Escape

5 days had passed.

Itachi was slowly preparing himself for the worst possible scenario. Shisui was too focused on finding Hisako and all of his duties to his clan or village had been left aside. He was alone now.

He would have to kill the clan.

He will kill his clan.

His resolve was steeled and he closed his eyes to bask in the sunlight once before his hands would forever be dyed in the blood of his clansmen. His family.

Looking towards the sounds of the echoing footsteps, he was not surprised to find his father staring at him. The eye contact they held burdened him even more. There was a certain fondness and pride in his father's eyes which he hadn't seen before. Perhaps he had been too blind to see the love his family had for him.

He slowly blinked as he watched his father nod at him once before walking past him. Suddenly, he could only see a walking dead man.

"The mission will be completed."

His voice was soft and firm as always as he walked in the direction of his father. He ignored the rustle of the trees and walked straight. His steps felt heavy even though the date of his mission was certainly not soon.

Hisako was kidnapped by Danzo Shimura.

His move was not at all obvious as he had one of his men hire the ninja who had kidnapped her when she had been discussing the trade of her products with some of Suna's traders. It was a move which would accomplish the two things he had always wanted. Suna and Konoha's farce of an alliance would be strained and Shisui would also crumble.

She had long noticed Shisui's interest in the Uchiha and the village's trade and merchants developing better relations to promote friendship when she had discussed her own business with him. She had even agreed for him to use her and her business for that purpose as well. He, and Mikoto, had successfully gotten a few Uchiha to develop their shops outside the clan walls under Hisako's own business. It had benefitted her greatly as well.

With her connections to the Inuzuka, the strained relationship between the Uchiha and the village had become slightly better.

'Fools.'

She looked down at the dead ninja at her feet before turning her sharingan off. Even if she was not a ninja, they had still heavily underestimated her. She was still an Uchiha with eyes that could easily kill. And she had years of practice of using her sharingan. Although, she supposed, with this level of intelligence of her captors she could escape even without her sharingan.

Massaging her wrists, she took in a deep breath before she armed herself with their weapons. She had only killed 2 of her kidnappers right now. According to her calculations, there should be at least 3 more. She bandaged her bleeding arm before cutting off her hair and burning it in the fire of the burning bodies. Her long hair was becoming a hassle.

The two men had brought in torches with them to lighten up her prison which had led to their down fall.

She quietly waited until she heard the footsteps of the others coming down the stairs. Their footsteps had suddenly disappeared when they had climbed down 4 steps and she activated her sharingan once more. The instant enhanced vision allowed her to see the shadows just outside the room and she grabbed one of the burning bodies, ignoring the second degree burns she would most certainly get, and threw it at the door.

She had conveniently hidden most of her lower body behind the other burning body. The Uchiha had a natural resistance to fire and she was very grateful for it now. She was sweating quite a lot because of the heat but, she knew that most civilians would have got first degree burns from being so close to the fire.

She almost let out a laugh at the scream of one of the ninja, from the burning body she threw, before she wrapped a moist cloth around her nose. The smoke had already started to fill the area, and considering how the ninja here were getting beaten by a civilian she could safely assume that they were likely at the levels of genin or chunin, they would also feel the suffocation from the gas. She quickly pulled out, what she assumed to be, a flash bomb in her hands and threw the other burning body towards the door when she noticed the footsteps coming in.

She had hoped that, that would have been enough to finish things.

Gulping, she tried her best to remember what Shisui had taught her. She should be able to use the flash bomb if she could use her chakra.

Ignoring the screams, she ran straight towards the door and jumped over the fallen bodies, the flash bomb in her left hand activating and the kunai in her other hand already aiming for the enemy's head.

She was glad that she had chosen to not be a ninja.
