Perfection

Caitlyn's apartment looks even cuter in real life. It wasn't that hard for Vi to find more information about Caitlyn's place before they 'knew' each other. After Vi followed the other woman to the building most of the times she saw her, it wasn't that hard to connect the dots and to figure out that this is where Caitlyn lived. And unraveling the apartment she lived in wasn't hard too. A quick google search into the building lead Vi to finding people who are renting out apartments in there, all of them with the same layout of two rooms, which meant that Caitlyn's apartment is also like that. And a quick search into Caitlyn's and her friends posts, selfies and stories gave the redhead an idea of how the other's apartment looks like from the inside, what design she had in mind while decorating the place.

The walls of the living room are a light beige, a sage couch and a gorgeous persian carpet right in front of it. The coffee table is small and wooden and there's a lot if beautiful paintings all around the room. Vi can also see a small open kitchen at the opposite end of her. Caitlyn has done an amazing job decorating the place. She can't stop looking around while taking off her shoes, trying to memorise everything so that when she gets back home she can add all the new information she has on her favourite wall, how the apartment looks like, all the new information Caitlyn shared with her today. 'It would be amazing if I can successfully sneek in a picture of everything.'

"Would you like some slippers?" asks Caitlyn as she takes off her shoes. And before Vi can give an answer she can see Caitlyn already taking out two pairs of slippers.

"Thanks" says Vi "You have a really cute place".

"Thank you! I love it so much, being able to decorate everything however I want was so satisfying" replies Caitlyn "Please feel at home" she continues, gesturing towards the couch, urging Vi to take a seat. She goes to look at her wines, offering the boxer different options. Vi feels kind of awkward not helping out with the cheeseboard arrangement but when she asks if there's anything that she can help with Caitlyn kindly declines.

"If you want you can choose a vinyl to play for background music?" suggests Caitlyn when she notices Vi, appearing restless and looking around, wondering what to do exactly. Vi immediately jumps on the offer, always needing to do something, and goes to the big rack of vinyls, right next to the television. She goes through every single one of the vinyls, recognising a big part of the artists, either because she also listens to them or because she has seen Caitlyn following them on some of her social medias. Vi finally settles on one of Seraphine's albums, knowing that it's Caitlyns favourite.

And the other woman recognises it almost immediately after the first song starts.

"Oh, was I able to turn you into a Seraphine fan, Vi?" she teases.

"Maybe you were" answers Vi cheekily. Comfortable silence setting in, as Vi continues to look around and Caitlyn continues to cut up different stuff to treat her guest.

"Soo.... Tell me something about yourself that I don't already know" says Vi, trying to start a new conversation between the two. She doesn't go back to the couch and instead she just walks around the room, looking at the covers of Caitlyns books. For Caitlyn it might look like the boxer is showing innocent curiosity, when the reality is that Vi is gathering more new information about her, trying to remember the covers of the books to seek out later, to listen to the albums of the vinyls she has, to watch the movies from the dvds Caitlyn kept. 'Who would still keep dvds at this time and age? Most laptops don't even have dvd players anymore. But, I mean, she does own a vinyl store, I don't even know why I'm suprised at the fact that she still has dvds too. What's next, a cassette player? She's such an old soul. And I'd say that me looking around is innocent.... And it is curiousity.... Just a little bit cranked up' thinks Vi.

"I feel like you already know so much about me" answers Caitlyn as she makes the final arrangements of the cheese board. 'Oh you don't even know the half of it' thinks Vi and a small chuckle escapes her lips.

"But not everything, right? There has to be something that I don't know" she says. The moment she finishes the last sentence she realises that this might sound a little creepy "Like your favourite subject in middle school, let's say" she says, hoping that this would salvage her from sounding like a creep. And it looks like it works from the amused huff Caitlyn lets out.

"Try to guess" challenges Caitlyn. She takes the cheeseboard in one hand and the two wine glasses in the other as she makes her way over the coffee table and couch. Vi walks towards her, and takes the cheeseboard from her board to help her out, which Caitlyn thanks her for.

"Judging by all the books you have, I'd say that it must have been literature" answers Vi. 'And also judging by the amount of posts your middle school made bragging about your wins in the writing competitions'

Caitlyn starts giggling after hearing her answer.

"Would you look at that, we know each other for maybe around a week and you already know me so well" she says. Vi gives her a satisfied look, a smirk on her lips "Should I try to guess yours?" asks playfully Caitlyn.

"Please try. I'd love to know your thoughts."

Caitlyn hums and takes a moment to think of her answer. Her eyebrows are furrowed, her lips tighten and she touches her chin, wondering. Vi smiles at her pondering expression, finding it for absolutely adorable.

"I mean, PE is a safe choice and makes the most sense" Caitlyn starts, but trails off at the end "But you also look like a person who would like subjects like maths or maybe physics" she finishes, giving Vi an unsure look.

The boxer looks surprised at the other woman's answer. Most people always find her for an airhead, who's only interest is in punching stuff and fitness. She has accepted that most people would have wrong expectations of her, based on her appearances. Afterall her big muscles, her piercings and her great amount of tattoos scream 'trouble' in most people's eyes. And Vi kinda expected that Caitlyn would also have some wrong ideas about her, even if Vi has already observed the british woman enough to know that she's really intelligent and good at reading the people around her. There was still a part of her that thought that Caitlyn would be like the rest. That she wouldn't be that different. And Vi already made peace with that idea because she admires and treasures her a lot, the boxer wouldn't dare to hold anything against Caitlyn, but it turns out that the blue haired woman might be even better than Vi's expectations.

Some of people's prejudges were kind of right though. Vi was never able to graduate high school. She doesn't have the 'proper' education because she never had the chance to finish it. A lot of stuff happened in her life, she went through a lot of losses, not by her choice and she never had the privilege to experience what most people would call a 'normal' life. But besides that, Caitlyn got it right. While she was in middle school she greatly enjoyed maths and physics. She remembers studying hard for them, so that she could help Powder later on with her homework. And to most people's shock, she took a big pleasure in studying about anything. She liked all subjects, even if she never showed it, and was really dedicated in education.

"I'm curious about why you think that" questions Vi after her surprise washes off.

"You just look like a person who would have a preference for stem subjects" answers simply Caitlyn "Those subjects are mostly repetitive, once you get the hold of them you don't have to worry about it suddenly changing the next day. Like the number two is not going to suddenly change into a three tomorrow, all the equations with it are not going to change, it's predictable. And you like that, don't you?" she finishes and looks Vi straight into her eyes. The look she gives Vi makes a little bit on edge. 'I'm feeling so worried that she'd somehow figure out that I have a big interest in her and ditch me because she thinks I'm creep. This fear is starting to kind of get to me which is not good at all, I have to stay calm and not let it capture me.' thinks Vi to herself. Caitlyn takes note of Vi's silence "Or am I wrong?" questions Caitlyn, tilting her head, her voice turning uncertain.

"No, no, you're right. I'm just surprised that you were so on point" quickly reassures her Vi and when Caitlyn finds out that her assumption is correct a small smile appears on her face.

"Okay" says Caitlyn, as she grabs her own hands, a small clapping sound going around after her move "Now is my turn to ask a question" she says, her voice excited.

"Are we making this into a twenty questions game?" huffs Vi.

"Yes, we are. What is your favourite type of architecture?"

Vi knows that she should be getting home. It's way too late, midnight has already passed and she has work at nine in the morning. But she just can't force herself to leave Caitlyn when they're having such a nice time together. As expected, they're talking non stop about everything and anything like they have since the time they 'met' each other. Vi wonders how acceptable it would be to ask Caitlyn if she can sleep over for the night but she doesn't want to bother the other woman. After all, they're still not that close, even if they have talked a lot considering that they have known each other for a week. And it is their first date, it's already unusual for it to be this long so Vi decides to wrap it up before she stays at Caitlyn's place for too long and ends up completely sleepless for her shift tomorrow. Sevika would not be happy at all if Vi goes to work absolutely exhausted.

"It's getting really late cupcake. I need to go" says Vi, as she glances at the clock on Caitlyn's wall. They're both seated next to each other on the couch, nonstop rambling. When Vi says that Caitlyn looks ar her and tries to hide her disappointment.

"Please let me drive you to your place" asks Caitlyn "It's so late and cold outside, I'd hate to leave you to walk alone to your home or to wait until a taxi picks you up" she continues.

Vi wants to reject the offer because she doesn't want to bother the other woman, she knows that she's not the only one who has to wake up early the next day but the look in Caitlyn's eyes tells her that she wouldn't be able to decline her offer. Caitlyn has already made her mind and she would push with everything to go through with sending Vi to her home. So Vi accepts.

The drive to the redheads home is quiet. The two women don't talk, the only thing that can be heard in the car is the radio playing on low volume. But it's not an awkward silence, it's a comfortable one, it is restful since they did spend the whole day talking a lot. Even if the two became chatter boxes when they're together, they still have their social batteries that give up after some time and looks like their recharging point is after around twelve hour of chatting, which is quite a lot. Vi would actually say that if she's with other people she would have wanted to leave and have some time alone a lot sooner but with Caitlyn it's different. Caitlyn's presence brings a comfort like nothing Vi has felt before. She wants to be with her as much as she can and when they're both too tired to continue talking she wants to rest with her. Just stay in this comfortable silence, not doing anything besides exist together. That would be more than enough for the boxer to get energised again.

"That's the place, right?" asks Caitlyn as she stops the car in front of Vi's apartment building. Hearing the other woman brings the boxer back from spacing out. She adjustes her view on her home and nods at Caitlyn, confirming that they are in the right place.

"Thank you for today Cait" starts off Vi as she turns to face the blue haired woman "I had an amazing time" she finishes. There's so much more stuff that she wants to say but she doesn't know how to put them in words so instead she reaches over to Caitlyns hand, gently grabbing it and lightly squeezes it. Caitlyn has a fond look on her face and a gentle smile that makes Vi feel like her heart is melting. Even if Vi is unable to put her feelings in words she feels like Caitlyn knows exactly how she feels.

"I'm really glad" she kindly says.

Vi gives her one last smile for today and opens the car door. She steps out of the car and walks towards the building. She turns around towards Caitlyn's car before she steps inside to wave goodbye. Instead of waving for goodbye back, Caitlyn sends her a kiss which makes Vi huff in amusement and she tries to ignore the way her cheeks suddenly feel a lot more hotter. She quickly gets inside and only after Caitlyn was sure that she's safely in the building she drives off.

While she walks up the stairs she can't control her smile and giddiness. She was waiting for this for so so long and it's finally happening. She spent so much time after work, watching the british woman through windows, from the distance, online and admiring her. At that time she truly thought that this would be enough. Just watching her. Caitlyn was like a piece of art to look at and absorb, something that made Vi's life a little bit happier and brighter. But now that she was able to interact with the other, get closer to her, she doesn't know if she'd ever be able to go back to how everything used to be. To just watch her and not be able to have these lovely talks with her, to share those innocent touches that they did, to not feel Caitlyn's kind and soft gaze on her. She feels like she has tasted heaven and how is she supposed to go back to her normal and gray world when she has found out how paradise feels like? And that was just the beginning, she has so many more stuff to achieve in the future, to get closer and know Caitlyn even more deeply and she knows that when they get to this part it would be even better than now. If this was just a little taste then she can't wait to feel how it is to devour everything.

'I'm getting greedy' she realises. But she doesn't leave this thought stay on her mind for too long.

After all, there would always be a part of her that longs for Caitlyn.

"Should I go outside with a gun and threaten Caitlyn that if she dares to break your heart I'd break her face the next time she's here?" hears Vi the moment she closes the door of her apartment from behind her. She throws a quick look back at Jinx who has a smug expression on her face. The boxer knows that her sister finds this whole situation for really humorous and entertaining.

"Piss off" Vi rolls her eyes but the amused chuckle she lets out shows that her annoyance is just for show.

"I mean, it's not like we have a dad to do those stereotypical parents stuff and someone has to do them.... And I can't think of a better option than me" she continues "I mean, Sevika is also an option but that old ogre would most probably prefer to eat her mechanical arm instead of dealing with our bullshit" jokes Jinx.

Ignoring Jinx's jokes, Sevika was the person who really stepped up in their lives as a caregiver for them when they lost everything. A lot of people would say that she could have done a better job, and maybe she could have, but it doesn't matter because she has done more than enough. Even if she acts annoyed by them and is always cold, the two sisters are well aware of the fact that if everything goes to shit they can trust her. She was always there in their rough times, pulling them up and helping them out. She was always like that, hiding how much she cares for the people around her, awkward with showing her attachment and feelings. Sevika has always been the type of a person to show her love through her actions, words are not a strong suit for her. And even if Jinx loves to joke around and tease the older woman, Vi knows that her sister is really attached towards her. The two of them have a weird, but strong bond. 'Sevika is like those dads that talk about never wanting a cat, that they're too much trouble and bother but when they get one they fall in love with it and the cats favourite human is said dad. And Jinx is the cat'

"Should I prepare myself to give this type of talk to Luxanna then?" questions Vi. Suprise washes over Jinx as she looks at her sister, feeling flabbergasted.

Luxanna Crownguard. She is one of Caitlyn's distant relatives but also one of her close friends. Vi still remembers when she was at the beginning stages to fulfilling the 'stalkerish' wall, as Jinx likes to call it, and how when she added Luxanna's picture to it, Jinx was immediately drawn to it. The amount of times Vi has caught Jinx staring at it dreamily is actually quite embarrassing if she has to be honest. A part of her gets second hand embarrassment from how smitten her sister is, but then the thought of how obsessed she is with Caitlyn quickly sobers her. She has no place to judge Jinx when she's so consumed by the british woman.

"What? What are you talking about? I don't care about her at all" tries to deny Jinx but the both of them know that this is just a plain lie.

And that's the difference between the two sisters. While Vi got incredibly obsessed by her love interest, Jinx refuses to know anything about hers. The only thing she knows about Lux is what Vi has written about her on the wall. Has a brother, close with Caitlyn, rich family, super smart. Vi has wanted to give more information about the blond woman to her sister but everytime she has tried to say anything about her Jinx would childishly start singing loudly and block her ears with her hands, so Vi has given up. If Jinx doesn't want to know more about Lux, even if there is clear interest in her, then Vi wouldn't push her.

"Yeah, sure" replies back Vi, her voice not covering her deep disbelief.

"That's not important at all, why are we even talking about this? What's important is how the thirteen hours date with the poor woman you've been stalking nonstop the last two years-"

"It's not two years" corrects her Vi.

"Okay, a year and a half. How did it go? What did you babble about? Did you kiss? Actually, don't tell me that, I don't want to know" starts rambling Jinx, quick to change the topic. Vi already feeling exited by how great the day has been, starts sharing with her.
