Chapter 2
The two women did not stop texting and talking. Whenever Vi is working she always makes sure to have her phone with her, the notification sounds turned up to the top, so that if she gets a text from Caitlyn she would be able to answer it right away and that was something that annoys Sevika a lot but who cares. Whenever she is at home she is always on her phone either texting the blue haired woman or is on a call with her. It didn't take a long time for the two women to find out that they preferred calling each other, rather than texting. Vi absolutely loves to listen to Caitlyn talk and the blue haired woman also says the same about her. Vi doesn't think that she has even smiled, laughed and giggled that much in her whole life and this change is not left ignored by Jinx judging by how the amount of teasing about the british woman has tripled.
The two women understand each other and it's rare for them to have big differences in their opinions about anything. They share the same humor, even if Caitlyn's a little bit more dry, she always tries to match Vi's energy. They both listen to each other tenderly and show interest in what the other has to say, even if it's about something that they don't have much knowledge about. Vi talks about boxing, about her sister, about the video games she plays and new books she reads (that are not in Caitlyn's preferred genre) and even if Caitlyn didn't even know how to properly throw a punch she listens and engages with the redhead actively. Cait talks about her job, the new movies and series she watches and her thoughts of them and Vi listens closely. Even if she knows a lot of stuff about the blue haired woman she never has that much close access to Caitlyn's interests. And the whole process of 'getting to know each other' has made Vi feel like they have known each other for ages by how fast they started being comfortable with each other. Vi can confidently say that she has never felt this seen before in her life. It's like they are made for each other. Like they are two pieces of puzzle that fit each other perfectly.
A week later and they organise their second date. The two women finally have a whole free day and were able to organise going to the cinema and after that to go bowling. Judging by how things went on their first date and how much and how long they can talk to each other without getting tired or having awkward silences they both agreed that it would be the best if they have this date on a free day because the chances of them staying with each other to chat after bowling were almost promised. And the chances of them talking for hours and not getting bored are even higher.
When Vi gets to the cimena she sees Caitlyn already there, yet again looking breathtakingly beautiful. Her outfit is really casual, just simple wide leg jeans that were light grey, a black tshirt and a small black handbag. 'She's so cute' thinks Vi to herself. The other woman still hasn't noticed her as she is too busy looking at the screen of her phone.
Vi slowly makes her way towards Caitlyn, trying to be as quiet as possible. Thankfully the other woman is way too distracted to notice the redhead getting close to her. And just as her hand is about to grab Caitlyn's shoulder and scare her, the blue haired woman suddenly turns around and grabs Vi arm, holding it steady so that the redhead can't move it. A smug smirk is on her face as she raises her eyebrow, looking satisfied with herself that she failed Vi's attempt of sneaking up on her to spook her.
"I will have to let you know that my seventh sense is greater than a tiger" Cait says, still holding into Vi's arm. Vi finds this whole action for incredibly attractive. She chuckles as she grabs Caitlyns hand with her free one.
"Caught me red handed.... I will get you next time though" Vi says while still holding into the other's hand, intertwining their fingers. For a moment Vi stresses if she's being way too straightforward or pushy but all her worries disappear when Caitlyn's smile became softer and if Vi was to assume she'd say that the other woman melted a little bit because of her move. "How have you been?" she asks the blue haired woman as they start going towards the cinema, still holding each other's hands.
"I've been good. Yesterday was a pretty busy day at the store, we got a lot of new vinyls but sorting them out was so fun! There are some really good ones that I'm fighting the urge to buy" says Caitlyn as they get in line for the ticket booth. Vi urges the other woman to continue talking about the vinyls since she's interested in what Caitlyn has to say about them. It doesn't take a lot of persuasion for her to continue talking.
Even if her family is super rich and Caitlyn could just follow her mothers path into becoming the CEO of their family firm she doesn't. Judging by news articles instead of Caitlyn following her mother's steps it's her close family's friend that does- Jayce Talis, as he has been working now for around ten years under the guidance of Cassandra Kiramman. Caitlyn still hasn't revealed to Vi herself that her family comes from a lot of money and why she has decided against living a grand and rich life. There were times, long before her obsession with the blue haired woman got this serious, where Vi wondered if Cait has gone no contact with her family but those thoughts are proven wrong because Caitlyn still meets up regularly with her parents and has made some comments about having to do chores for her mom or dad. Which was a little bit surprising for her because she expected that since Caitlyn is an only child her mother would push her even harder to be the one who takes over the Kiramman firm, since most elite families do that, and would be greatly disappointed when her daughter declines to do so which would have lead to their relationship becoming estranged. But by how Caitlyn looks relaxed and content when she's with them or talking about them Vi decides that they most probably still have a great relationship. The redhead speculates that the british woman decided to live a quiet and peaceful life without the burden of having to be in control of something as big as the Kiramman firm and since she has a good relationship with her parents they most probably help her out financially for her to do whatever she wants. But it's important to say that, by what Vi has noticed, the blue haired woman tries to steer clear from accepting her parents help, most probably because she wants to have independence. But all of this is just speculations, of course, it's not set in stone so Vi might be wrong, even if she's almost completely sure that she's right.
Right now Caitlyn owns a small and cozy vinyl records shop, that is close to her apartment. She talks about it with such pride and joy that Vi can't help it but feel incredibly happy everytime the other woman talks about it, because Caitlyn's happiness has become to be Vi's happiness too.
The movie they decide to watch is "365 days". It should be a really bad pick of a movie for a second date and honestly? If you asked Vi three weeks ago if she'd ever choose to watch this movie for a second date with someone that she actually wants a future with, she would have immediately said no. But days ago she had a long call with Caitlyn that lead them to talking about movies they disliked and making fun of the incredibly cringey heterosexual films the idea of going together and watching the perfect example of what fitted into the description of what they have been giggling about just seemed like a good time. Caitlyn persists to pay for a bucket of popcorn and nachos with soft drinks and after a small back and forth argument about who should pay she wins. They make their way into the movie hall and their walk is filled with talks about how their previous days were like and other small talks. Sadly they had to let go of each other's hands because they had to hold their foods, which is a loss that bothers Vi but she soothes herself with the thought that she will be able to have some physical contact with Caitlyn during the movie. Maybe rest her arm on her shoulders or hold her hand again. 'Who knows, maybe I will get a wave of confidence and I might even rest my hand on her thigh. Actually no. That won't be a good idea, it's way too early to make moves like that, I don't want her to think that I'm some womanizer. But she's always so confident with the other women she has persuaded and they're also flirty? What if she wants me to be more upfront too? But what if that's a tactic she only uses for her one night stands, after all I still haven't seen her and her behaviour around women she wants a relationship with, maybe then she's different? Like everything is going so subtly right now and we are just taking our time getting to know each other. Maybe she appreciates that and wants to keep it this way? Maybe I should just let her take the lead. But I don't want to seem too submissive or to risk looking like I don't have any interest with her by being nonchalant-'
"Hellooooo" Caitlyn waves her hand in front of Vi's face "Earth is calling out for Vi, Vi do you hear me?" she jokes with a smile when Vi finally focuses on her.
"Sorry, what did you say?" Vi answers. The two women are sitting in the movie theatre and waiting for it to start projecting. Most of the other people are already there too, most of them being groups of women and couples.
"I was actually having a really great speech on how we should give giraffes greater protection because they thirty times more likely to be hit by a lightning than a human and you missed it, sadly" jokes Caitlyn with a giggle.
"Oh really? I'm actually heartbroken by the thought of missing that, would you go through it again for me?" answers sarcastically Vi with a small smile on her face.
"I won't be able to recite it again because that was a once in a lifetime opportunity, so maybe in our next life you would be able to hear it?" says back playfully Caitlyn "Everything is okay, right?" she continues, her voice more serious. There's a caring and worried undertones in her voice which melt Vi's heart a little bit.
"Everything's perfect Cait" she answers back surely as her smile widens. She uses the tender moment as an opportunity to, yet again, get a hold of the other womans hand "It couldn't be better" she finishes.
Caitlyn breaks off the eye contact they were holding to turn around and look at the advertisements that start playing at that moment and she tries to hide her smile and the blush that has taken over her cheeks.

The suppressed giggles of the two women at the back of the movie hall bring up a feeling of annoyance in most of the people in it. Vi can feel how multiple people throw nasty glares towards them everytime one of them whispers something to the other that forces a new wave of chuckles to be heard but she doesn't care about them.
"Stop it, we're being so childish right now" Caitlyn whispers as she tries to scold Vi after she tells her another joke that had Cait fighting down the urge to let out a loud laugh "I hope that you're aware of how disrespectful we are towards the people who are here to actually enjoy the movie".
"I'm actually well aware of that. It's just that... I don't really care" whispers back Vi. Caitlyn playfully pushes her shoulders and turns her gaze back at the movie screen.
"We are acting like immature schoolgirls" says Caitlyn. This whole new experience was something new for the british woman as she has never acted this carefree before. From a young age her parents have taught her how to act in a way that is the most acceptable and liked by the people around her, that leaving a good impression of yourself to someone is something so important. With all those years of experience Caitlyn has perfected how to read people and how to act around them, when to push and when to pull, when it's best to go hard and strong and when it's best to be soft and kind. The more time rolled by the more satisfied by herself Caitlyn felt, she feels pride in herself and how she behaves but that doesn't stop her from acknowledging that sometimes she forgets how to have fun and let loose. She rarely let's herself act childish and to not take herself seriously and when she does it's always around her most trusted people. But Vi brings out this part of her, where she just has fun and enjoys herself, Vi makes her feel safe and judging by all Caitlyn gathered while getting to know each other, she knows that the other woman would hardly judge her.
Vi is looking at her with warmth in her eyes as she continues to listen to Caitlyn complain about their childish behaviour. The blue haired woman still hasn't noticed the look of adoration she's getting and continues on with her rant but when she finally faces Vi and makes eye contact she stops talking. The amount of heavy tension between the two of them is jarring. 'Fuck, she's so gorgeous' thinks Vi to herself and just as she's about to share her thoughts with the british woman a loud moan from the movie is spead around the whole movie hall.
There's a mix of surprise and shock on Caitlyn's face when she hears it as that was the last thing she was expecting to happen at that moment. When the surprise washes off her face and the realisation of what just happened sets in she let's out a loud and uncontrollable laughter.
Vi continues to look at her dumbfounded but she joins in on her laughter when the realisation of the fact that they kinda got cockblocked from a loud moan from a movie that they both are watching just to make fun of it sets in.
Loud groans and complains are heard all around the cinema as the rest of the viewers hear the two women's laughter.
"You're in the fucking cinema, have your parents not taught you respect? Be quiet" someone from the front shouts out loudly. The moment Vi and Caitlyn hear that they start having even a harder time controlling their laughters. Caitlyn gets up from her seat as she grabs the others hand and starts to drag them out of the cinema hall, having a hard time walking and leading since the two of them where still cracking up so hard that their bellies hurted.
Eventually the two of them finally reach out of the movie hall where Caitlyn finally let goes of Vi's hand and they both sit on the ground trying to take a breath.
"Stop..." tries to get out Cait while getting close to crying from her hard giggles "...laughing. It's not funny" she continues.
Vi tries to answer her but she doesn't have the air to say anything because of how hard her cackles are.
"It's not even that funny" says Caitlyn while still lightly giggling but finally calming down a bit.
"That's one of the stupidest and funniest shit that I've ever been in" responds Vi while a huge grin on her face "We should definitely do it again in the future".
"Are you trying to get us banned from the cinema?" asks Caitlyn as she lightly pushes her shoulder into Vi's shoulder.
"Maybe I am. It would be kinda legendary if that did happen, don't you think?" jokes Vi.
"Shut up" huffs out Caitlyn amused by the other woman.

An impressed whistle finds it's way out of Vi's lips as she watches Caitlyn knock all ten pins down with her first ball again. Caitlyn turns around with a satisfied and smug facial expression. Confidence looks so hot on her. Caitlyn is so good in so many things and everytime Vi sees her acting confident she feels proud. The redhead believes that everything that the Kiramman does should be celebrated or praised because Caitlyn deserves all the love that she can get.
"You're an alright shot" says Vi when Caitlyn makes her way towards her.
"I'm an excellent shot" smiles back the blue haired woman.
"So, do you have any experience with sports?" asks Vi as she picks up a ball.
Of course, Vi already knew the answer to that. Caitlyn has been shooting ever since she was able to pick up a gun and hold it up probably. She has won a great amount of competitions, medals, trophies rarely getting anything below first place. She has been shooting in the most prestigious shooting ranges, has had the best out of the best teachers, one of them being her own mother. Turns out that the Kiramman's being excellent at shooting is in their blood, since all of the previous generations were also as great as the ones now and they are so passionate about it that all the bullets they use are branded with the Kiramman's firm logo.
"I like shooting. It's one of the things that bonded me with my mom" answers Caitlyn, a fond smile on her face when she mentions her mom that Vi, of course, takes notice of. 'Okay she has a great relationship with her mom for sure'.
"Shooting? Isn't that an expensive hobby?" questions Vi.
All of those questions are a part of Vi's plan. She has her main focuses and, genuinely speaking, hasn't put much thought into the little details of her plan. She just does them on a whim. Her most detailed part of the plan was the way they would meet each other for the first time and everything after that is just a rough outline. Them talking to each other, getting closer, her asking Caitlyn questions of stuff about her life, that she already knows the answers of, just so she can talk about them freely after that. And it ends with them being together and a happy ever after. Maybe one day she could even reveal to Caitlyn how interested she was in the blue haired woman even before they 'met each other for the time', but that would happen only when Vi was sure that Caitlyn wouldn't leave her because of that. After all Vi was aware that her 'stalking' might be a red flag and enough reason for a Caitlyn to leave her and that was the last thing that Vi wanted to happen.
"It can be" answers Caitlyn "What about you?" she asks, quick to change up the topic of conversation. 'Maybe I should leave the topic of how she and her family are absolutely loaded for later on' thinks to herself Vi "Are there any other sports that you like besides boxing?"
"I enjoy climbing" answers Vi as she throws the bowling ball towards the pins. Caitlyn cheers when the ball hits eight of them which makes the redhead smile "I like most sports if I have to be honest. But boxing will always have a special place in my heart" she continues as she goes back to take a second ball.
"And why is that?" asks Caitlyn curiously.
"A lot of my fondest moments include boxing. My father teaching me how to box, boxing with my brothers, one of my most favourite gifts from my childhood being boxing gloves" she says with a fond smile, preparing to throw the ball.
"You have brothers?" asks Caitlyn. It's the first time that Vi has mentioned them in front of the blue haired woman.
"Yeah....But they're not here anymore" answers back Vi as she throws the ball. It hits the two pins that are left "My father too" she finishes, her voice turning mournful.
"Oh I'm... I'm so sorry" says Caitlyn, her voice turning sympathetic. Vi can feel the mood turning sadder, heavier and she thinks of how to change it as she doesn't want to bother Caitlyn or worry her in some way.
"Don't worry your pretty head about it" tries to joke the red head "You should worry about how I'm close to overtaking you on the score board".
Caitlyn takes notice of how Vi tries to change the topic and goes along with it, not wanting to make the redhead uncomfortable by pushing her to share more.
"I'd love to see you try" she replies standing up from her seat to make her next strike.

The date is going so well, Vi couldn't be happier. The two women are now taking a walk, not ready to separate and go their own ways yet. This whole day was full of laughter, jokes, flirting and genuine talks. Vi would love to capture it and keep it forever, to just stay in this moment and not have to leave it but then she remembers that right now they're only at the start of their journey. In the future they will get even closer, their bond will be even stronger, their relationship will get more intimate and that makes the thought of having to say goodbye for today a little bit easier. Not that much, but still, a little bit easier.
"Let me walk you to your car beautiful" says Vi, the nickname making Caitlyn blush.
"The time that we spent together has been delightful" speaks Cait, saying what Vi has been thinking about "A part of me doesn't want it to end" she adds quietly and Vi can catch the hesitation in her voice. 'She's most probably worried that I don't feel the same. That she has had a really good time today, while for me it's just average or something like that. Maybe she is seeking out validation from me and assurance that I've also had a great time with her and want to repeat that in the future?'
"I had an amazing time too Cait" answers Vi "I already can't wait for the next time" 'That was good, wasn't it? Not too much to sound pushy, not too little to sound like I'm uninterested and-'
"Or... maybe you can come by my place? I have some really great wine and way too much stuff for a cheese board and need a little helping with eating all of it" she says, her voice lacking the usual confidence it has.
'Oh....OH. I knew that Caitlyn is more straightforward when she wants someone but I didn't expect to jump on the next level from the first date. Isn't there a three date rule or something like that?'
Caitlyn sees the gears in Vi's mind working, the puzzlement on the redhead's face and then she realises how what she says sounds like. A buzz of panic goes through her whole body "Oh wait, I mean in a platonic way... I mean not in a platonic platonic way but in a 'just two women chilling together' kind of way.... Not that what I want is platonic, wait no actually I don't but for this night I do! But I mean if you want I wouldn't have an issue with that... Oh my god, I'm so sorry I'm humiliating myself, what I'm trying to say is that we don't have to do anything..... Actually just forget those last two minutes please, I can't bear how atrocious they are" rambles Caitlyn nervously. Vi takes a good look at the girl next to her, her flushed cheeks, her eyes that are looking everywhere, steering clear from landing on the redhead, her hands that she has nervously hidden behind her back to hide them. That's a part of Caitlyn that Vi hasn't seen before and she can't help but feel captivated and curious by it. Almost everything that she has seen before from the other woman was confidence, her calm and collected side and this nervous and rambling side of Cait is fascinating and, oh, so adorable.
"Fuck yeah. I'm down to being one of the 'just two women chilling together' in a platonic but not so platonic way" chuckles Vi, slightly poking fun at the other woman. The british doesn't feel offended by the teasing remark because she can feel some fondness in Vi's voice. Caitlyn huffs a laugh, lightly and playfully punches Vi's shoulder.
