Chapter 13

Her overdue work had been transported to the hospital within the next 2 hours by her employees and the Uchiha who had remained with her for some time left as well.

"Get started on the trade with Suna. Contact some trust worthy transportation service dealers for the hiring of some automobiles to travel to Suna. Also, hire one more of the Uchiha who came looking for a job."

"The profits won't be enough for the automobile dealer."

Hisako looked over the profits once again before realizing that the profits which they were earning would certainly not be enough for the start of the trade with Suna. The opening of the trade would also be incur losses for a few months as well, especially considering how the trade between the land of wind and fire was almost non-existent. The only things being traded would be ninja weapons or medicines, most of which were used by shinobi.

"I'll take care of those costs for now. Make sure that when we go to purchase the products, at least one of our current employees is present to check on Suna and it's market."

She looked up to see Aimi's confused expression at her orders. With a slight sigh she explained that they may have to change their products to suit the market of Suna. Aimi brightened at that and nodded at her suggestion and Hisako frowned for a second while staring at the window before relaxing again.

Her plan to trade with Suna was fairly simple. For the first few months she would be bringing in the spices from Suna and transporting out the designed cloths which were unique to the Uchiha, for it was a style which was a mix between the land of fire and the land of grass. She would observe the sales and market in Suna for some time and also calculate the profit of the spices she would get from the selling of the Suna spices in Konoha and decide her future actions based on the final statistics.

"Miss, there has been some change in policy while you were... away. The Uchiha are basically seen as an open threat now."

Hisako clicked her tongue at that and asked Aimi to bring in the official public prints of the new policy to her next time. She could tell that talking of the dispute between the Uchiha and the village unnerved Aimi so there was no point to hear anything about such a thing from the weak minded girl.

The girl soon left Hisako and she sighed before leaning against her bed frame.

The window in her room warped slightly before revealing a raven curly haired teenager. They both stared at each other for a second before she pointed towards the chair beside her bed for him to sit on. He obliged and held her hand soon after. His fingers were closer to her wrists, most likely to feel her heartbeat and console himself that she was alive. He did so quite a lot of times, especially when he would come back from a mission.

"Do you know who did it?"

It was a useless question, they both knew. They already knew who was the culprit behind her kidnapping and why the job done was traced to a village elder, a former Konoha shinobi. He answered with a grim face that he did know who. A play started then, and she wondered how long they could pretend.

A thin layer of chakra layered the room.

"It would be risky to have him be punished."

"He did not want me dead."

It was a wonder why shinobi never thought that civilians could not learn tricks that they would often use. They always underestimated civilians. She supposed that it was good that they were so paranoid, for they would fall to their deaths by being tricked by civilians that they looked down on for being powerless.

"Fugaku-sama is calling in all of the Uchiha shinobi and ordering them to take more rounds around the compound."

"It was a plot to put chains on the Uchiha while you were gone."

"That isn't the worst choice."

The genjutsu faded with no trace of it ever being cast and she smiled at him once before his hand gave hers a slight squeeze. She wanted to go to home and relax but, it would not be a wise move she knew. She had to resolve this situation first before moving back in the Uchiha district. She needed to destroy this new 'policy', and shut down the fools who called themselves Uchiha clan elders before they commit some grave mistake that they will not be atone for even in death.

He left as quietly as he came, and she finished more of her paperwork silently.
