Another day, another realization

She sighed as she was assigned to another squad, this time a jonin squad. This likely meant that this was her test to see if she was qualified to be a chunin. She didn't get just why they couldn't let her be a chunin already considering what kind of missions she's had.

'The Hokage is dumb I suppose.'

She finished her mission quickly, not bothering to get along with her temporary teammates. Two of them were chunin and one jonin, the chunin were surprised to see her keep up with them but didn't have much time to ponder on it. The jonin also kept to himself during the mission so things were very quiet.

She tried to not gross over the fact that she had intestine goo on her shirt, and blood all over her body. She was used to blood but intestine mix was not something she would like see ever again. Another reason to not be a medic nin, she supposed.

"Uh... Mori? What the-"-Raidou

"Mission. I do not want to talk about it. Yes, I will meet you after I clean up. And yes, I do request for you to keep quiet about this or else I will feed you cockroaches."-Annaisha

She went in her room in her parents house, from the window, and cleaned up before leaving, from the window again. She was absolutely exhausted but it was hard to find a time where she was not so Raidou had just shrugged it off and dragged her off to get some Ichiraku ramen. They ate while chatting about whatever was going on in their lives, and split up when it was time to go back home.

'I guess I should visit Orochimaru-sensei.'

She dropped by the yamanaka shop to get some flowers and went to Orochimaru's house. Sasuke had greeted her and she had casually nodded before ignoring his protest to go in Orochimaru's room. Honestly, she doubted anything would faze her at this point.

"Oh."-Annaisha

She blinked at the sight of the many snakes gathered around Orochimaru, seemingly mourning for him. They had their heads facing downwards and were not making a single sound. She wondered if she should come back later but seeing no response to her presence even when she had loudly opened the door, she guessed she was accepted to be in the room.

She also decided to quietly stand in the group of snakes seeing as she had no way to go through them, and Orochimaru seemed to be enjoying the silence.

After about an hour, he looked at her and she tried to not throw the flowers at his face. The man had the audacity to look so calm while she was standing there waiting for him and his snakes to finish their ritual for hours. And he hadn't even bothered to inform her of his 'sickness', as they all decided to call it, and made her switch teams like she was a playboy switching girls to have fun with every week. The man also had the audacity to not even send a letter, and involve poor Minato in his scheme.

She kept the flowers silently at his bedside table and stared at him, unblinkingly, for a minute before leaving.

"Oh dear, it looks like I've made her quite mad."-Orochimaru

Sasuke looked at him with an expression that could only be read as, 'You think?'.

She stared at the lifeless body in front of her. The man, or woman she couldn't tell the difference with their face and body covered, was a kumo-nin coming to spy in the village. She had killed him easily, and gained the official title of chunin as the Hokage didn't feel the need to let her take the test. Or perhaps whoever was trying to stop her promotion failed.

She placed some flowers on the body and left. She knew that the body would only be left to rot, seeing how close it was to Konoha's borders, so it was the least she could do when she couldn't even bring herself to feel pity for the one she killed. The person probably had a family somewhere, if not then someone who cared about him. It was the least she could do when she knew that someday she might end up like that herself.

'Huh. I wonder when I got like that. I thought I was going to live and have a peaceful life.'

She closed her eyes slightly before sighing and checking on her temporary teammates.

She wanted this mission to be over already. They needed to get away from this place as soon as possible before reinforcements came. She couldn't handle deaths of more teammates.

"Let's go."-Annaisha

She turned and headed to the village, knowing they were following her.

"What's the rush?"

"I have many people and graves to visit."-Annaisha

9 graves. 2 boys to visit in the hospital. 1 small child waiting for her with two people she never wanted to see. And so many people to make sure she came back alive to.

"Things never go as planned in this wretched world."

She supposed he was right about that. All her plans had been reduced to dreams, not even goals.

"Another mission? Aren't you pushing yourself at this rate?"-Obito

She turned to face him and couldn't help but frown at the bandages on his arms and legs. He wasn't one to talk about taking on too many missions when he wasn't even seen in the village properly.

Sure, she might have been overworking herself but it wasn't as though she could refuse all the missions given to her. She had tried refusing missions but the Hokage would just call her in the next day and give her another one. She didn't get what he was on about, and perhaps it was her newly found ninja instinct which told her to find out what he wanted.

"You don't get to talk about taking on too many missions Obito."-Kakashi

"Like you are."-Obito and Annaisha
