Day 2
DAY 2 February 14th, seal theory / instruction / famous jutsu
He was late from getting back, especially with the impromptu rescue mission he stumbled upon. But now his clan was to have a hopeful ally in the Hyuga who had access to rare medicinal herbs that they needed for the coming months. Sicknesses were easy to catch in the winter and he was hoping a treaty and a trade route between the clans could be established by then. The Clan Head is wary of Senju Butsuma, but are willing to send whatever was needed if Tobirama asked. He had saved their heiress and 6 clansmen from a bloody death if he had not intervened. He was just hoping tou-san would see the benefits before he beat Tobirama for his lateness this time.
But seeing as he was most likely to be beaten no matter what (because reasonable was something Butsuma Senju was not), he decided he could practice forming his latest experimental jutsu; a full dragon made of water. But this one would be huge.
He wanted it to be his signature jutsu, hopefully making him even more feared across the lands so he could protect the last two of his precious people. It took a few tries, many splashes in his face, and mumbled curses he probably shouldn't know… but he finally formed it for a moment, and he smiled. He had been trying for months and months, hours upon hours spent channeling his suiton into different shapes. He'd only been able to show Itama a very small one to reassure him right before his first, only, and last mission.
Itama made him promise that he would never stop inventing new things, even if Hashi nii-san said not to, because 'Hashi nii-san doesn't like fighting, but we must find a way to live until he can have his peace. Right Aniki?' So he wouldn't stop, he'd never stop.
He would just not tell Hashirama until after it was done.
He held it for a few moments, letting it twist and swirl around him until he heard a gasp from behind him. Damn it. I wasn't kneading into my senses. Rookie mistake. I could have been killed! He turned quickly to assess the enemy when he saw a young boy, maybe Hashirama's age or older, on the other side of the river than he himself started on.
The boy's eyes gleamed red and immediately Tobirama forced his dragon at him, the boy cursing as it fell into a mist on him, and then Tobirama bolted. He quickly grabbed the scroll he put his armor in and ran.
Child or not, an Uchiha was an Uchiha and he was not armored enough to even risk a fight with any. Let alone fight one older than him. He may be a fighting prodigy, as everyone tells him, but he was also practical and knew his chances would be slim otherwise.
Once home, he found Touka stubbornly yelling with Hashirama out in the gardens and was very confused when Hashirama screamed at her for being a… traitor? What? No one else was in the house, presumably at a meeting of some sort. Hashirama was yelling at her to go away and never come back and Touka was calling him a trusting idiot. What happened while I was gone?!
He knew her anger and that it was not a time to touch her, that it would not help her calm down. So he pulsed his chakra at her, she's not a sensor but had always felt it when he did it in the past. She looked at him and opened her mouth but he put a finger to his lips and beckoned her to follow. He knew he would need both sides of what happened and no way was he getting through to Hashirama when his older brother was this mad.
