Chapter 15
“What?”
“I said, Let. Me. Take. You. Home.” He repeated.
You hesitated.
You didn’t know where to go, but neither did you want to stay here.
“No, it's quite alright, I can take care of myself.” You tried laughing it off.
“I’m just making sure nothing will happen to you.”
“I’ve gone out and walked back home many times. Please stop treating me as if I’m a child.”
“What is wrong having someone take you home?”
“Everything. Because you are someone I cannot…fully..trust. I mean, we only met a couple minutes ago!...Oh! And mind you! It is absolutely not okay to pick up a total stranger and teleport them to your home.”
“You make it sound as if you’ve been through this before.”
“I, uh, huh?”
“This should not be of any surprise, now should it?”
“Can I ask for your intentions? Perhaps then I may let you take me home.”
He paused. Dreadful silence filled the hall.
“Do you know cursed spirits?”
“Ye– no.” You responded. What would happen if you said yes? You only watched a few episodes of this anime, so you weren’t quite sure what these curses are capable of.
“Well, cursed spirits are enemies that wizards face. These are paranormal entities generated by the cursed energy of the negative emotions of humans.” He explained while holding up a finger.
“Oh, cool, may I go home now?”
“Curses are horrendous creatures, they are brutal and disgusting. Many people gets murdered by them. You can never be too careful when it comes to them.”
“Okay, cool, awesome, thanks for the info. Imma take my leave.” You said.
“I’ll come with you.” He insisted.
“Haha, yea…no thanks. I’d rather die…”
‘Than hang out with creeps like you,’ you finished in thought.
“Well, you can’t just throw your life away! Tell me, why do you keep refusing my help?”
“Tell me, why are people living here?”
“Eh?”
“Why are people living here, if there are such creatures around? There shouldn’t be many people living here if those curses are as common and brutal around here as you make it sound?” You suggest.
“There have been many accidents recently, I think there must be many more out there.”
“Uh huh, still, thanks for your offer, but I'll pass.”
“You’re not scared of curses?”
“Why should I? I’m just heading home. I go out everyday. Nothing is going to change”
“Fine.”
“Huh?”
“You can leave now, looks like there is no way I can convince you”
‘OH, THANK HEAVENS,’ you internally screamed.
“Ah, great, thanks! I’ll be on my way now! Bye!”
‘And I hope to never see you, or your students again!’ You added in thought.
You ran off.
You ran towards the direction of where Gojo dropped you off.
You headed out the back doors where you were met by a forest.
Oh great. Now you needed to find your way out of here without being murdered by a curse.
You started brainstorming ways to get out of there as you walked away from the house.
You watched as the sun set before you.
You knew it would be dangerous by yourself if you were roaming around a forest at night.
Suddenly, you heard something snap.
It wasn’t too far from you considering how loud it was.
Fear filled you as you froze where you were.
Adrenaline started filling you up as your urge to run was starting to get unbearable.
“AHHHHHHHHH” You screamed as you dashed away to who knows where.
******
(Gojo’s POV)
After you left, Gojo felt a tad bit frustrated that he couldn’t convince you to take you home.
But…
If he couldn’t take you home, then he could watch you go home.
He knew what he was doing was kinda wrong, but he promised himself that it was for your own safety.
He took off his blindfold, and flew into the sky.
It wasn’t long before he saw you walking down a path that would eventually lead to the city.
He lowered himself behind a tree not too far from you.
Without watching his step, he accidentally stepped on a twig and snapped it in half.
Uh oh.
“AHHHHHHHHHHH” He heard you scream. He quickly peeked over the tree to find you were nowhere to be found.
He cursed under his breath.
Suddenly, he felt a small vibration in his left pocket where he kept his phone.
Seeing that it was Nanami, he picked up.
“Nanami-kun!~ It’s rare for you to call!~”
******
(Back to your POV)
Before you knew it, you were almost out of the forest.
You saw beautiful lights glowing in the distance in which you assumed that it was the city you were in earlier.
Your eyes sparkled at the lights.
Without watching where you were going, you ran off the unnoticeable cliff in front of you.
“Huh?” You turned white in an instant.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” You swore everyone within 80 meters could hear you.
You only knew one way to stop this.
You closed your eyes and screamed the name of the person who brought you here in the first place.
“SORANAGI, SORANAGI, SORANAGI!!! IMMA DIE!!! HELP ME!”
When the image of him didn’t appear, you cracked your eyes open to peek at how high you were up.
Your eyes popped out of your eye sockets at how close you were to the ground, and the fact that you were falling at an alarming and increasing rate.
You were gonna die.
You closed your eyes again, ready for the impact that was going to end your life.
You counted the seconds in your head.
One, two, three, four, five, six…
It wasn’t until thirty seconds that you felt something cold rush over your skin.
You opened your eyes to find that you were underwater.
Underwater?
You looked up to find that you weren’t far from the surface.
You swam up and gasped for air.
You looked around you to find that it was around midnight and there was a ship in the distance.
It was quite far from where you were, so you were positive the people on the ship couldn’t see you. Even if they could, they wouldn’t be awake.
Or so you thought.
You were about to note that it was a good thing that it was midnight and that people on that ship wouldn’t be awake. But…
You were in the middle of nowhere.
How did you go from falling off a cliff to being in the middle of an ocean?
Was this another anime?
