Uzumaki-Uchiha
Walking to the door, Neji already knew who was behind that door, because wherever Naruto was, his husband was not that far behind him. But hey, maybe Neji was wrong this time.
Opening the door there stood the tall raven-haired man Sasuke Uchiha. Neji rolled his eyes of course he had to be right, but at the same time, he was a little relieved that it wasn't his husband.
“Long time no see Neji,” Sasuke smirked trying to move past him.
“Hold up there Uchiha who said your ass is allowed into my house? Now take ten steps back and bring your ass right back to the door so I can decide if I want to let you in or not. Thank you.”
Sasuke stepped back outside and rolled his eyes.
“Why do I have to do this? Naruto is sitting right there,” he brought his hand to his head and sighed.
“Because it's funny to watch you suffer Uchiha. Now you may come in,” Neji moved to let him pass. After letting Sasuke and Neji go with his daughter to give them a little space.
In the living room with Naruto and Sasuke
Sasuke sat beside Naruto which caused Kawaki to look over his mother’s shoulder he stared at the man raising an eyebrow. He was shocked by the man but also curious as to where he wanted to start asking questions.
Maybe this is my father who knows all want to do right now is cuddle up with my mom and go to sleep. It feels so good to finally say that, but I still have to prepare myself. If I'm not their child I don't want to get my hopes up.
After a while Kawaki decided to just leave it alone and cuddle back into Naruto and soon after fell asleep. It was as if he had no worries in the world.
“Naruto we will have to do a paternity test to make sure this is him,” Sasuke spoke, bringing his hand up to playing Kawaki’s hair.
“I know we can do it today so we can go and get it over with,” He spoke nuzzling back into Kawaki.
“Yeah, I'll ask Shikamaru to bring a testing kit over to the hotel when he gets back.”
“Yeah, it is better to do it now while he is sleeping.”
“Ok, do you want me to take him to the car while you finish up with Neji?”
Naruto nodded and Sasuke went to grab Neji. They came behind Sasuke and watched him pick up Kawaki.
“He is underweight so you guys will need to get his diet back up. It may take a while but I believe he will get there. We were going to go buy some clothes but I had unexpected visitors as you can see so you will have to go and have him fitted along with a doctor's checkup,” Neji concluded before sitting down.
“Okay we will do that all today and thank you Neji for taking him in even though it didn’t last long,” Sasuke walked out the door after that.
Sasuke was shocked that he was holding Kawaki in his hands even though he still had his guard up just a little. Just by holding him, he knew Naruto was going to be feeding him as much as he could to get his weight back up. Even Though they had to take a Paternity test Sasuke could tell that he was theirs but he just had to be sure. He needed to call Shikamaru to bring that test back to the hotel along with one of his doctors since they didn’t want to go to the safe house. Moving Kawaki around he pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed Shikamaru.
“What up Sasuke, what do you need?”
“I need one of your doctors to come by the hotel so we can take a paternity test and do some checkups on Kawaki. Can you do that?”
“Yeah, I’ll do that after I finish everything up here in the company. Anyways besides all of that, where did you find him?”
“Neji had him over at his house lucky he did cause now we know where he is and that Shino didn’t give us faulty information.,” Sasuke began the walk back to the car.
“So you're still at Neji’s,” this perked Shikamaru’s interest.
“Yeah you come by here tonight he won’t be expecting you I don't think. You may be a little surprised to find out that’s all,” Sasuke said as he placed Kawaki in the car and buckled him in.
“Is he married or something that can easily be dealt with?” Hearing what Sasuke was saying made his mind start racing. He did not like where this was going. Yes, he expected that Neji may have gotten a new partner after Shino mentioned a little girl, but he was still married to him so how was that fair?
Yeah, he will be surprised by his audacity to find someone new after I have been searching high and low for him. yeah, he will be surprised alright along with that new partner of his. (As you can see Shikamaru can be an overthinker 😂)
“I hope you know by what you are saying you are making me think I'm going to have to kick someone’s ass when I go over there Uchiha. So I suggest that you better not be toying with me,” he states before hanging up.
“And he called me dramatic huh, that overthinking going through his head,” Sasuke chuckled as he got into the car.
Back in the house
“Thank you, Neji for taking care of Kawaki for me. I want you to know that I am very grateful for you doing that when you didn't have to.” Naruto pulled Neji into a hug and began to walk to the door.
“It’s no problem Naru you know I'll be there for you even if I'm not there in person I'll always have you guys back. I miss you guys every day. I wish I could come back, but due to these circumstances, I don't think I will. Hopefully, we will grace each other's presents again. Tell everyone I said hello and I wish you the best,” he walked with Naruto to the car and bid him and Sasuke farewell.
“Hopefully that is not a long farewell,” he mumbled back into the house.
“Hanamu come into the living room, let's watch a movie!”
“Ok, I'm coming!”
