man with black hair and brown eyes, his face had a scar and his clothes would be those common of those with little money, grey damaged shirt and with damaged black shorts, (we will be referring to him for simplicity sake as the first bandit). He held a sheaved katana in his left hand. He had two 'friends' or more specifically accomplices, one had brown hair with green eyes wear similar clothes to the first man, (referred to now as the second bandit) except this one only had two knives, the final friend had black hair but he had green eyes, wielding a bat(he will be called the third bandit).
They were meeting in a clearing in the forest.
"So we gonna rob it?" asked the first, speaking about a caravan that was said to come down the path to Konoha.
"Of course," said the second.
"So when do we?" asked the Third.
"When it gets here, idiot," said the First but suddenly he felt something rap around his leg, pulling him into the ground face first. Suddenly it pulled him into the dense forest as he let out a scream.
"What the hell just happened?" asked the Third, terrified but he suddenly fell over, lying on the ground, his face in the dirt.
"Come on, man, get up," said the second staring at the third, as a red liquid dripped out from the body.
"Whose doing this? What the hell is happening?" asked the final bandit as he suddenly dropped the knives, put his hands up to his neck, as blood came out, he fell over dead.
Naruto jumped down and sighed, this was his 4 bandit elimination mission in 2 weeks, they were always close to Konoha and taught him a valuable lesson, he had to kill to survive. One would think that just doing bandit elimination missions would be counter productive but Naruto didn't need all of his chakra so he had clones learning some techniques.
The techniques his clones had learned fire release: great fireball technique, fire release: phoenix sage fire technique, water release: wild water wave, water release: water formation wall and finally water release: water dragon bullet technique.
Overall now he knew 3 wind release techniques, 3 fire release techniques, 2 earth release techniques, a forbidden technique and two low ranking techniques which are being used at a high level.
The Commander had ordered Naruto to take these missions to help him get used to the idea of killing, or at least as used to killing as you can get.
-Flashback-
"Naruto, killing may seem unfair or horrible but it is a necessity, you have to kill to survive, you may think that it is horrible but that is the point, killing is not fun but is necessary, Anbu have to kill to better the village, it may not always think like that but that is a part of what makes being a shinobi so hard, we serve the darkness so others can live in the light," explained the Commander.
-Flashback end-
Naruto shunshined away after looking around at the corpses for a second before disappearing in smoke. When he arrived back at the village, he was given the rest of the week off because of how much work he was doing, Naruto had been overworking himself, learning new techniques, training whenever he could and doing missions at the same time.
Team Ro was proud of their young teammate's work ethic but no-one should be overworking themselves this much that even the other Anbu teams who Naruto hadn't worked with had noticed this. Tenzo had decided to go to the Commander with this.
-Flashback-
"Looks like he got his father's work ethic," said the Commander.
"What was his work ethic like?" asked Tenzo.
"His father had a large sense of duty which showed itself in his work, if not for his wife, the man would have overworked himself into the ground," explained the Commander.
"So what will we do?" asked Tenzo.
"Simple, we give Naruto a few days off and introduce him to someone who had the same problem," said the Commander, although this wasn't the real reason. He wanted to control the reaction of this 'someone' as it would be easier to deal with it now, rather than later.
-Flash back end-
'Sempai called me to the training field, maybe he's got something for me to do,' thought Naruto as he arrived at the training field to find his captain talking to a jounin. This jounin had silver hair and was wearing a mask.
"So Tenzo, when do I meet your kohai?" asked Kakashi, he had his hands in his pocket and Tenzo spotted Naruto walking towards them.
"Right now, meet Naruto Uzumaki," answered the Anbu Captain as Kakashi's eyes widened.
"I-i-is this a joke?" asked Kakashi as Tenzo shook his head.
"If it was, I wouldn't know," said Naruto.
"Who placed him into Anbu?" asked Kakashi as his eyes narrowed, dangerously.
"The Anbu Commander and Hokage," said Tenzo as Kakashi disappeared in smoke.
"I guess that was everything, Naruto, you may go," said the wood release user as Naruto disappeared in smoke.
-With Kakashi-
"Lord Hokage, what the hell were you thinking?!" asked Kakashi.
"I was thinking quite a few things, don't forget your place," said Sarutobi.
"Apologies sir, but you placed the dead last loud mouth of the academy into Anbu Black ops, the darkest division in the village," said Kakashi.
"I would have had him leave by now but his development has been amazing, in 2 months and 2 weeks, he has gotten to high chunin level, has become more mature, and has learnt several high ranking techniques, I have compared his development to the reports on Team 7's progress and well results bring results," explained the Hokage.
"But I was supposed to teach him," whined the young Hatake but Lord Hokage had started getting serious.
"Don't play that card with me, why didn't you help him in Academy? Or when he needed comfort?" asked the Lord Hokage. Kakashi looked down, his shame wearing down on him.
"I-i'm sorry," said Kakashi quietly.
"Don't apologies to me, you still have time, Kakashi," said the Hokage.
"Time to do what?" asked Kakashi.
"Naruto, has picked up 3 techniques, of wind, fire and water, he has 2 earth release techniques and no lightning, maybe teach him the earth-style wall and some lightning techniques," suggested Sarutobi, to which Kakashi nodded.
