not to lose his temper and explode Tobi, that little chatterbox he is, to oblivion. Seriously, does that guy ever shut up, where does all this energy even come from!?

Meanwhile, Kakashi is left having to entertain his former…or is it now present teammate again… ? Whatever, Kakashi was trying to calm 'Tobi' down as much as possible before their explosive teammate loses his patience and decides to kill them.

"Maa, Tobi I think you need to calm your energetic self before Deidara over there decides to detonate you up to the moon."

In front of them, they could see Deidara's left hand twitching, as if itching to either strangle or do the exact thing that Kakashi had said. Deidara sighs out in relief and faces Kakashi with a grin," Yes, finally someone who is sane and I can tolerate! You know, before I didn't like you as my teammate because I haven't and still don't forgive you for destroying my arm. But I guess I can make an exception since I'm so glad to have you to occupy him!"

" Ehhh~ Deidara-senpai is so mean! Deidara-senpai should be mad that Tobi could be replacing him with Kashi. "

" Hah! Yeah right, I don't give two shits about being replaced. In fact I'm quite glad to be replaced by him and I don't envy him onebit! "

Kakashi sighs and hangs his head low, while Tobi whines, 'Deidara-senpai is so mean~' and Deidara continues to yell at Tobi. 

Why and how did Obito manage to convince me to join...? Maybe I shouldn't have joined, at least that way I could've avoided all this… I better stop this before one of them (most likely Obito) ends up getting killed by the other…

"Maa, Maa, let's all just take a deep breath and calm ourselves before this escalates into something we'll end up regretting later."

Deidara clicks his tongue and harrumphs; turning his head away he begins waking even further from Kakashi and Tobi. Kakashi sweat drops and sighs once again.

At the corner of his eye, he sees Tobi walking closely to him and whispers," I can see the look in your eye, are you perhaps questioning your choice in joining the Akatsuki, Ka~ka~shi~?"

Kakashi looks blankly at Obito, debating whether to punch Obito on his mask or let Deidara do all the work. "Well, you've somehow made it seem like joining the Akatsuki is a good idea. However, now that I'm stuck with you as a teammate again, I'm starting to think this has been a bad idea."

"OI! The hell is that supposed to mean, Bakakashi!? You should be glad being on the same team as me again, because this time I am way more stronger than when I was a kid!"

Kakashi hums and looks forward, "Is that so? Well then, when given the chance you can show me just how strong you are, 'bito."

Kakashi closes his eye in a smile when Obito crosses his arms and mumbles out, "I will!"

Kakashi sighs as silence envelops around them, causing Kakashi to miss his adorable noisy students a lot.

…Oh right, my students… Minato-sensei, if you were to see me now… would you perharp be disappointed in the path I have taken? Would you and father and… Rin be disappointed in me becoming a nukenin with Obito? Oh Rin, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, it's my fault I couldn't protect you. It's my fault that you were stuck with trash like me. It's my fault-

"OI, KAKASHI!"

Kakashi gasps when someone grasps both his shoulders in a firm grip. Unfocused eye looks up to see a swirly orange mask covering his view. Blinking out from his daze, Kakashi sees Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan glowing and spinning wildly behind the darkness of the mask.

With a weak and meek voice Kakashi calls out, "...Obito…?" In any other situation, Kakashi would have berated himself for sounding so weak, however with Obito he couldn't help but to show a little bit of weakness in front of him.

It felt like hours as Obito continued staring at Kakashi. Obito's grip on Kakashi doesn't loosen and he waits for Obito to voice out what he wanted to say to him. Instead of doing that, Obito grabs his hand and drags him to walk forward where Deidara was getting further and further from them without noticing. With his head hanging low, he allows Obito to tug him along.

Even though Obito hasn't outright said it or shown it, Kakashi thinks he knows that Obito hates him and is probably pretending to be nice to him. In all honesty, if Obito decides to punish Kakashi for Rin, he won't stop him even when Obito goes ahead and decides to kill him off.

Up above them, the sky has turned brilliantly red and orange with the clouds seemingly blending well with the colour of the sky. It felt as if someone had painted this very image of the sky. The leaves rustled gently by the cold wind blowing.

Deidara looks up and then looks at his two teammates behind him. He doesn't question Tobi holding on to Kakashi's hand and why the latter looked like a kicked puppy. Instead he told them that they will camp out here and find food as well.

Both Kakashi and Tobi nodded, and set out to do their task. Kakashi will be setting up a campfire while the other two will go ahead and find any edible food to eat.

When Kakashi gets done with igniting a fire with the dry twigs and leaves, he sits against a tree and waits for his teammates to return. Kakashi hugs his knees close to him and puts his chin atop them. As soon as he hears the sound of grass crushing under two pairs of sandals, he looks up to see Deidara with a dead bleeding rabbit grabbed by its ears and Obito with hopefully edible berries.

The trio began eating the berries as they waited for the rabbit to be cooked. To Kakashi, it was quite amusing whenever both him or Obito would eat a berry, Deidara and/or Obito would stop what they were doing and look towards either him or Obito lifting a berry to eat.

Once the rabbit was cooked enough Kakashi claims he was full, however, Obito thrust the stick of the cooked rabbit meat in his hand and said, "Kashi, looks way too skinny to not be hungry anymore. Kashi needs to eat more because when Tobi looks at Kashi, he almost looks breakable like a twig."

As they finished eating, Deidara decided to call it a night and is now sleeping soundly. This left Kakashi and Obito sitting up awake with an awkward silence surrounding them. Kakashi could feel an eye burning piercingly at the side of his head, knowing it was Obito. Nonetheless, he doesn't bother to look back at Obito and instead focuses his gaze on the fire sparkling and dancing beautifully in the darkness of the night.

"So, Kakashi. Mind telling me what had happened back there? You've completely spaced out, so what did that brain of yours ended up thinking about now?"

Kakashi tensed and looked away, feeling shame creeping all around him. He stays like that until he hears Obito getting up and walking closer to him. Obito sits down beside Kakashi and grabs his chin, turning his head to look directly at him.

" Tell me, Kakashi.", Obito demanded.

Kakashi sighs, "... Don't you blame me for killing Rin… I won't fault you if you do…"

When Obito hadn't said a word for a minute, Kakashi's eye became downcast and heart felt heavy.

"No, I don't blame you for killing Rin."

Kakashi startles and looks shocked at Obito, "W-Why?! How can you not resent me fo-for killing Rin!? Why are you not punching me, stabbing me, at least hurting me in any way as revenge for Rin!? Don't you hate me?!"

"I don't hate you. Although, I don't blame you for killing Rin, but I do blame you for being unable to protect her-" Kakashi flinch,"However, I could never hate you, never you. All this hatred, however, is directed at this cruel and hellish world."

"...Obito...back at the Akatsuki lair, how did you somehow know Rin killed herself by my hands."

Obito hums and places a hand at where his other eye was supposed to be." It was because of the Sharingan. I had managed to see through your Sharingan that we shared. I saw everything, Kakashi. I saw Kiri nins surrounding you and Rin and you had used your Chidori to attack them back. But Rin, who had the Sanbi sealed in her, timed her movement and ran in front of your Chidori."

Kakashi looked shocked at Obito and raised a hand to the eye behind his hitai-ate, fingers brushing gently on the metal." Looks like your words about wanting to see the future through this eye did somewhat become real, huh. "

" Hah, I hadn't really meant for that to actually happen. I just said that to make myself sound cool, before my apparent 'death'."

Kakashi hums, and his eye begin drooping while Obito keeps talking. Before he knew it he had fallen asleep, landing his head on Obito's shoulder. Kakashi head sprang up and mumbles out he gonna go sleep now. 

Obito grunts in acknowledgement and stood up and went to lie down in a comfortable spot near the campfire. Kakashi crawls his way a little closer to the fire and lies down and before he knows it he has fallen asleep.

"Oi, Mr and Mr. Cuddly Couple. It's time to wake the fuck up! Get your asses up before I decide to leave the both of you here to get eaten by wild animals."

Kakashi whines and makes a move to stand up. However he froze in place when he heard someone deep, raspy voice groaning sleepily behind him. That's when he realises there were arms around his torso. Kakashi yelps loudly and scrambles away.

" Look what you've done now, Tobi. You've scared our newbie here."

Kakashi stares at Obito with a wide eye as the latter stretches and stands up.

"Ah, haha, Tobi is sorry. Eto well, Tobi had seen how Kashi had been shivering during his sleep so Tobi thought it would've been helpful to share body heat. Since that's what you do when someone feels cold."

Kakashi stood up with a blush and shyly looked away," I-It's fine. A-Ano I'm glad you were looking out for my well being Tobi… "

Deidara rolls his eyes and walks away, " Yeesh, can you guys be anymore flirty in your conversation. "

" Deidara-senpai! "

"Shut up! Annoying!"

Tobi ran after Deidara complaining loudly, while Kakashi quietly followed closely behind, looking down and trying to calm the blush on his face.

After walking for a long time, the trio finally arrived at a village. Deidara pointed at the village and stated that is where they will find their client. Deidara suggested that they will split up so that they'll find their client way faster. Tobi protested loudly claiming that he wanted to, "Stay with Kashi, so he won't get attacked by mean people again."

Deidara clicked his tongue and swat with an annoyed voice, "Do whatever the fuck you want." and walks away.

"Maa, Obito. You don't really need to stay with me. I can protect myself, so no need to worry."

"Hmph, yea right. Not when you're still injured, at least this gives a reason to save you yet again, Bakakashi."

Kakashi sighs and grabs Obito's gloved wrist and drags them in the village, opposite from where Deidara had walked in. "Come on, 'Tobi', we have a mission to complete."

"Ah~ But this mission is quite simple and boring, Kashi-kun~ Why not enjoy ourselves in the meantime before finding whoever Deidara-senpai is finding. Ne, ne let's go find a dango shop!"

Kakashi looks up at the sky while internally exclaiming, 'Why me!?"

Tobi went and walked ahead, trying to find a dango shop. Kakashi stopped walking when he noticed something in a shop. His eye sparkles when he recognises a certain familiar book. However, just before he could enter into the shop, a gloved hand grabbed his wrist tightly and swiftly began dragging him away.

Kakashi whines, "Obito, come on!~ At least let me buy this book. I wouldn't need to buy another book if you'd have at least brought back my books from my home."

"Like hell I'm letting you buy that book! The only reason I didn't bother bringing back your god forsaken books is because I don't want those perverted things in my room! Also, I'm not gonna end up explaining to Deidara why you bought it!"

Kakashi sulks as the pair get further away from the shop." Kasin-kun~ Tobi wants to go get dango, and that's what Tobi and Kashi are gonna do! "

" But I don't even like eating those sweet things… "

" Too bad~"

When they finally found a dango shop, Kakashi sweat drops when Obito ordered five dangos. One for him and the rest Obito bought for himself. Kakashi giggles, amused when Obito put the dango stick through the eye of his mask and somehow managed to eat it.

"Maa, Maa, 'bito you should be careful before you accidentally stab your eye or get some grease to drop in."

"Ahh, don't worry Bakakashi. Ever since becoming teammates with Deidara I've been trying to find ways to eat without moving my mask. Hey now that I think about it, why don't you show me your face as well. I think I deserved it. "

"Hm~ Is that so."

"Yeah, you've already seen how I look behind this mask, so I say it's fair that I see yours as well. What's there for you to hide anyway, do you feel ugly under that mask."

Kakashi giggles, "Maa, Maa, 'bito it's just a normal face. I don't see why you have to be obsessed with it."

Kakashi quickly grabs Obito's wrist as soon as he sees him lunge forward. "Ahh! Come on Bakakashi, let. me. just. see it."

"Gah! Obito, get your dirty dango hands away from me! I'm not letting your dirty smelling dango hands anywhere near my face!"

"Hey! How fucking dare you-"

The pair were suddenly interrupted when an explosion was heard somewhere and the ground shook violently under their feet.

Obito swore, as both him and Kakashi looked towards the uprising smoke where the explosion had been. "Looks like Deidara-senpai found our client."
