The Meet Up
It is a bright sunny day just how Kara likes it. Her start of the day could not have been better. Waking up by the chirping of the birds, light sunrise coming from the curtains on her face, all of this feels surreal. Kara open her eyes with a smile on her face. "Good morning to a brand new day". She gets up and make a cup of coffee for herself and starts with her daily morning routine. "Yes! I am ready on time. Humm i still have time for breakfast with Alex and Winn. Let me message them."
Kara: Guys! Are you up for breakfast?
Alex: Always
Winn: pancakes, pancakes!!!
Kara: meet you guys at devil's cage in 15 mins.
Alex: on my way
Winn: Already there 😏
Kara thinks,"winn is not of this world. Well she is still a delight to be around."
At Devil's Cage
As soon as kara enters the cafe she saw alex and winn already sitting at the table near the window. "Hey guys, you guys are really fast." Alex said, "nah, it is you who is slow." Winn laughs loudly.
Kara says,"Anyway, have you guys ordered?".
Both alex and winn say " ofcourse, we have ordered our usual". Just then kara’s phone rings. So she goes out of the cafe to take her call. Just as Kara as entering the cafe again after finishing her call, she collided with someone leaving the cafe.
For Lena, it is her usual morning day. She gets up from her bed, gets ready and starting preparing for her office meetings. She leaves for her office in her porsche. On her way she stops at her favourite cafe Devil's cage to get her daily dose of caffeine. Lena, " lets see what i wanna try today". After taking her coffee for to go she gets out of the cafe but before she could reach her car, someone roughly collided with her. She closes her eyes and prepare herself for the impact but it never came as a strong pair of arms grab her by her waist. Upon opening her eyes she saw the most beautiful pair of baby blue eyes looking at her in awe.
Upon catching Lena from falling, Kara was trapped in Lena's beauty and then suddenly by the horns on road she came back to her senses and said, "Oh My God, i am so sorry, I didn't see you there, oh god, are you okay? Are you hurt?"
Lena too came out of the trance and suddenly become aware of her very wet blouse and upon this anger started filling her, " No! I am not okay, i am so opposite of ok, you ruined my blouse and burned me. And now i am late for my meeting too. Just fucking great".
kara, " i am really sorry, i will dry cleaned your blouse and will also drop you at your meeting". Though Kara knew that if this lady accepted her offer then she herself will get late for her own very important meeting but after the stunt she pulled this is the lest she could do for this lady.
Lena angrily siad, " No thanks, you have already done enough. Just look where you are going, so people won't get hurt."
Kara was dying in guilt. "Please, let me help you. Here take my card, send me the dry clean bill, it is the lest I could do for you." Lena threw Kara's card on her face and said, " money is not the solution for everything, you brat".
Kara was speechless. She was just trying to help but this lady was crossing her lines. Before Kara could reply alex and winn shouted for her and she turned to face them and told she will be back in 5mins. Kara turned to look at the lady who was no where to be found. " Where the hell did she go?"
Lena had already left for her office, she called her friend Sam who is also her CFO to inform her that she is running late. "Hello Sam, you have to start the meeting without me, i am running a little late. Some wierdo brat spill coffee on me and also get my spare blouse ready for the meeting. Sam." Ok lee, don't worry i will handle everything and meeting with Danvers firm is in an hour."
Upon entering the café kara narrated the entire event to both her friends. Both friends started laughing their asses off. Both said," why such things always happen with you only kara". Kara just sigh and said " lets just have breakfast we have a important meeting to attend,"
when the three friends reached the L Corp for their meeting, they were send to the conference room where both the CEO and the CFO were waiting for the MD of DanversFirm and their associates.
As soon as the gate of the conference room opend. Two pair of eyes, jade green met with the baby blue.
Lena "what the HELL are YOU doing here, you bloody stalker"
Kara sighs "oh my luck, its you".
