Naruto wasn't sure what happened. Mei was cooking food and debating something with riri. He was swinging his legs playing with baby, Mei's cat. Then the screams started.
The rest of the memory is blood soaked and the only sound he could hear where screams. Mei picked him up and they ran away from the campsite. Then a beasts no a demon like him. It found them and mei started to fight.
She yelled for him to run and then. He was here. Face down in the forest. “damnit. “ he repeated this word getting up head reeling. He ended up falling back down dizzy and disorentated.
How long had it been who lived? Who attacked them? Why? A clan of bandits. A act of god? A village finally got sick of them and tried to whipe them out? Naruto huffed rolling over onto his back.
Getting on his forearms and knee’s he started puking. Vomiting on the ground naruto remembered they where right outside suna when they where attacked. And now. He was in a forest.
God damn how long had he ran for? Did the voice help. The voice hated naruto and naruto tolerated the voice but naruto could tell it didn't want to die as much as him. Finishing puking he managed to crawl slightly.
Blinking his eyelids felt heavy and weighted down. “Sun please.” he begs. “Give me help please.” collapsing in the forest he heard feet. Something was whispered “what is this?”
Naruto smiled at the voice. It sounded nice and warm. Someone picked him up. “Naruto.” was whispered. Responding to the voice he leaned into the person chest. He thinks he heard a choked off sob but that didnt matter as he fell asleep.
Waking up later he was confused and slightly stunned. “Where? Where am i?” he whispered, getting up. He looked around the room. It looked barren and gray.
“Sun, where have you taken me?” he asked.
He was wearing a baggy gray shirt that reached his knees, whoever took him here changed his clothes. Naruto sighed , at least he still had his underwear on.
Naruto noticed the door and walked towards it. Opening it slowly he saw a white haired man. Quickly going behind the door and suppressing his chakra he watched the man. He was just eating ramen sitting on the kitchen counter.
“Are you going to stop watching me or are you going to eat?” the man asked. Naruto startled stepping back. “Its ramen. I hope you like it its the only thing i can really cook.”
Naruto narrowed his eyes, stepping forward. “Who are you?’ “I'm Kakashi hatake. I was your fathers student.” “you were the hokages student.” naruto said not believing him.
“Yup.” Kakashi responded without questioning how he knew that. Naruto walked through the kitchen and saw a second cup of ramen sitting by kakashi.
“What type of ramen is it?” he asked. “Chicken. You like that?” Naruto slowly nodded.
He picked it up sitting on the floor eating it. “How old are you?” Kakashi asked, “I'm thirteen.” Naruto said. Kakashi nodded “twenty three,” “were ten years apart!” Naruto said happily.
Kakashi smiled at him. Or Naruto was pretty sure he made his eyes look like he smiled. Either way Naruto felt happy.
“so. '' Kakashi said, setting down his ramen ``why were you in the woods all alone?”he asked. Naruto stopped chewing looking up at kakashi.
Swallowing, he decided to come up with the truth “i was attacked by rouge demons. I think most of my family is dead.” Kakashi looked at him with pity in his eyes.
“Your family is here in the leaf village naruto.” Naruto shook his head “no. My family is in the tribe. There is my family.” he insisted.
“This village was a prison,” he said bitterly. Kakashi sighed “you can feel that way if you want but. You're going to have to live here for the time being. Sense we don't know where your tribe is.”
“What!” Naruto shouted, throwing his ramen to the side. “What the hello do you mean by that!?” “We think your tribe is dead and you're a minor. We can't afford to let you live on your own.”
“Since when does the hidden leaf care about orphan children?” naruto spat out.
Kakashi sighed “rude but fair. But no matter what you have to stay here. Now you choose who you want to be with me or my friend iruka. I would place you with some of my others but there. Not the best with children.”
Naruto glared at him “I choose neither.” then rushed out the door. He refused to stay in this hell of a village.
