This was weird.

Not a cool this is happening weird; just a why is this happening weird. For all she knew she was supposed to be dead. She had made sure that fall killed her.

But alas, here she was. Alone in a sort of comatose state and oddly comfortable. Was death meant to be this comfortable? It almost felt like she was laying in a. . .

bed.

MOTHERFUCKER-

Shooing up from the so-called bed Sakura tried to look around before groaning with the sudden shock of pain coming from her side.

Pulling her hand to apply pressure she noticed. . . bandages? Where was she? Who had saved her? Looking around she noticed the vast amount of medical equipment. Recognizing most objects. Whoever saved her knew what they were doing.

Suddenly she felt a chakra presence around the area.

Get closer,

And closer.

Anxiety now spiked and her senses on high alert she swifty jumped off the bed grabbing a scalpel nearby. It wasn't the best option but it was what was closest. Using the bed as a cover she waited, counting steps Like a hunter stalking unsuspecting prey. Waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Suddenly in a flash with a kick to the lower back, it's arms behind it's back and a scalpel to a vein on it's neck she held it, or should she say him.

It was nearly three years ago but it didn't matter, she could recognize that greasy grey hair anywhere.

Orochimaru's bitch and right hand man; Kabuto. She should've guessed. He was one of the few people she knew that was this well versed in medical ninjutsu.

" I was wrong to underestimate you, my dear Sakura." A voice. Not Kabuto's no it was too annoying to be. God damnit

"What business do you have Orochimaru?" Sakura asked trying not to have her voice waver. She added more pressure on the scalpel, Kabuto quivered. Weird, kinda funny.

"Is that anyway to say thank you to the person who gave the order to save your life? I don't think so." His voice became serious. "No if you would be so kind to let my ward go and to continue to heal your wounds. Your limbs are aching if I'm not mistaken."

He was right, crap. Her limbs were screaming and as much as she wanted to kill the guy she had at her mercy. She wasn't stupid enough to give Orochimaru a opening.

Reluctantly she steps away from the grey haired medic, hand still clutching the makeshift weapon as if it were a lifeline.

"Good choice my dear, now why don't we take this somewhere more. . .civil? We have much to discuss." He smiled as the question felt more like a demand.

Stopping to think which Orochimaru uncharacteristically let happen Sakura gave way to let her thoughts battle on what to do. Going through all possible outcomes. Best case: he wants something for her in a deal. Worst case scenario: He wants to either kill her or use her for a torturous human experiment.

Sighing before shrugging her shoulders she gave a reluctant nod much to Kabuto's surprise and Orochimaru's delight. Well either way she could twist it to her liking in one way or another.

Safe to say Orochimaru's hideout was exactly how she imagined it. Creepy and oddly cool. A tad bit cleaner at least this area was. She continued to follow after him in a sandwich between him and kabuto behind her.

Her opinions came to a halt as Orochimaru's steps did. Apparently they were here, whenever they were.

Kabuto led Sakura to a cushion on the floor beside a low table sitting as the snake took the other side as tea suddenly appeared. He was a sannin so it didn't really surprise her when he pulled a odd jitsu on her.

Eyeing the tea her inner decided 'fuck it' and took a drink. Well he didn't poison her. A little disappointing.

The pale male seemed to read her mind and chuckled in a on character creepy way before clearing his throat.

"Now let's get started."
