Part of the Pack

Sai was freaking out, he had just left for the village. Away from the beautiful safety of their small cabin and comfort of their beautiful field. And also he might have just gotten lost, the trail Kakashi told him about he was no longer on. He didn't know how or when he strayed from it but he had and now he was scared.

He kept looking around him panicked. He even started running forward at some point, he ran until he got too tired and collapsed.

He thought what would kakashi do in that
moment, he thought back to the lessons, to the conversation, anything he could and he came to one conclusion.

His book

Sai pulled out his sketch book and drew crows, 5 of them. Then he drew some dogs similar to Kakashi's puppies (don't tell them he called them that.

"Kai!" the birds flung off thr page into the air immediately goings hight up and looking around for the village, while the dogs were sniffing around and leading.

Soon enough with this tactic he managed to find the village after a long long walk.

The village was very busy and greatly overwhelmed Sai. He also didn't know how  to go about asking for chores and to be paid, he was very thankful when a nice old woman called him over. "are you hear to help like that nice masked young man?" he nodded in reply. And she smiled softly at him.

She had him help do some errands and even told other that he was their to help, he ended up doing lots of boring chores that people were simply to lazy or weak to do.

He didn't mind really, he understood why kakashi did these things, it's easy and it's nice helping people currently he was delivering a few letters to people.

Sai started speeding up as he saw the place the one letter was to be delivered to, looking down for just a moment before crashing into someone.

Sasuke sat staring at the door waiting for Sai to come home, next to him stood Sakura.

"Sasuke you cant just sit there and wait for him" she sighed.

Naruto was currently keeping Kaguya preoccupied, playing games, drawing, whatever she wanted to do truly.

"I can and will" sasuke crossed his arms over his chest, he wouldn't admit it but he was worried, Sai was taking longer then kakashi ever took and kakashi still wasn't home yet.

Sakura hugged and sat next to him pulling out a scroll and started practicing chakra control.

Sasuke gave her a weird look to which she responded "well I'm not letting you sit her alone, and I'm not sitting here being bored"

He rolled his eyes at her "I know your worried" Sakura said without looking at him "we all are, you done have to hold it all in"

"What if he doesn't come back? What if kakashi doesn't come back?" He mumbled what ifs.

Sakura looked up at him "it'll be fine, they'll come back. I know they will, they have to"

"Now come on" she put the scroll away and stood up "we have to make food"

Sasuke stood up and followed her to the kitchen.

Kakashi jumped from tree to tree, he was almost home, they were finally safe.

He felt awful for leaving them alone for so long , he knows they must've been scared and worried.

He hoped they'd understand and forgive him, he didn't even say goodbye to Sakura or kaguya.

Kaguya was only a toddler, what if being away made her not remember him, what if she didn't like him anymore.

He brushed those thoughts off.

But those thoughts also brought other worries, were those Senjus he led to the Uchiha important? Would their deaths have a big impact on the future?

Would their deaths lead to them finding kakashi and his pups? Would they think he was a kidnapper who stole an Uchiha and Uzumaki? If so he would definitely be tortured and killed, would they be okay if that happened? They rely on him completely, would they survive on their own.

Would they be forced into war and to fight each other? Kakashi could - no wouldn't let that happen, they wouldn't live through another war. They barely survived the last

He jumped to the soft grassy ground, running forward, just a mile to go and he'd be home with the pups-kids.

When he finally got to the field he couldn't help but smile, pulling down his mask revealing his face.

Before he could knock on the door Naruto came rushing out throwing himself onto kakashi practically sobbing, then out came Sakura and Sasuke.

Kaguya stood in the door way crying her eyes out calling out to him. He lifted them all into a hug and reached for her, which she gladly curled up in his chest.

He noticed that Sai was missing and questioned it.

Through all the tears he eventually got his answers, he sighed clearly not happy with his timing, if only he had been faster, Sai would've had to go to the village.

He cursed himself silently, carrying the crying children into the house to sit them down. He focused on calming them down and promised he'd go get Sai and that everything would be okay.

He quickly got them all feed as they hadn't eaten yet and got them all comfortable and fed.

"I'll go find Sai now, okay?" This caused many protests "what if you don't come back?" "You just came back" and others.

Again he calmed them and swore that he and sai would come back. Once that was done, kakashi quickly showered and changed his close, he felt gross after being out and not bathing for so long.

He started his journey to the village
