Kyoko Reborn as Shinobi!

Kyoko hummed as she exercised her flames to rotate inside her, 'It has been two days since Lady Tsunade was given the Godaime title and two days since Naruto and the others left to rescue Naomi.'

Bull, "Kid, you good?"

Kyoko, "Yeah, just worried about Naruto and the others. I know, he and Sasuke are healers and will take care of them. But you know... "

Bull, "You are a good kid. Do not worry, your Sensei will be there as well. Hatake was and still is the best ANBU member."

Kyoko, "He is also a self sacrificing fool and I worry about him the most."

Bull chuckled, "Yes, he is like that, isn't he?"

Kyoko smiled looking outside, "I hope, they are okay."

Hinata knocked on the door getting her attention, "Kyoko - chan, it is time for your routine."

Kyoko smiled at her, "Of course, Hinata - chan. How are you adjusting as a nurse?"

Hinata helped her to the exercise area as they went through the exercise for the muscle rehabilitation. It was Lady Tsunade who had recommended it in order to help Kyoko heal faster and to keep her busy and out of trouble. The Godaime had gone through the reports of the past decade with a very twitching eye. Child trafficking, Danzo betraying Konoha, human slave market, kekkai genkai theft, sniffing out moles in the force, etc. That does not even cover the other things like claiming the Jinchuriki as her brother, creating jutsus for said brother as a fuck you to the rest of the village.

The one that got her attention was the special golden palm jutsu that only Naruto and Kyoko could use. But no one else could create it no matter how much or how many times they tried to do so. Tsunade was envious and proud of them, especially when she realized the jutsu was an original creation. No one else knew about it nor were there any information about it previously, like the palm healing jutsu which was known even before Mito's era. Tsunade had worked hard to improve the hospital and the health requirements of the shinobi but even she had not created a jutsu, her seal was a different matter.

Hinata, "Ino has been taking Sakura along with her on missions around the village."

Kyoko paused before carrying on her exercise, "I am not surprised. No one was expecting Orochimaru to kidnap one of our own. A terrible oversight on our part."

Hinata poked her cheek, "It is not your fault Koko - chan. You cannot watch over us twenty four seven."

Kyoko absent mindedly hummed, "Yes, you are right about that. I am not a mind controller to tell and control people."

Hinata nodded sagely, "Exactly!"

Kyoko giggled, "Anyway, how are things going in your clan? I heard the Elders were angry with your father."

Hinata scowled, "They can shove it where the sun does not shine."

Kyoko, "That bad?"

Hinata sighed, "Yeah, Dad is all for getting rid of that horrible seal. He saw the notes you and Naruto made. The ones where it pointed out the seal was holding the shinobi back and he was not amused. He demanded answers from the Elders."

Kyoko muttered, "I see, so they have been withholding information."

Hinata, "Hanabi and I moved in with Neji, Tenten and Lee for the time being. At least, till this madness has been dealt with."

Kyoko, "Good thing Neji - kun is not here. He would have chakra palmed the Elders. How is your father? Is he still being hard on you?"

Hinata, "He is strict as always but he has calmed down somewhat. He is not as uptight as before, you could say."

Kyoko, "I see, I am glad to hear that."

Hinata smiled behind Kyoko, 'Well, you are the reason father no longer pushes Hanabi - chan and I to get stronger. Thank you Koko - tan.'

The Hyuuga clan was a very old clan descending from an old noble family who were mostly guards to the royal families but later joined Konoha. It was a big change from what they did normally back then, which was not even a few decades ago hence why they still followed strict standards and rules. Hinata and Hanabi had both been forced to adhere to those rules just like their father and his twin. Hinata shook her head as she helped Kyoko finish her exercise and helped her clean up. It was the only thing Hinata could do personally to show how much she treasured and adored her friend. She had even promised Naruto she would take care of Kyoko and keep an eye on her.

Flashback!

Hinata, "Neji nii - sama, come back safely."

Neji, "Do not worry. We will not be alone."

Lee grinned, "Besides we are Chunin now, Hinata - chan. We will be safe."

Naruto, "Hey, Hinata - chan."

Hinata, "Yes?"

Sasuke, "Can we ask a favor?"

Hinata, "Sure, what is it?"

Naruto, "Please, keep nee - chan out of trouble."

Hinata, "Oh... You worry while you are gone she might get into trouble."

Sasuke, "Or worse she could end up in coma again trying to heal herself faster. Koko - tan follows a step by step process to do things."

Naruto, "It does not stop her from attracting trouble or from getting into trouble."

Kakashi sighed, "Indeed, it would be a great source of relief if you kept an eye on her. The ANBU will keep her safe but they tend to watch more and they might be called away depending on what sort of emergency arises."

Hinata nodded, "Okay, I understand."

Kiba, "Do not worry too much. We will keep an eye on her together."

Naruto, "I would ask Ino - san but she gets tunnel vision when Sakura - san is involved."

Hinata, "Sometimes I wonder about them."

Sasuke, "Time will tell."

Kakashi, "Get ready kiddos, once the Godaime gives us the signal we leave at top speed."

Shikamaru, "Hey, Sakura - san, do not fret. Naomi - san is strong, one of the strongest Kunoichi of our generation. She is a Chunin too, on top of that. I am sure she has thought of a way to protect herself now."

Sakura gave a weak smile, "Yeah, she no doubt will think of a way to mess with them too."

Torune, "The sand siblings are joining the mission as a show of good will."

Sakura, "Yeah, we will be doing our best from here too."

Kakashi, "Time to go. Attack team, Lee, Neji, Naruto you will be running ahead with me. Back up team, Shino, Sasuke and Shikamaru, you will be in charge of medical and strategic back up. Temari, Gaara and Kankuro will join us half way through."

Godaime, "Best of luck and bring her home."

"Yes, Godaime - sama."

Flashback end!

Kyoko, "I was thinking of making my special Cheesecake."

Hinata, "I will help."

Kyoko, "Of course."

Hinata got the crutches and Kyoko used them to get to the kitchen showing her where everything was located. They started to work together with Kyoko showing Hinata what to do and the dark haired girl following the instructions. The Hyuuga heiress marveled at how a different method created a different type of cake. She loved the heavier type of cheesecake more than the lighter type because it was easier to control how much to consume. Hinata hummed when Kyoko suggested they should get Tenten, Ino and Sakura and have a cake day. It would be something for just the Kunoichi of Konoha to do together while the boys were busy doing their own thing.

While Kyoko was making sure the Kunoichi were doing alright Naruto and the others were rushing through the forest. They had met with the sand siblings a few hours ago and Gaara was talking quietly with Naruto and Sasuke. Temari hummed beside Shikamaru who eyed her as she kept an eye on her siblings while focusing on the mission too. Temari figured the boys were talking about Kyoko - chan, her first friend who did not care about the fact, that she was the Desert Kage's daughter. Kyoko had treated her like she was just another normal girl and had brought her and her brothers closer through her own brand of chaos.

Temari amended, 'I have Naruto to thank too.'

Shikamaru, "You good Subaku - san."

Temari, "I am alright. Just wondering how Kyoko - chan is doing."

Shikamaru, 'Kyoko - chan? Guess the rumours about Team Seven strengthening the relationship between Fire and Wind are true after all.'

Temari, "She is my first friend. I mean outside my siblings and cousins I did not have friends."

Shikamaru, "I understand, Ino and Chouji were my first friends too. Before them I was mostly hanging out with my cousins."

Temari, "Yeah, I was really worried when Kyoko - chan did not wake up. So, getting the letter saying she was awake and healthy was a big relief."

Shikamaru, "Many Konoha kunoichi felt the same way. Kyoko does not know it but she is the main source of morale for many kunoichis back in the village. If anything happened to her it would be bad for everyone."

Temari, "Surely not that bad? I know she means a lot to everyone just like she is important to me. What's the worst that could happen?"

Neji gave a wry smile, "We would have to deal with a very angry Nine tails, two pissed off clans and a Kunoichi rebellion."

Temari, "Two pissed off clans?"

Sasuke, "My clan would not be happy if the person who helped deal with the kekkai genkai problem died."

Shino, "Koko - tan saved me and my twin from being kidnapped. Our clan would riot as well if she had lost her life."

Lee, "Yosh! The flames of youth burn in your clan for Kyoko - san."

Temari looked back, "I get the feeling Gaara, Kankuro and I would join you too. If only to get revenge against the one who took Kyoko - chan from us. I know Ichibi - sama would not hold back, at least."

Naruto, "I am really glad nee - chan could not join this mission. She is not above sacrificing herself to keep everyone else safe."

Sasuke gave Kakashi the stink eye, "She picked that up from you by the way."

Kakashi, "I did not teach her that."

Naruto gave him an incredulous look which made Kakashi feel very offended while Pakkun was laughing his heart out. Pakkun bluntly told Kakashi the kids did pick up some of his habits and unluckily the Naiko pup picked up the worst kind. The silver haired Jounin pouted as he whined about not teaching his Koko - tan that part. Temari just watched their dynamic with open fascination as the three males bickered among themselves about habits. Neji just shook his head at the antics while Lee egged them on Gaara and Kankuro were watching them just like Temari was.

Shino, "We can take a break up ahead."

Kakashi, "That's great Shino - kun. It is getting late. Pakkun the trail."

Pakkun, "Still strong."

Naruto, "I will set up a defensive perimeter. Gaara, come on I will show you this seal I created a few days ago with Biju chakra."

Kyuubi poofed into existence, "It was made to keep Koko - tan safe."

Ichibi appeared as well, "Interesting, show us."

Gaara, "Lead the way."

Kankuro watched the two leave, "I am still not used to seeing that."

Sasuke, "You are telling me?"

Shino, "It has been three years and we are still not used to Kyuubi - sama's miniature presence."

Kakashi, 'I had a feeling they knew for a long time. But three years ago? It must have been when I went after that traitor Danzo.'

Back in Konoha Tsunade was checking the paperwork that revolved around the hospital with a fine tooth and comb. She was pretty annoyed at learning that before Naiko and her followers had volunteered at the hospital as civilians there were only two Shinobi medics! A thorough investigation pointed the culprit to the old coot Danzo who was forcing the shinobi to become fighters instead of healers. She had already read about that fool's involvement with the human slave market and his hand in Lady Biwako's death. Her death was no doubt what forced her Sensei to finally snap at his old teammate and go after him.

Tsunade sighed, "So many things happened."

Shizune, "Are you alright Tsunade - sama?"

Tsunade, "Yes, I am just thinking I should probably talk to Naiko and get her side of the incidents."

Shizune eyed the papers, "These are all the incidents Naiko - san was involved in."

Tsunade, "Child trafficking which led to Danzo getting busted, creating new jutsu which led to helping shinobi serious about it pass the exams, new rules for health and care of the shinobi force in the hospital based on pure common sense. I should thank her personally for that particular one."

Shizune smiled, "You sound like you like her."

Tsunade, "Because of her I do not have to worry about the hospital. If I could I would adopt her on the spot as my heiress."

Kyoko sneezed, "Achooooooooo!"

Bull, "Not falling sick on me, are you?"

Kyoko, "Nope, someone is just saying something stupid about me."
