Senku Ishigami
He didn't know why he was compelled to accept that big oaf's request to tag along. He was probably thinking it was going to be a date if it was just him and Yuzuriha. Senku sighed as he followed the two of them through the darkened park.
"Senku, do you know what they say about this statue?" They had stopped before a large statue centered in the middle of the park. It was a young woman wearing what he assumed was a traditional miko's attire, one of her hands rested by her side while the other clutched something to her chest, a peaceful look was etched onto her face.
"No." he didn't really care. All he wanted to do was continue his research, but Taiju and Yuzuriha made it their sole purpose in life to make sure the scientist didn't stay cooped up on the weekends.
"Hehe, of course, he wouldn't know!" Taiju laughed. Senku scowled as Taiju approached the statue and put his hand in the statue. Yuzuriha snapped a quick photo as he posed.
"They say that when she touches hands with her soulmate, she'll become human. So it's a popular spot for photos and videos. Of course, it's just a silly rumor!" Yuzuriha smiled at Senku,
Senku mumbled something about soulmates and relationships being illogical as hell, before stepping beside the statue. Yuzuriha had her camera pointed at him and the statue, ready to take his photo. Senku sighed as he slipped his hand into the statues.
A moment later, he heard Yuzuriha gasp.
"Senku!" he barely heard Taiju scream his name. Senku had barely managed to catch the confused woman that had suddenly appeared.
"Does this mean…" Yuzuhira and Taiju looked at each other before grinning at Senku.
"Congratulations!" Taiju slapped his hand against Senku's back.
Senku was speechless, he had no idea what to think of the situation he was currently in. Soulmates? Preposterous. And yet, she was in his arms was wrapped around his neck and she stared into his red eyes with her confused blue ones.
She gave him a shy smile, a blush dusting her cheeks, "H-hello…" her voice made a shiver run down his spine. "I'm Kagome and I guess I'm your soulmate."
