Chapter 32
After she woke up Sakura did the most logical thing, she tried to strangle Naruto.
“what did you do to me?!”, she asks, squeezing Naruto’s neck hard enough for her knuckles to turn white, “and why aren’t you dying?!”.
“I undid the curse biding your bloodline”, Naruto answers, not bothered at all by the fact his teammate was trying to kill him, “also, physical damage nullification”.
“then why I have horns and an sharingan in my forehead?!”, she asks squeezing even harder.
“correction, what you have is a rinnesharingan”, Naruto explains, still unbothered, “as for the horns… not a clue”.
Sakura lets out an unholy screech as she changes from strangling to punching, letting out her anger.
“I don’t know why you are over reacting”, Naruto says.
“I have a fucking third eye in the middle of my forehead!!”, Sakura roars in anger.
Naruto, instead of arguing, simply decides to show her his third eye and Sakura as suck as everybody else is mesmerized by what looked like a swirling galaxy filled with colors smack dabbed on Naruto’s forehead.
“what in the actual hell is that thing?!”, Tsunade asks.
“it’s my inner mind’s eye”, Naruto explains, “it allows me to precisely pierce through the currents of the Stream to see the future and channelize the raw chaotic energy to do this…”.
Naruto turns his third eye to a nearby chair and shoot it with a bean of pure energy. The chair combusts into multicolored flames, but instead of burning to ashes, it morphs and changes and where it stood, now was a wooden sculpture of a capybara.
“the fuck was that?”, Mito the adult asks.
“that was blast of pure chaotic energy from the raw imaterium”, Naruto explains, closing his inner mind’s eye.
“ok, you have a funny third eye too”, Sakura says, calming down.
“that I do”, Naruto says.
Sakura plops on the couche of the beach house, trying to think what to do next.
“why me?”, she asks.
“is that rhetorical?”, Naruto asks.
Sakura takes a deep breath.
“no, I really want an explanation”, Sakura says between teeth, “why do I have horns and what exactly is a rinnesharingan?!”.
“for the later, the rinnesharingan is the doujutsu from where the sharingan and the rinnegan hail from”, Naruto explains, “you basically have the original doujutsu”.
“and the horns?”, Sakura asks.
“probably because you have Ootsusuki blood”, Naruto says, “no, scratch that, what you have is a reincanated soul of a ootsutsuki, so that’s why your bloodline was sealed”.
“and how exactly do you know that?”, Anko asks.
Naruto simply opens a smile and shows them another surprise as his eyes gain a special shine.
“the eyes of absolute truth, with then I can look at anything and know everything about it”, Naruto says as the shine disappears, “it gives me a nasty headache tough”.
“are you telling me you have the answer for all the questions in the universe and all you get in exchange is a head ache?!”, Kurenai asks in shock.
“yes”, Naruto says.
“are you serious?!”, Kurenai screams at Naruto, “you have the key to understanding the universe and all it costs you is a headache?!”.
“a nasty one”, Naruto says, noticing that his answer did not satisfied the women, “alight then, let’s make a deal, I’ll lend you one of my eyes with an aether charge so you can use it once, if you are able to endure the headache, the you can keep it, deal?”.
“deal”, Kurenai says.
Naruto gets up and puts his right hand over Kurenai’s right eye, while closing his own eye, when he opens his again, instead of a blue one was a red one.
“a warning tough”, Naruto says as Kurenai blinks repeatedly while getting used to the new eye, “just because it looks easy, doesn’t mean it is”.
Anko looks at him confused.
“what do…”, she starts saying, but it’s cut off by a blood curling screm coming from Kurenai, “Kure-chan!!”.
Kurenai upon activating the eye of absolute truth feels a crushing pain flooding her while body, but mainly her head as all her nerves flare up with the sudden intake of information about… everything.
The veins in her head, especially the ones around her eyes bulge and pulse as a the burning feeling of molten metal runs through them as she wiggles like a worm on the floor while foaming at the mouth.
“that’s what I meant”, Naruto says, casting healing and numbing spells to heal the woman while he undoes the eye trade, “when I use the eyes of absolute truth I’m constantly running pain numbing, healing and reinforcement spells. A mortal brain is not made to withstand so much info, thus, a nasty headache”.
“you could have just said it!”, Kurenai says, trying to recover her breath.
“I learned a long time ago that nobody takes an advice seriously unless they feel it on their skin”, Naruto says, “well, I’m not a completely asshole, so I’m forgiving your debts for all the trouble I’ve caused”.
He snaps his fingers and the mark on their necks vanish.
“now, back to the main topic”, Naruto says turning to Sakura.
“I need some time to process this”, Sakura says, sighing, “I’m tired”.
“take your time Sakura”, Naruto says, “when you feel comfortable, we’ll figure something out”.
After two days of pondering, Sakura accepts her predicament and goes back to training.
“now, since you now have enough chakra to put an Uzumaki to shame, you can use the mother of all cheats”, Naruto says, running his hands, “shadow clones!”.
Sakura, who was still a little down, brightens up immediately.
“ok, activate your rinnesharingan and do as I do”, Naruto says.
“do I have to?”, Sakura asks, the notion of an mythical doujutsu on her forehead still gives her the creeps.
“we are killing two birds with one stone here”, Naruto says, “I’m teaching you a jutsu and we are giving the first steps of getting you used to using your special eye”.
“ok”, Sakura says, opening her third eye and feeling some back lash as the world snaps into a crispy clarity she never tough possible, “gosh, I don’t think I will ever get used to this”.
“we’ll see to it, now are you ready?”, Naruto asks.
“yes”, Sakura says.
“nice, watch closely”, Naruto says, and does the hand sign for the shadow clone, “shadow clones jutsu!!”.
In a puff of smoke, two copies of himself appears.
“now, it’s your turn”, the three Narutos say at the same time.
“shadow clone justsu!!”, Sakura imitates what Naruto did and two clones of her appear, “woohoo! I did it!!”.
She jumps in happiness.
“good, I don’t doubt you brain, but we are going slowly”, Naruto says, “when a shadow close disperse you get it’s memories back, that can be overwhelming, so we are going to get you used to it slowly”.
“got it!”, the three Sakuras says in unison.
“good, send one of them to Tsunade and the other to Mito, the original come with me”, Naruto says.
“you’ve heard him”, Sakura says.
“sure boss”, the clones reply as they and Naruto’s clones walk out.
“so, what are we doing?”, Sakura asks.
“we are going to spar”, Naruto says, “shadow clones are great for info gathering and anything scholar, but they can’t take a beating”.
“oh boy”, Sakura says, “can you at least go easy on me?”.
“nope, also, we’ll be sparring with you rinneshringan activated since you need to get used to it”, Naruto says as he starts doing his stretches.
“shit”, Sakura says with sigh, “by the way, how am I going to hide this?”.
She points to her horns.
“we’ll work on something later”, Naruto says, “now, less talking and more stretching”.
Day in and day out, they train and relax, until they decide that it was time to go back to the real world.
“well, those were some nice vacations, but I better start training my team”, Kurenai says.
“and I’m going to look for a place, I don’t think we have any more excuses to crash at your place”, Anko says.
“I’m going to find Ino”, Sakura says, stretching herself, “I miss her”.
“I’m going to talk with Minato”, Tsunade says, “make sure all the legal paperwork is ok”.
“I have a shift at the hospital and I also have to make sure the place is up to scratch for the exam”, Shizune says.
“I have chores to attend”, Haku says.
“I’m going to grab some ramen”, both Mitos says.
“and I’m going to take a nap”, Naruto completes, “see you guys later”.
As the group spreads out, Naruto goes to his room to take a nap.
The week flies by and before they knew, it was exam day.
“so, Sakura, how’s the henge holding?”, Naruto asks.
“better than expected”, Sakura admits.
During their training, Naruto and the two Mitos come with an especial henge seal, the way it works is that it basically creates an illusion shell around the user and it comes with the neat function of allowing Sakura to user her rinnesharingan without from underneath it witouth revealing that she has it.
“nervous about the exam?”, Sakura asks, doing some breathing exercises to keep her nerves under control.
“not much”, Mito says cracking her neck, “I’m more apprehensive than anything”.
“me too”, Naruto adds, “I’ve been getting bad vibes ever since we came back”.
“what kind of bad vibes?”, Sakura asks.
“the kind that tell me something wicked this way comes”, Naruto completes, “but, it’s too early to surrender and to late prey, so let’s fucking go!!”.
“let’s fucking go!!”, Sakura and Mito add at the same time.
