Fallen
Darkness and blood where the only things Sakura had seen since- how long had it been? She doesn't remember, doesn't care to.
As she used her arm to apply pressure to the deep gash in her side she felt the rest of her body either infected, broken or currently bleeding out. She hadn't enough chakra to heal them. Only using the tiny amount left to keep her alive at best.
Where had it all gone wrong?
It had started out as a normal mission; a C class that felt like a nice break from the past couple. They all talked and traveled with the few times stopping to either eat or sleep.
Naruto and Sai were constantly either arguing with just Naruto arguing and Sai only adding a few comment. Naruto still lost. Or they were keeping conversation.
Sakura had been checking on their supplies and humming a sweet toon, and Kakashi was jumping from tree to tree reading that perverted book of his.
It was nice, until it wasn't. They had soon realized it was an ambush. Turns out that it wasn't a C class deja Vu and the only reason it was there was to try and kill one of the best teams in the hidden leaf.
They ended up trapping them in a 'never ending' maze filled with monsters that could kill you in one single slash. They stayed there around ten days until they had found an actual exit. They had a plan, a good one too. It just required someone as bait. Or as you would have guessed it; Sakura.
They told it was fine, that they would get up there and grab her before the exit closed. And they did get up there: she watched. She also watched as at the first sign of the exit collapsing they hightailed it out of there. Not even trying to save her.
She should've guessed.
Even if no one had outwardly said it, it was still the truth. To them she was the most expendable link. It didn't matter whether she had grown up with them or saved their lives on multiple occasions. Nope. None of that mattered. At least not anymore.
After about another hour of traveling she could feel her chakra slipping away by the second. She couldn't go on much longer. Didn't want to, shouldn't have had to.
Hearing the screech of yet another flock of bat-like monsters she had sighed. She couldn't do this forever. She hadn't even turned 16 yet, was this how she was going to end it?
That was the plan until she came across a seemingly bottomless pit. Big enough for a person to fall through. This was in her mind a much better idea.
Slipping off her Hitai-ate she threw a small pebble to see if it really was bottomless. Falling eternally felt nice.
Slowly stepping back until her feet reached the edge she tilted her head up. After a minute of still not being able to hear the point of impact, she struggled.
"Fuck it."
And then she fell.
"Master Orochimaru sir." The grey haired male messaged as he started walking out of the cave system.
"What is it you have to report, Kabuto"
"Looks like you plan worked master, just as you predicted."
"As so our special cherry blossom is within your premise?" The cunning snake smiled as it showed through his voice.
"You could say she fallen into my grasp, sir. We're on our way back." With a final end sentence he disconnected his channel as he smugly smirked at the though faintly, breathing girl.
This would be fun indeed. He couldn't wait to show everyone. Especially him.
