Vilification

Kakashi, who is now fully dressed, because he basically forced Obito to get all of his clothes back at Konoha. Is now standing in a meeting room, right in front of the remaining Akatsuki members who had not known of his presence in the building.

When Kakashi had entered the room, with Obito behind him, the remaining members looked at him in shock, skepticism and disbelief. They had seen Kakashi's hitai-ate covering his forehead and left eye, that he had slashed the Konoha emblem in half, breaking off his connection with Konoha.

Pein, who stood at the head of the table, nods in acknowledgement at Kakashi. While Deidara, sitting next to a shocked Itachi, looks at him in boredom and snarls at Obito.

They continued to stare at him as he made his way to stand beside Pein. He saw Obito had taken a seat between Deidara and a weird plant guy and started chattering away at Deidara, much to Deidara's annoyance.

"Nice of you to finally join us Kakashi", Kakashi nods and ignores the purple hair woman's reaction, who stood at Pein's other side, shifting uncomfortably and looked at Pein in confusion. Kakashi examines the people in the room, until his eye lands on both of Itachi's. Itachi's face was neutral, however the widening of his eyes showed that he's speechless of Kakashi being in the lair of the Akatsuki.

There were a few minutes of silence, aside from Obito's chatter, until an Akatsuki with slick back grey hair exclaimed in question about Kakashi's presence. This then resulted with the room filled loudly with exclaims of the same questions at Pein.

The room later fell into complete silence when the table boomed loudly and shook violently, as the only woman in the room told everyone to shut up while glaring furiously at the occupants around the table. Kakashi looks on with an unimpressed look, while Pein begins talking.

"Hatake Kakashi, will now be one of us.", Pein puts a hand up before any protests are verbalised, "He won't be a full time member yet. He, like all of us, will wear a ring when he proves his loyalty to the Akatsuki, then he'll become a full-time Akatsuki member."

Pein looks towards Kakashi and begins to introduce each member of the Akatsuki and the rings that represent each of them.

" You won't be able to start a mission just yet Kakashi. You'll have to wait until your Akatsuki robe has been created and given to you." Kakashi grunts, since it's a good thing. He needs to check on his wounds to see if he's healed enough to fight.

Pein looks back at the members and announces," As we all know, our mission is to capture all the jinchuuriki, however, you must not bring any harm to one of the jinchuuriki named Naruto."

There had been some protest in the group, but everyone nodded in acceptance. Pein then asked if anyone has any questions. The chair scraped loudly on the ground as Obito stood up and ran and side-hug Kakashi.

" Ne, Ne, Leader-san don't forget that Kashi will be on Tobi's team. Because Tobi has decided to claim Kashi so no one here can have him for themselves."

Kakashi sweat drops and squirms in Obito's hold as everyone looks to be so done with Tobi's antics.

Gee, I don't ever remember Obito being such a big hugger when we were kids...

Pein took a deep breath and pinched the bridge of his nose and nodded. When no one else seemed to have anything else to say, Pein announced the end of the meeting and everyone began shuffling out the room.

Kakashi and Obito just got out into the hallway, when Itachi stood in front of Kakashi. "Kakashi-san, may I talk to you in private." Kakashi blinks, not expecting to be able to talk with Itachi so soon.

He looks behind him at Obito, to see that he also had company to talk to, it's that weird plant guy called Zetsu. Kakashi looks back at Itachi and motions for him to take them somewhere private to talk.

They arrived in what looked to be Itachi's room. The room itself basically looks the same as Obito's, but there were two singular couches with a coffee table in between. At the bedside table, there looked to be a picture frame on it, which he assumed might be a picture of Itachi's family.

Kakashi and Itachi went to take a seat at the couches. As soon as they sat down, Itachi immediately said, "Kakashi-san, what are you doing here? If this is some kind of undercover mission, then you'll have to give up because you'll soon be caught and get in trouble."

"Maa, Itachi I didn't know you would be worried for me. I feel so happy knowing that you're afraid for me." Kakashi chuckles light-heartedly, but stops when Itachi gives out a stern, "Kakashi-san", Kakashi sighs and scratches the back of his head.

"No, this is actually not an undercover mission. I became an Akatsuki at my own free will, Konohagakure has no part of my choice in joining the Akatsuki."

Itachi's hands twitch slightly, as he stares with wide unblinking eyes at Kakashi. Itachi was speechless, not knowing what to say, but quickly regained his composure.

" Is that so, then Kisame and I should have taken you that day since you're so willing to give up on Konoha. Now Konoha is now slightly vulnerable due to losing one of it's strongest shinobi. Akatsuki could even prepare to attack it with the information you'll give us."

Underneath his mask, Kakashi smirks slightly in amusement. He already knows what Itachi is trying to do, Itachi still thinks this is an undercover mission and is trying to get him to admit it.

" Yes, Konoha could perish immediately with all the information I have on them. I could point out the weaknesses in their defences and Akatsuki could immediately infiltrate inside Konoha."

Itachi's facial impressions now showed how thunderstruck he fely. Itachi thins his lips as his eyes look at the ground, then goes back up to look at Kakashi.

" Kakashi-san...you're really not pretending? You've really become Konoha's missing-nin? What happened to all those times where you told me that you'll stay loyal to Konoha, through and through."

"Well, I wish I was pretending, but no, I'm not. To be honest I didn't exactly expect to become a missing-nin. I had been accused of a crime that I hadn't done."

"You've been accused?"

"Yeah, I've been accused of killing seven shinobis. You would have expected everyone to not believe that I, who've stayed loyal to Konoha for many years, would do anything to harm Konoha.....but....here I am."

Itachi frowns as his brows furrow, he clasps his hand together and questions," How did you manage to escape Kakashi-san? Konoha would have tried their hardest to capture you, due to how dangerous and exposed they would be, now that you've become their enemy. As soon as you became a missing-nin, they must have known that they'd be endangered since you know all the insides of Konoha. "

Kakashi smiles with his eye closed and scratch his mask with a finger," Ah..., well, as much as I don't want to admit it, I've been saved by that person, Tobi... "

Itachi makes a surprised face,"...Tobi... "

Kakashi nods," Yeah, I had tried to escape from both Anbu and Root, however, I collapsed due to chakra exhaustion. When I gained consciousness, I was in his room and he basically told me that he had saved me. " Kakashi rolls his eye, annoyed with what he says next, "You have no idea how much I wanted to punch him then and there when he boasted to Pein, claiming he was my hero who saved me from a bunch of 'mean people' .

Itachi huffs muttering out," Maybe you should have. " Itachi's facial then turned serious, which made Kakashi squirm a bit under that gaze. Because seriously, he still hasn't forgotten that time when Itachi had used tsukuyomi on him.

"Kakashi-san, about Tobi, you should be careful around him. He's not who he portrays himself out to be."

Kakashi was a little startled when Itachi said that.

Does he know Tobi is Obito?

Kakashi doesn't say his thoughts out loud and waits for Itachi to state his reason for suspecting 'Tobi'. But before Itachi could say anything more, the door to his room opened and in came Hoshigaki Kisame, with a tea set in his hands.

"... Uh..." Kisame stares at the occupants in the room.

"Kisame-san, is there anything you need? " Itachi raises a brow at him.

Kisame clears his throat and slightly raises the tea hand, "Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt your conversation. I thought the both of us could relax together with some tea..." He then looks at Kakashi, "By the way newbie, you better go back to Tobi, because he's being extra annoying not being able to find where you are."

Kakashi scoffs and rolls his eye, "I guess I'll see you later then Itachi. It was nice having to meet you again, on more friendly terms."

Itachi nods and if you squint you could see the corner of his lips were slightly raised, "Yes, see you later and it's good to see you again as well, taicho."

As Kakashi had left Itachi's room, he heard Kisame's loud exclamation, "TAICHO?!" Kakashi smirks and puts his hands in his pocket as he sets out to find where Obito is before he manages to piss off even more people.

While walking Kakashi thinks back about Itachi. He certainly notices how much he has grown. He definitely lost those baby cheeks and now had a sharp defined jawline and almost had the same face as a certain someone.

Hah, definitely took his looks from his dad, luckily doesn't have the same lips as him though. Can't ever imagine seeing Fugaku's, frowning forever lips, on Itachi. I mean seriously, does that man ever have any other expression besides a frown, that looks as though it could just reach the ground if he tries hard enough. Actually scratch that, most of the Uchiha that I've seen have frowns like that as well, I mean even OBITO has it! I guess that's a typical Uchiha thing, always a bunch of frowny faces.

That's when Kakashi halts in his steps, memories of hearing the Uchiha Clan massacre come back to him all at once. Damn, looks like he had forgotten to ask Itachi about why he did something like that. Does Obito even know about the death of the Uchiha Clan. Most likely, with how long he had been alive and surviving as an Akatsuki member.

Wait, how did Obito even survive....?! I saw half of his body crushed under a rock! How had he survived and.... why didn't he come back to Konoha....? Is it because.... I failed to protect Rin....

"OH!! Kashi!!!! There you are, Tobi had been trying to find where Kashi was hiding."

Kakashi startled when he saw Obito, with Deidara behind, hurrying towards him and hugging him, yet again. When Kakashi looks at Deidara, he was glaring intensely at Obito, making him look like he's planning to murder him.

" YOU!!! ", Deidara points at Kakashi, "DON'T YOU DARE EVER LEAVE OUT OF HIS SIGHT, HN!!!! THIS IDIOT WAS SO MUCH MORE ANNOYING WHEN YOU WERE GONE, HN!!! HE KEPT ASKING, 'Kashi, Kashi, where is Kashi'." Deidara mimicked Obito's exact words for Kakashi. "You know, I'm so glad that you now have all his attention and I don't envy you at all! At least now I'm free from this annoyance!"

Kakashi watches as Deidara stalks off, passes them and down the hallway. Kakashi huffs out, "Well, you certainly seem to like pissing people off, huh Obito. Isn't that supposed to be my job?"

Obito scoffs and releases Kakashi, "It's not my fault that kid gets angry so easily, he needs to learn how to keep his anger issues in check."

"You're one to talk, crybaby."

"OI! I'll have you know that I haven't cried for a long time now! Also, I never had any anger issues, it's your fault for always angering me!!!"

Kakashi does his usual eye smile, which Obito wanted to punch, "Maa, Obito were you really that worried for me that you basically begged everyone to look for me?"

Obito stiffens and quickly changes the topic, " AHHH!! Come on Bakakashi, we're going back to my room to change your bandages and check on your wounds!" He walks away quickly with Kakashi quietly following behind, giggling.

Stupid Bakakashi. Stupid acting. Stupid everything! GAH!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, YOU DON'T NECESSARILY NEED TO KEEP HUGGING HIM WHILE ACTING AS TOBI!! I can't wait to start on the Moon Eye Plan, then I can finally drop this Tobi facade.

Obito felt his eye twitch when Kakashi started humming a tune, as if he hadn't caused Obito to have an internal crisis with himself.

When they arrive inside Obito's room, Obito tells Kakashi to remove his shirt and immediately tells Kakashi to shut up, because he refuses to be called a pervert AGAIN. Obito swears he could almost imagine Kakashi smirking underneath that irritating mask of his.

Obito went inside his bathroom to retrieve a medkit and walked back to Kakashi and kneels in front of him. He knows healing people isn't really his strong suit but at least he knows the basics in how to bandage on oneself or someone's wounds. 

Taking off the bandages from Kakashi's torso, he checks that the wounds looked to be getting better, however Kakashi can't do anything too extreme or he might reopen them. That's exactly what he told Kakashi, who then nods. 

As he starts putting on new bandages, Obito feels Kakashi fidgeting slightly and fingers pinching on the bed sheet. 

"Kakashi, stop moving, I can't bandage you properly with you fidgeting like a restless puppy." 

Kakashi looks down and turns sideways and mumbled, "Sorry". He looks back at Obito, who saw his mask move, indicating he wanted to say something. However, he seems to change his mind and looks away. 

Obito stares at Kakashi and glares, "What is it! Spit it out already!! If you have something to say-" Obito stopped mid-sentence as his eye widened when Kakashi took his orange mask off. Obito flinched when he felt cold fingers brushing over the side of his scarred face. Obito stares at Kakashi and he could see many emotions dancing in his eye.

Oh. Dammit Kakashi. You used to be so unreadable to me, but now I'm able to read your emotions like an open book.

Obito sighs and lightly grabs Kakashi's delicate hand. "Stop it Kakashi. Whatever you're thinking, stop. Because, I don't regret saving you from that boulder. I'm glad to be the one crushed under the boulder instead of you. So stop giving me that guilty look, because I will never ever regret it." 

Kakashi's eyes hardened and his right hand clenched into a fist." W-Why? Why don't you regret it? You should regret it! I-I killed RIN, Obito!!! So, why, why aren't you hating me, why aren't you hurting me!!! I-I deserve it, dammit Obito!!! I-"

" Enough Kakashi! If you're taking the blame for R-Rin's death, then I take the blame as well. If only I had arrived there faster, then maybe I could've saved her and she would be alive. Rin, she decided to die at the hands of someone she loved. To protect the Hidden Leaf. To me, the you who couldn't protect Rin is an Imposter-"

Obito felt Kakashi flinched, however he still tightens his hold on Kakashi's hand." To me, Rin is someone not meant to die. So the dead Rin is also an Imposter. RIN IS ONLY RIN ALIVE! The shinobi system, the village, shinobi themselves, they created these circumstances. WHAT CAUSED ME TO DESPAIR IS THIS WORLD ITSELF!!! THIS COUNTERFEIT WORLD!!! I mean look at me!!!"

Obito, gestures at himself with his other hand, "There is nothing in my heart anymore. I don't feel pain any longer…" Obito, with the hand holding Kakashi's, rubs soothing circles with his thumb, "There's no need to feel guilty Kakashi. The hole in my heart was opened up by this world of hell. I only had pain inside here before, but really, what's the meaning in that? So I abandoned it all. Meanwhile, you… have suffered all this time… It is why I need to complete this plan so that there will never be any wars anymore. With you by my side, Kakashi, we'll be able to make a perfect world where people like you, Rin and I will never have to suffer."

Kakashi stares wide eyed at Obito as if he has grown two heads, while Obito continues on with his speech, Obito grabs both of Kakashi's hands and clasps their hands together, "Together, we'll be unstoppable Kakashi. No one can stop us from unleashing the Plan."

Obito grins up with malicious excitement at Kakashi. Surely, Kakashi will understand why he wanted to do this. Afterall, ever since Konoha betrayed him, he must want to have the exact same thing that Obito wants, surely he would!

" When I saw how you had become so devoid of emotions, because of what the Hidden Leaf had done to you. I decided to give you a new purpose and it's to stay by my side to help me with my plan."

After saying that, this caused Obito to think back to both his and Zetsu's conversation, before Kakashi had gone off somewhere.

Obito and Zetsu had gone somewhere more private where none of the Akatsuki members would overhear their heated conversation. " What the hell do you think you're doing?! What is he doing here, Obito?! Why did you bring him here, what if he's a spy Obito!? Our plan for the Moon Eye will later be tarnished by him, and you won't be able to get that perfect world you dreamed of!"

Obito crosses his arms and rolls his eye," Don't worry, Kakashi being here won't change anything in our plans. We will still be able to achieve our mission with the Moon Eye. Kakashi's here, because he had no purpose to fight for Konoha any more, so I gave him one. To stay by my side and fight with me. This will not change our plans. "

Zetsu growls under his breath," You better hope so. Otherwise, I'll be the one to end him if he does. " Obito glares at Zetsu behind his mask, but nonetheless nods.

Obito snapped out of the memory when Kakashi called out his name. Obito shakes his head, to clear his mind. He looks at Kakashi, who seems to have something else to ask him. Once again, he tells Kakashi to spit out on what he wanted to say.

" Obito… How did you manage to even survive? Rin and I…. we saw you crushed under that boulder. Even though I'm happy that you manage to survive, there was just no way you could have been able to escape under that boulder."

Obito blinks, not knowing how exactly he will be able to tell. Because, this, he would not be able to answer as the seal on his heart prevents him to.

Obito scratches the back of his head while closing his eye," Mmm, well I can't exactly tell you. All I can say is that I had been saved by someone and they had managed to implant the Mokuton on me for the damaged side of my frame."

"M-Moku…ton?…"

Obito nods, he could tell that Kakashi wanted to ask who saved him but instead had accepted his reason. Obito stood up and pats Kakashi on his shoulder, "You should rest now, for your wounds. Because, soon we might have to go on a mission. I wouldn't want to have you suddenly collapse on me during a mission, due to exhaustion."

Kakashi sighs in resignation and lays down on the bed. Obito puts his mask back on and goes to the sofa to take a nap as well, after whispering,"Rest well, Kakashi."

Orochimaru smirks at the two nins, who stood in front of him. "You know Sasuke, I really didn't think you'd go on with this plan, after all Hatake was your sensei."

Sasuke scoffs, "I have always wanted to make that bastard suffer anyways. He always thinks that he knows everything about me, when in reality he does not! He doesn't understand how I feel!"

Orochimaru smirk widens at the expression on Sasuke's face. Kabuto clears his throat and looks questionably at him," What's the meaning of all this anyway. Why did you make Sasuke Chidori those shinobis? " Sasuke tries not to look interested, but even he wanted to know the reason.

Orochimaru hums and then there was a chuckle, "Well, there had been a myth about the Hatake Clan. This myth is said that, when a Hatake's heart is completely consumed by darkness, they will be able to turn into a monstrous demon looking wolf. Similar to what a hellhound will probably look like. There were also rumours about this myth and it's that if anyone were to be able to kill and take their blood, it would possibly help them to stay young, like an immortal. I wanted to experiment on him to see if that myth was true. "

Orochimaru sighs and looks disappointed at them," But too bad, that Akatsuki you had told me, took him away before you both could so much as move and take Hatake. "

Kabuto's eyes had shined when Orochimaru told them about the myth, even Sasuke looked intrigued by this. However, they both fell into displeasure about hearing their failure in capturing Hatake Kakashi.

" We're sorry for not being able to retrieve Hatake Kakashi for you."

Orochimaru waves Kabuto off, "Well it can't be helped, but this could either mean that Akatsuki member will persuade Hatake into joining them. Hatake, with no purpose to fight for the Village because of their betrayal, will most probably join them. If possible we could capture Hatake Kakashi when he's on one of their missions to capture the jinchuuriki. We could ambush him while he's busy capturing one of the jinchuuriki, then maybe I can start my experiment on him to see if the myth is true. "

Orochimaru giggles with delight, which manages to creep out Sasuke. Kabuto also giggles alongside Orochimaru which further creeps Sasuke out even more. He almost feels sorry for what's gonna happen to Kakashi. Key word, almost.
