Chapter 1
Third POV
The war was over. It's been over for 5 years. One survivor was surrounded by the graves of many. The survivors name was Umino Iruka a 'chuunin' teacher from Konohagakure. All over his body were seals that held a big purpose for his survival in this already destroyed world. Around him are the 10 tailed beasts. Yes 10. "And done." Iruka looked down at his work with a smiled. The other tailed beasts nodded and started to channel their chakra into the seal that Iruka created. The seal glowed a dark red before consuming all of them.
Iruka POV
I felt a mass amount of pain run through my body as a large amount of chakra entered my body. I quickly looked around to try and figure where I was. I was in my apartment. I layed in the bed clutching the sheets as I tried to breathe normal. "we did it?!" I hear a low grunt of agreement in my head. Finally, when the pain subsided, I got up and looked out of the window. Four heads. I bit my thumb then did some hand signs. With a small poof a small black cat sat infront of me. "Can you go find out the date?" The cat nodded as I opened the window and watched him head into the streets. Only a couple of minutes later did he poof back infront of me. "It's a Sunday and the gennin test is tomorrow." I patted the cat's head. "Thanks Coal." Another poof and he was gone.
At the end of the day I reinforced my seals on my apartment, skipped eating and decided to talk with the 10 tailed beast. By the next morning I got changed and headed out the door. "Why a Sunday? I can barely look people in the eye! But at least I'll get to see the kids again." I hear the 10 tails huff in agreement. Opening the door to the classroom I walked to the front and started my talk. We started the writing exam only for it to shortly end an hour later. The next couple of test went the same as before.
I watched as Narto sat in the clearing reading over the forbidden scroll. He then stood up and tried to use the shadow clone jutsu. After about an hour I jumped down and picked up the forbidden scroll. "Iruka-sensei?!" I nodded then sensed Mizuki coming. I quickly grabbed Naruto and jumped into the trees. "Wha-" I put my hand over his mouth and made a hush sound. "Where's that fucking demon brat?" Mizuki started to look around. "You stay here and be quiet." I handed the scroll to him then jumped down. "Mizuki!" Mizuki turned to look at me. "Anbu got the scroll back." I watched as Mizuki flinched. "That brat got caught." I tilted my head. "What do you mean?" Mizuki smirked before quickly through a kunai before jumping into the trees. I dodge the kunai then held my hand out and activated one of my seals on my body. Mizuki's windmill shuriken came at me only to be deflated by a chakra barrier. "Mizuki. You now this is a crime?" Mizuki jumped down and onto the barrier. Adding my fire infinity into the barrier it glowed a blood red before bursting into flames. Mizuki yelled as his skin and clothes started to burn. Minutes later Mizuki passed out on the floor covered in burns and blood. I took the barrier down and sent a chakra pulse across the village. "You can come down now!" I watched Naruto jump down with sparkling eyes. "That was awesome Iruka-sensei!" I smiled. "Well since were here. Show me what you learnt from the scroll. Naruto nodded then did the shadow clone jutsu. I smiled and told him to close his eyes. Taking my hitai-ate off I tied it around Naruto forehead. Naruto opened his eyes and smiled. "Congratulations Naruto." Naruto hugged me just as an anbu with a dog mask appeared. "What happened?" I shook my head and looked at Naruto. The anbu nodded before picking up Mizuki.
"I'll make sure he gets to Ibiki."
"Thanks dog-san."
Dog soon vanished in a swirl of leaves. "Come on. Let's get you home." Naruto nodded as we headed back towards his apartment. When we arrived I waved Naruto goodbye and started to head towards the Hokage office.
"Iruka! Thanks for bringing the scroll back."
"No problem Hokage-sama."
