Chapter 11
'I had met with those two Suna traders in Shukuda town. Considering that they had kept me tied up for 3 days, while traveling, we're likely at one of the borders or crossed over to another land by now.'
She ignored the smell of burning corpses slowly filling in the base of the ninja and moved her aching legs to observe the place where they had been resting. She would have to leave this place within half an hour, considering how slow the fire was in engulfing the whole place with its flames.
She swore that she would bring down Danzo Shimura.
Sighing, she allowed herself to fall down on the floor as she read the documents in her hands. She had already taken as much money and valuables she could have on her and the contracts of the ninja were all that were left. She had been hoping to find something of importance within those documents. They did contain the contract of the ninja agreeing to kidnap her and sell her as a slave to some lord after they either dug her eyes out or make her blind through some other means.
'This is too sloppy.'
She had been sure that Danzo was the one behind her kidnapping. The only person who would do that to an Uchiha, who was meeting with Suna people, would be Danzo. The other clans or elders of the village had no reason to do such a thing to her and the other nations would have simply kidnapped her and used her as a baby making machine to get the sharingan. She might be considered a slightly powerful businesswoman in Konoha and the land of fire at best but, she was still a nobody to the other nations.
She had even considered the possibility of Orochimaru or Obito kidnapping her because she was an Uchiha or because of some other reason, but if they wanted to get rid of her then they wouldn't use such means. Orochimaru would also most certainly use her for his experiments so it would make no sense for him to use such tactics. And Obito could easily kill her as well.
The only person who could do such a thing, and who had people under him to make such a thing happen, was Danzo. But he was not one to do such a sloppy job. He was a meticulous and paranoid old man. She had seen how the Shimura clan worked quite closely and even though it infuriated her to admit, they always did things with incredible attention to detail and law.
She sighed and stuffed the papers in her obi. Looking at her lose Yukata and very dirty hair, she frowned in disgust. Sighing, she decided to care about her appearance after she had gotten somewhere safe.
Taking in another deep breath, she ran out the door.
She didn't look back at her captors residence. She simply ran until she saw a human civilian.
She was aware that she was going to be having a breakdown, both physically and mentally, as soon as she relaxed. She was almost afraid of it too. She didn't want anyone to see her in such a vulnerable state.
She came across a flourishing city, after following along a road.
She realized with incredible relief at that moment, that she was in Obihiro. She was still in the land of fire.
Obihiro was also closest to Konoha after Saikyo and Shukuba town.
Her dropped shoulders tensed again as she thought of how sloppy this kidnapping truly was. It was as though the criminal was simply trying to keep her away from the village, or something else of the sort. Her mind raced once again as she cancelled out her previous theories.
'What were those days of traveling then? Distracting pursuers perhaps?'
She remembered the movements of the Shimura clan buying property around the Uchiha clan. And she knew then what Danzo had been planning.
Suddenly, the image of a dying Shisui came to her mind.
And the world turned clearer than before.
It was on the 6th day that he had gotten some kind of clue to find Hisako.
The two traders from Suna, Ali and Aladdin, had found a woman who seemed to match the looks of Hisako in Obihiro.
