Chapter 3
Chapter 3
As soon as I'm done going over everything I make my way out of the cave just in time to catch one last glimpse of Alduin flying off into the distance before turning and just taking in the vast expanse of wilderness in front of me and while Skyrim the game looked really good especially with mods I don't think anything could quite do what I'm seeing now any justice. As much as I'd like to stand here and take it in for a while there are a few things I need to take care of the first thing I want to do is try out my gacha tokens.
Currency Exchange Box Added
Any currency can be placed inside this magic box will be changed into
any other mundane currency the user desires at a equivocal rate
Malenia blade of Miquella boss key added
Ring of water breathing added
No! Hell no I'm not going anywhere near that boss fight until I'm sure I can crush it, that boss has already caused me enough grief, I do however immediately equip the ring you never know when something like that will come in handy, the box is interesting but not really useful right now.
Whenever I start a new Skyrim playthrough there is a basic route I like to follow in the beginning so I think I'll start that. The first stop is a small unnamed band camp that should be very close, I make my way through the forest until I come up on a ridge overlooking the camp and I start sneaking, I see three bandits going about their business and I pull out my bow and take a shot at a bandit chopping wood which strikes him in the back killing him sneak attack damage then I summon three spirit wolves at the bottom of the ridge, the other two bandits turn and see me and then promptly start to panic as they are set upon by three spectral wolves one of them pulls out a bow but is too late as two wolves lunge at him knocking him to the ground as they start to maul him, the other bandit has a sword and shield and he fairs a bit better killing the wolf that goes for him then he starts fending off the other two but he starts to get back towards the ridge when I start shooting a (Ray of Frost) at him, the damage distracts him just long enough for the wolves to drag him down and before long he is dead.
I take all the bandits weapons, armor and gold and I also grab the black mage robe before I find what I actually came here for "Night falls on Sentinel" along with a treasure map now I don't know if skill books are going to work but I guess I'll give it a try, first I do what I would normally do whenever I get a skill book and I just open to the first page when a skill doesn't appear I'm mildly annoyed so just to be sure I take a seat on a nearby stump and actually skim through the whole thing before I get a notice from the game telling me that a new proficiency has been added.
New Proficiency Added (One Handed Weapon Mastery) Level 2/100
Measures the users ability to fight with a weapon wielded in one hand
You do slightly more damage when wielding a weapon I one hand
Its interesting that it starts at level two so I guess skill books do have an effect, honestly I thought it would level swordsmanship but It created a new proficiency entirely I wonder if the stack because that would be insane. Anyways its about time for me to move on so I stand back up, put the book in my inventory and start heading to stop number two, the guardian stones which I reach without incident now that I'm standing in front of them I need to make a decision about what I want to specialize in, as I'm contemplating I realize something while thinking back on all the fights I've been in so far, why put myself at unnecessary risk when I could just summon some creatures to fight up close for me while I sit in the back and cast spells, besides this type of combat appeals to my lazy nature. So having made my choice I reach out and place my hand on the mage stone which starts glowing then I get a message from the game.
Perk Added, The Mage Stone
All magic related skills and proficiencies level faster
All magic is just a bit more effective
So it seems like I get the usual game bonus plus something extra which is nice but I feel like I've wasted enough time here so I equip the novice mage set and start making my way to my next destination which is Embershard mine another bandit hideout in need of clearing out on my way there a pair of wolves try attacking me but my summons and spells make short work of them, I collect their pelts and start walking up the little dirt path to the mine and I see one bandit posted outside when he sees me he pulls out an axe and tries to threaten me so naturally I cast (flash of light) and sic my wolves on him and walk into the mine as he's mauled to death. Once inside the mine I side step the frankly pathetic rockfall trap and by the time I make it to the next room my wolves catch up, I in front of me is a rope bridge hanging over some water with a raised drawbridge off to my left and a some stairs going down to my right, I start sneaking and onto the bridge I see two bandits talking to each other so I blast them both with a (firebolt) and send my wolves down the stairs after them while they're fighting I electrocute one with (sparks) and the wolves overwhelm the other one. After the fight I collect their loot and grab the pickaxe that's sitting down there before I come to another realization I want the iron ore and ingredients but I don't want to collect it myself so I make a new spell.
New Skill Created (Summon Unseen Servant) Level 1/100
The user summons a invisible servant made out of magic energy
the servant can only help you with mundane tasks and cannot fight
the servant's STR is equal to your INT/4, servant lasts for 8 hours or until dispelled
I immediately summon a servant and give it my pickaxe and order it to collect the ore and ingredients but not to go ahead of me and it sets off, laziness for the win anyway Its to get moving I order my wolves to wait where the drawbridge will come down while I go to grab the lever picking up another coin purse on my way so I pull the lever and the drawbridge comes down and two bandits start coming across to investigate when they are attacked by the wolves I left there between the three wolves and me spamming (ray of frost) from above the are quickly killed one of my wolves is killed but I just resummon it, loot their corpses and move on.
I sneak my way across the drawbridge and I know there is a bandit sitting around the corner so I run In cast (flash of light) which the bandit actually resists but it doesn't help as they are tron apart by summons as I loot him I get the key to their little vault but I decide to pick it instead to raise my proficiency I fumble with the lock for a bit but manage to get it open without much trouble where I get some gold some basic weapons and armor I also find a iron war axe with a fire enchant on it and two spell tomes which I use.
New Unique Skill Created (Clairvoyance)
The user creates a shimmering line the will lead you to your current quest objective
Only the caster can see the line
New Skill Created (Ice Spike) Level 1/100
The user creates and fires a sharp spike of ice
The spike does INT/2 cold damage and INT/2 Physical damage
Now that I've emptied the vault I start heading into the next chamber which is a wide open room with three bandits in it one is down below me working a forge another one is patrolling along another rope bridge and the last one is siting at a table of to the left of the bridge deciding that I want to try out my new spell I create a forth wolf so I can send two after the bandit at the forge and two after the siting bandit once the patrolling bandit with a bow I his him with a sneak attack (ice spike) and send out my wolves, the bandit at the forge is caught of guard and killed but the other bandit is able to stand up and start fighting with his war hammer while I take out the archer with two more ice spikes while dodging out of the way of his arrows and after my two other wolves join up with the others the last bandit is overwhelmed. The game informs me that I leveled up so I allocate my stats raising my INT to 25 and and my WIS to 19 and I get a new perk.
New Perk Added for 25 INT (Mana puddle)
your body has become attuned to mana
1 additional point of MP for every point of INT
Its not much but more MP is always useful, I dispel my wolves and summon two more unseen servants to gather all the resources in the mine while I go around looting unfortunately I don't mange to find anything special just some more potions and things to sell, after a while my unseen servants have piled up all the ore and ingredients in front of me which I promptly shove into my inventory then I activate my crafting menu and process all my ore and pelts into ingots and leather and then I engage in the time honored Skyrim tradition of crafting a shit load of iron daggers to raise my smithing.
Now that I've finished up hear its about time to move on to Riverwood so I make my way out of the cave and as I start heading in Riverwood's direction I have my unseen servants continue gathering alchemy ingredients as I go. After a short walk I'm standing in front of Riverwood and I realize that without Hadvar I won't be able to get the free gear from Alvor which is a little annoying but not that big of a deal the first thing I need to do is go to the trader to sell off all useless items I picked up and get the golden claw quest. as I open the door to the trader I hear Lucan and Camilla loudly arguing. Lucan himself doesn't interest me all that much but Camilla catches my eye immediately in the game she okay looking but now she is way sexier, flowing shoulder length black hair, smooth lightly tanned skin, cute C cup breasts, sorry Sven and Faendal but I'm going to have to steal her out from under you so I go ahead and use (observe) on them.

Thoughts about you: he hopes you will buy something
"well one of us has to do something!"
" I said no! No adventures no theatrics no thief chasing!"
"well what are you going to do then, huh? Lets hear it!
"We are done talking about this!"
At this point Lucan finally takes notice of me and apologizes to me for having to hear that, I stop looking at Camilla and turn to Lucan "did something happen."
"Yes, we did have a bit of a... break-in. But we still have plenty to sell. Robbers were only after one thing. An ornament, solid gold. In the shape of a dragon's claw."
"I could help you get the claw back."
"You could? I've got some coin coming in from my last shipment. It's yours if you bring my claw back. If you're going after those thieves, you should head to Bleak Falls Barrow, northeast of town."
"In that case consider those bandits taken care of, but first I need to trade with you." as I say this I bring out all the junk in my inventory which startles Lucan and Camilla as a pile of weapons, armor and gems just appeared in the middle of their shop "first I'd like to sell all this and then get a look at any spell tomes you have." It takes longer than I would like because unfortunately there was no shop menu but eventually we get every item tallied up and agree on a price and then I buy a few spell books. After every thing is said and done I only make about 200 gold in profit.

As I turn to leave Camilla start getting back into it with Lucan.
"So, this is your plan, Lucan?"
"Yes. So now you don't have to go, do you?"
Oh really? Well, I think your new helper here needs a guide."
"Wh...no...I...Oh, by the Eight, fine! But only to the edge of town!"
After that Camilla turns to me and gestures for me to follow her which I do, she begins leading me out of the store and starts telling me about the claw and bleak falls barrow but since I'm already intimately familiar with this quest I'm paying most of my attention on the way her ass sways as she walks, once we start making it out of town I get an idea and use skill creation.
New Skill Created (Arouse) Level 1/100
The user magically causes a target to become sexually aroused
the maximum level of arousal that can be caused is determined by
skill level and INT
Now that we are out of Riverwood she points out the barrow and starts explaining the rout to get there I hit her with (arouse), the effects are subtle but I definitely notice when she starts purposefully swaying her hips and peeking back to sneak glances at me. Once we get to the bridge she turns to me with a slight blush on her face.
"This is as far as I can take you unfortunately, I hope you are able to get the claw back and get back safely."
"Well if a women as beautiful asks me to I suppose I have no other choice." Just as I finish saying that I subtly cast (arouse) again and her blush intensifies and she stammers out some thanks for my compliment before rushing back off to Riverwood.

Alright it looks like I'm making some progress, with that taken care of the first thing I need to do is use my new spell books.

violent madness causing them to lash out at anyone nearby
Targets that fail to resist will attack anyone nearby for INT seconds

The user magically calls on mystical energy to heal and revitalize their body
The user recovers WIS/4 HP per second
New Skill Added (Flames) Level 1/100
The user shoots a spray of flame from their hand
does INT/5 fire damage per second
Now that I have my new spells I need to make my way to bleak falls barrow so I go across the bridge and start sneaking towards anise's cabin and as I get close I see the old witch sitting on her chair out front, now I usually kill her and loot her shack for the skill book but I need to check and see if she's dangerous first so I immediately cast (observe) on her.

Dexterity: 7

Thoughts about you: Hasn't noticed you
Well her INT and WIS are better than mine but her health is really low so it looks like that wont matter, I pull out my bow a tip one of my arrows with poison and take a shoot which almost kills her, she shakily gets to her feet and try to cast something but a quick (flash of light) followed by an (ice spike) finishes the job, I send a unseen servant to loot the shack while I unlock the trapdoor and grab the alchemy skill book that I came here for in the first place. the only thing of note that my servant brings back is a paralysis poison and some more ingredients. After everything is in my inventory I start heading up the winding path towards the bandit's first watch tower, once the tower is in sight I start sneaking up to it, two bandits are standing outside of the tower and I know there is at least one more inside so while I hidden I summon my spirit wolves and cast (fury) one one of the bandits and he immediately draws his sword and screaming and hacking at his buddy and the commotion draws the other bandit out of the tower but he doesn't know what is going on and is hesitating so I sneak up behind him and fry him with a (shocking grasp) then I order my wolves to finish off the two wounded bandits.
After looting the bandits and the tower I'm on my way to bleak falls barrow proper, I know that there are bandits waiting outside that I'll have to deal with there are two archers one to my right and up the stairs next to the entrance and one to my left surveying the area from a lookout post and there is also a patrolling bandit in between them. I sneak up the side towards the archer guarding the entrance then I cast (fury) on him and hide behind a nearby pillar and watch as the archer starts shooting the patrolling bandit below who pulls out a battle axe and stars charging up the stairs and by this point the other archer has also noticed what is going on so I decide to repeat my same strategy of sending my wolves to kill the two fighting bandits while I deal with the straggler, a (firebolt) and a (ice spike) later and all the bandits were taken care of, after some looting I'm standing before the massive door to bleak falls barrow and as about to go in there's only one thought that comes to mind.
"Ah shit here we go again."
