She did not like Sasuke

A month had passed by and she had been assigned to a different squad. Apparently, due to some medical disturbances with Orochimaru, he wouldn't be on active duty for an uncertain amount of time. She didn't like it but she couldn't do anything about it so she accepted it.

Another week passed by and she had grown accustomed to her new team. She was sure that they would've died long ago if it weren't for her joining their team. Their jonin teacher did try to help out but she could tell he just wanted to be done with them soon. He knew that they were going to die early and didn't see the point of getting close to them. She guessed that she wasn't one to complain about that when she hadn't tried to get closer to them either.

Her teammates were like canon fodder. Nobody would care even if they died.

"C'mon Mori-san. We can't be lagging behind."-Haru

"Right."-Annaisha

She followed behind them and set up the traps required of them. They all knew this might have been the last mission they would have together. The mission was risky and exactly the same mission that many genin teams followed, only to never return. They were fine with it though.

The two boys knew that Mori would make it out alive and if even a single person would remember their useless lives then that was fine.

"You'll both live. I'll make sure of it."-Annaisha

They seemed empty words but Haru and Asahi both smiled at them nonetheless. They weren't close. In fact, they probably would've never bothered to talk to each other if it wasn't necessary to communicate in a mission. But they'd shared life threatening missions together. That was enough to make them sort of like buddies.

Time continued and so did their mission. They survived. Haru wouldn't be a ninja anymore but they survived. Asahi was traumatized and suffered through a head injury but they survived. And that was what they were, right? Partners in survival.

She met up with Kakashi on the way to her parents house.

"How you doing, Kashi-chan?"-Annaisha

He sighed, which sounded more like a groan of despair, at the nickname.

"I'm fine... Ana-chan."-Kakashi

She froze before blinking a couple of times and applauded him for making such a cute nickname. He once again groaned, or sighed she couldn't tell the difference anymore, at the fact that she liked the name instead of being angry over it like he was. Honestly, it was hard to tease Annaisha.

They talked for the longest amount of time ever since she became a ninja. Perhaps it was because she was in a good mood that day.

Genma joined them soon after and even though Kakashi didn't like him as much, they all seemed to have a pretty good day.

She did not flinch when Sasuke appeared out of nowhere, likely due to his rinnegan which he hid behind his hair. She looked him in the eyes just like she always did. She did not hide her chakra and let him feel the emotions she was feeling. She could tell it unnerved him to great lengths as he slightly frowned at her and from the way he was twitching. She did not punch him or did any other irrational acts but she did make it known that she did not trust him anymore.

She moved back when he moved forward. Her hand was always near her kunai pouch. Her posture was tense and ready for battle. And her chakra was flaring as though it was a war signal.

Sasuke moved back and tried to make himself appear as non-threatening as possible. He probably should've explained the situation to at least her, or perhaps not be as rash as he was during that time. He wondered just how much of an idiot he was to think that she would trust him after that. She wasn't stupid, or madly in love, like Naruto or Sakura. She was-

"Are you just going to stand there?"-Annaisha

He shouldn't have been surprised that she would say something like that. She was one to invite unknown shinobi in her safe place and offer them tea after all. He would know that better than anyone, he and Orochimaru had been invited in her library like that a lot of times.

He slightly sighed and told her that a traitor within the leaf had placed a seal on Orochimaru and he had been busy with that for over a month. She frowns but doesn't question him much, likely knowing that he doesn't want to talk about it. Or perhaps she thinks to get it over with as soon as possible because he looks like he hasn't slept in years. He wonders for a moment just how bad he looks for her to be constantly frowning at his face.

"I see. Tell him to get on his knees to apologize when he gets better then. And for you, I guess I'll stick Obito, Gai and Raidou to you for a couple of days."-Annaisha

She was still pissed off at them. But she missed them so she forgave them easily.
