Kyoko Reborn as Shinobi!

Kyoko, "Again Naruto."

Naruto panted, "You really know how to run a shinobi to the ground nee - chan."

Sasuke grunted, "Yeah, we should take a break I think."

Kyoko, "No."

Naruto looked at her, "Eh? Why nee - chan?"

Sasuke eyed her curiously, "Is there a reason Koko - tan? We trust you Koko - tan but we are curious."

Kyoko, "I have been studying the flames for a while now."

Naruto tilted his head, "Flames? You mean this?"

Naruto brought his Sun flames forward getting a nod of affirmation from Kyoko. She started to explain about flames and how many she found out from the golden flames to her purple one. The golden flames she called Sun flames could heal through activation while the purple one created hard or soft illusions through construction. Kyoko took Naruto's hand and ran her flames over Naruto's coaxing the orange flames out naming it Sky flames. Kyoko remembered what Reborn had explained before and told Naruto his Sky flames were harmonization and how he could control temperature.

Kyoko, 'Well, Tsuna - kun could do it, I wonder if Naruto can.'

Sasuke, "What do you mean by being able to control heat?"

Kyoko lit her fingers up with different coloured flames, 'Thank you Death for helping me.'

Naruto, "Nee - chan, it looks like a rainbow."

Sasuke nodded, "Very beautiful."

Kyoko, "My Sun flames which is the Golden one and Mist flames which is the purple one are the strongest. I have a feeling your Sun and Sky flames are the strongest Naruto."

Naruto, "What about the others?"

Kyoko smiled and explained the Storm, Cloud, Lightning, Rain and the Black flame which was teleportation but hers were weak. She would have to train really hard to actually teleport from one place to another without killing herself. Sasuke was very fascinated and really wanted the Sun flames if he ever activated his own flames in the future. Kyoko then stopped the theory lesson and then removed the Mist flames that had surrounded them which both boys noticed now that they knew the flames existed.

Sasuke, "We are being watched."

Naruto mused, "Probably, I mean we are not even Chunin yet officially."

Kyoko, "They are probably just worried because of the two, S - ranked nins interfering with the exams."

Sasuke frowned but did not refute the suspicion, 'How annoying but that's the price of becoming stronger I guess.'

Kakashi, "Suke - kun, Ruru - kun, Koko - tan, exactly where did you disappear to?"

Kyoko, "Sensei?"

Sasuke, "When did you get here?"

Naruto, "We thought you were busy."

Kakashi gave an eye smile, "I was busy but then I was informed that you three pups went missing early morning. So, do you have something to tell me?"

Kyoko's eyes widened, "Oh, that would be my fault, Sensei. I apologize for getting everyone worried."

Kakashi, "I see. But next time please be more considerate of others. Oh, and good job on the Genjutsu. Even Kurenai - san over there was unable to find you."

Kurenai was eyeing them, "That was a pretty powerful Genjutsu and you look completely exhausted too. How about taking a break for now?"

Naruto, "Ramen?"

Sasuke, "Ramen sounds good. Koko - tan?"

Kyoko sighed smiling, "Alright, let's take some rest for today."

Kakashi, "Next time tell someone, okay?"

Kyoko, "Yes Sensei."

Kakashi waited for them to leave, "See what I mean?"

ANBU Jackal, "It's like looking at a mini you, Sempai but as a girl."

Kakashi gave an eye smile, "It is, isn't it?"

ANBU Jackal huffed, "I think I can see why Orochimaru wants them now. I was skeptical when I heard he was after three children."

ANBU Weasel, "He will not touch them. Not as long as we keep an eye on them."

Kurenai murmured, "Indeed, Hina - chan would be very upset if anything happened to Kyoko - san. She truly adores and looks up to her."

The ANBU looked at each other, they knew it was not just the Hyuuga Princess who looked up to the young Naiko. Thanks to her exemplary results and creations many girls were now working three times harder to become strong Kunoichis. If anything happens to Naiko the morale of the Kunoichis would be affected very badly too. So, it was very important to keep her safe from those who are a lot stronger than her like the S - ranked nin who want her either dead or on their side. Knowing how petty the child can be, Kyoko would do her best to destroy those nin even if it meant killing herself in the process.

Naruto, "Sensei, what are you waiting for? Come on already. You can join us too, Kurenai - Sensei and ANBU - sans."

Kakashi laughed, "Coming Ruru - tan, we were just discussing the security of the area. We may have to upgrade it more."

Naruto nodded, "Because of nee - chan right? Yeah, Suke - tan and I are worried about her. She does not seem to care that someone wants her as their weapon."

Kurenai, "That's not a good attitude to have. Hinata - chan would be upset if she heard Naiko - san did not care about her safety."

Naruto, "Nee - chan says as long as we are safe, she does not mind. I do not want to lose her. She is my nee - chan, you know?"

ANBU Weasel, "We understand your concerns, Uzumaki - kun. Do not worry, as long as she is inside the village we will keep her safe. She is a breath of fresh air for everyone, she sees things everyone else seems to overlook. Someone like that is too valuable to lose."

Naruto smiled and thanked him before saying they were inside the Ramen stand and poofing away. The ANBU and two Sensei blinked and joined the three for dinner before Kakashi took the three home. He had already sent messages to their respective families they would spend the night at Hatake compound. The adults agreed readily as they were currently in a shadow war fighting off puppet shinobi. A week ago the Suna siblings had reported that they were unable to get in contact with their father and feared for the worst.

A few days after that puppets that were controlled with seals started to appear. They wanted the Jinchurikis considering the fact they went after Gaara and tried to go after Naruto as well. Thankfully ANBU Weasel was back after a long impromptu break and dealt with the ones attacking Team Seven. A few days after Kyoko explained the existence of flames the final part of the exam started. The huge stadium that was located in the middle of the village was filled to the brim with tourists and delegates who were there to watch. Even the young Queen Koyuki was there with her harem of three women and four men to watch.

Kyoko sweat dropped, "She really took our advice to have her harem trained as guards seriously."

Sasuke, "Yeah, I did not think she would either."

Naruto, "At least she is safe right?"

Sandaime got up to welcome the respected guests, "Koyuki - jou and Kazekage of Suna. Welcome to Konoha's twentieth Chunin exams."

Koyuki, "I am happy to join the celebrations, Hokage - sama. I was very pleased when I received the invitation. In fact if I were to be very personal I say a certain Team is fit to be Chunin."

Sandaime Hokage laughed, "I see, I see. I'm sure they will be happy to hear the glowing recommendation."

Kazekage of Suna raised an eyebrow, "Oh? Is that so? How curious! I saw the tournament list earlier. I'm very curious how things will turn out."

Hiruzen gave a professional smile and ushered them to their seats with their body guards behind them. The Suna Kazekage was eyeing the new Queen of the Snow country and engaged her in talks. The Sandaime welcomed everyone who was attending the tournament and visiting. He was very happy to announce the wonderful growth of the young shinobi from Genin to Chunin and wished them luck in the exam. Hayato whose hand was in a sling announced the start of the exam and warned the participants they were being watched not just by Konoha but also those from other countries and villages.

Hayato, "You will be judged not based on what jutsu you know but on how you use your skills, abilities and strategy. Now without further ado look behind you."

Hayato waited as the screen flickered and two names appeared, "Except for the two chosen shinobi, the rest should leave the field for the waiting area."

Koyuki's eyes lit up, "Oh Sasuke - san is going first against your cousin, Uruyu - chan."

Uruyu, "Yes, I look forward to how they do."

Kazekage, "You have met the young Uchiha before?"

Koyuki, "Yes, I saw him confess his love and his lover accepted. It was so sweet and romantic."

The Kazekage sweat dropped and then turned to the field where both Sasuke and his opponent Shikamaru took their stances. Both were known for their smarts and intelligence in different fields and both were cherished and protected. Hayato blew the whistle and Sasuke threw a kunai that multiplied into ten as it flew towards Shikamaru. Nara used Kai to disperse the Genjutsu only to realize it was probably another seal created by Naruto and dodge. The young Nara cursed inside his head when he noticed that the kunai that landed in the place he was standing on was buried deep in the ground.

Shikamaru, "Another seal. What a drag!"

Sasuke smirked, "The others may underestimate you but I saw through your mask a long time ago."

Shikamaru raised an eyebrow, "Really well does not matter. I caught you."

Sasuke, "Did you now?"

Shikamaru grumbled when the clone dissipated leaving behind leaves and he looked around. Shikamaru sent his shadow underground to search for him but did not find him, which left only... Shikamaru jumped away as Sasuke punched the ground close to Shikamaru creating a crater. That had the whole stadium quieting down as the adults remembered a certain Iryō ninja. The Kazekage was quiet in his seat as he watched the young Uchiha go after Nara who had a serious look on his face.

Shikamaru, "Are you trying to kill me?"

Sasuke, "Don't be silly, dying is easy, living is more torturous."

Shikamaru, "What a drag! Here I thought only Naiko was terrifying, she has been teaching you."

Sasuke smirked, "I did not go through hell training and came out without learning something. Koko - tan would make it worse if that happened."

Shikamaru sighed, "This will just drag on then."

Sasuke, "What are you?"

Shikamaru raised his hand, "I forfeit, we are evenly matched."

Hayato nodded, "Uchiha Sasuke wins this round."

Sasuke deadpanned, "Really?"

Shikamaru shrugged, "Yeah, I would rather forfeit then face Naiko at the hospital. She is terrifying."

Sasuke laughed at him while Shikamaru grumbled under his breath about scary medics. Ino was not pleased however and started to berate Shikamaru for just leaving the fight so soon. Shikamaru shrugged and turned to the next pair which was Neji and Shino battling each other. It was an odd match up and just like him and Sasuke it would be a fight that dragged. At least till one of them forfeit or came up with a strategy to outsmart the other and win the match. Naruto was watching the matches very excitedly and cheering both Neji and Shino on.

Naruto, "They are really evenly matched."

Sasuke, "Yeah, they want to watch how we perform against those who are similar or stronger. Right now, they want to watch how we deal with the environment I think."

Kyoko, "It is more than that. They want to see if we are capable of making the right calls. It is similar to what Shikamaru - san did earlier."

Naruto nodded, "So like a judgement call sort of situation?"

Sasuke nodded, "Yeah, I understand why they are focusing on that. As a Chunin we will be doing a lot of missions and fulfilling responsibilities towards the village that requires our best judgement."

Naruto, "So this tournament is about that, not just strategy and skill."

Kyoko, "Which makes the finals harder as having powerful jutsus just won't be enough."

Temari who was behind them drawled, "Way to increase the morals guys. I just needed more pressure."

Kyoko laughed, "This is just the beginning, Mari - chan. Wait till you are an actual Chunin. You will have to deal with it everyday."

Gaara, "I think it's a good way to prepare."

Naruto, "Are you alright Gaara - nii?"

Gaara smiled, "I am fine. Just a few strange things happening at home."

Sasuke, "If you need anything."

Kankuro, "We will ask, don't worry."

Kyoko nodded turning back to the match which was over, "Neji won. Oh, he used honey to distract the hive."

Naruto grinned, "Can't believe he actually used an idea from school."

Sasuke, "Old is gold."
