Amazing day
Week 2: *Blank Period*
The day started like any other.
Sakura had gotten up early to make breakfast. Always, no matter if it was a hot or cold day, she drank hot tea, so hot that it burned her.
They sat down to have breakfast, looking at the map, deciding together where they would go next. Sakura preferred warmer places. They began to walk, holding hands, talking (mosty her) and enjoying the landscape that was changing as they went.
A little later that day it started to rain. They took refuge in a cave, and like every rainy day, Sakura stared at the sky for several minutes in silence, as if no one else existed.
They continued traveling until they reached a small village, their timing was perfect because they were in need of a doctor. Sakura checked the patient. She took off her gloves, tied her hair in a ponytail, and before starting the procedure, she said a short prayer. Like she always did.
We sat on a roof, named every star. Shared every bruise and showed every scar
Hope has its proof. Your hand in mine, singing life has a beautiful, crazy design.
Sasuke noticed these quirks more often in her. He was fascinated to discover those little things in Sakura and he was sure she was discovering them in him too.
After completing the small surgery, they left the village with a few bottles of sake as a thank you and continued on their way. The sun was beginning to set, the faint orange outlining the features of Sakura's profile. And Sasuke revealed in the beauty of his companion, smiling at her incessant chatter about what he called nonsense, but listened carefully anyway.
At night, they lay down under a starry sky. Her hands touched every scar on his body before falling asleep (another quirk of hers) and kissed the one just below his left shoulder.
"Sasuke-kun"
"Hn" his hand caressed her hair, gaze lost in the stars.
"If you want, I can remove these scars"
Sasuke stopped the movement of his hand and turned to look at her, wondering what to say "Do they bother you?"
"What? No, of course not I just…was saying”
Sasuke thought about his answer for a while, he had never really thought about it, for him the scars were an inescapable consequence of his life as shinobi, but with Sakura he supposed it was different, surely, she had removed several scars from her body, now that he thought about it, she only had one scar, and he was certain of this because by now he had already traveled every inch of her body.
Several times.
And time seemed to say forget the world and its weight and here i just want to stay amazing day
"It is not necessary" he finally said "They don`t bother me"
"Mm okay. I guess that's good, they look sexy on you Sasuke-kun "
He smiled at such occurrences "You are so annoying" his voice relaxed "You have a scar too" he affirmed.
“Uh… yeah. It's from - "
"From your fight with the akatsuki"
"How do you know that?" The surprise in her voice was evident.
The black haired man looked at the scar for a moment. "I heard Orochimaru talking about that, Kabuto was telling him that the akatsuki of the red sand had been defeated by a pink-haired kunoichi. There wasn't much to think about, I knew it was you"
A smile spread across Sakura's lips "So you used to ask about me?"
Sasuke made a nonchalant face "I just listen to what the others were saying"
"Whatever you say Uchiha"
"Go to sleep already, Haruno"
Sakura smiled again seeing his flushed cheeks. Snuggling closer in his embrace, she finally gave in to the weariness of the day "Good night Sasuke-kun"
He kissed her pink hair, tightening his arm around her waist.
The day was ending, just as it had started. The two of them, hugging under a thin blanket.
With each passing day it became clearer to Sasuke that this was all he wanted. Stay by her side, see her smile, be together. He knew that the world they lived in, the lives they had, wouldn't allow days like this forever, but for now …
For now, this ordinary day is for him the most amazing thing ever.
And the view the whole milky way. In your eyes I drifted away. And in your arms I just want to sway.
Amazing day.
