Kyoko in Naruto Shippuden

Kyoko returned home feeling very excited about a new mystery in Konoha ⁽⁠⁽⁠ଘ⁠(⁠ ⁠ˊ⁠ᵕ⁠ˋ⁠ ⁠)⁠ଓ⁠⁾⁠⁾, "New mystery ~ New mystery ~ I am going to have a lot of fun."

Kakashi snorted watching her antics over his book, "Only you would be excited about this."

Kyoko (⁠人⁠ ⁠•͈⁠ᴗ⁠•͈⁠), "Hey, hey, Kakashi - Sensei, do you think someone might try to use my body in the future after I have moved on from living?"

Kakashi gave her a ಠ⁠‿⁠ಠ look, "I most certainly hope not. You would no doubt find a way to run amuck and create more chaos than whoever summoned you."

Kyoko ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ ͡⁠°⁠ ͜⁠ʖ⁠ ͡⁠°⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯, "Caught me red handed."

Kakashi shook his head holding back his laugh, "I would most likely be gone before you so who knows. I certainly hope the future shinobi will respect the dead more than the predecessors."

Kyoko turned to him, "Why don't you join us for dinner? It is late."

Kakashi hummed looking at the clock installed on the Hokage tower, "I still have an S - rank ANBU mission to go on."

Kyoko grinned, "Well, you need all the strength you can get. Do not think I do not know that you don't sleep during these missions."

Kakashi sweat dropped as he turned a page, "Ah! You found out?"

Kyoko gave him a look this time, "Sasuke was frothing at his mouth while swearing up and down about how he will be getting you grounded in Konoha."

Kakashi hid his face behind his book, "Maa! How dramatic!"

Kyoko chuckled, "Come on! If you eat then, at least Sasuke will not ream you over it."

Naruto, "Nee - chan, Kakashi - Sensei, welcome back."

Yume, "Koko - tan, are you alright?"

Tachiba, "We were worried."

Kyoko, "I am alright. See?"

Naruto, "You look really excited though."

Kyoko grinned, "I have been authorized with a new mystery to solve."

Kakashi, "And I was dragged into a dinner with you all. I apologize for the intrusion."

Tachiba shook his head, "Oh no! You are always welcome Kakashi - Senpai. After all you have been taking care of our daughter all this time. You are always welcome here."

Kakashi, "I try my best."

Naruto, "Nee - chan, Sasuke had the night shift so he just left. It will just be us tonight."

Kyoko, "Konohamaru - kun did not complain about you not having dinner with him?"

Naruto, "He is on a C - rank mission to Suna and will not be back till, I think tomorrow night."

Kyoko, "Ah! Suna is a safe place for our Genin, thanks to Gaara and his siblings."

Naruto, "I also heard the Mizukage of Mist village is coming in two weeks."

Kyoko looked interested now, "Huh? Really? So the rumours about them going around to better their relations are true."

Naruto then informed her, "Nee - chan, the Mizukage asked for your presence."

Kakashi was surprised, "What? I was not informed about this."

Naruto shrugged, "Tsunade baa - chan just informed me before I came. It was a request from her Head Security."

Kyoko, "Her Head Security? Don't tell me, Zabuza - san."

Naruto, "Either him or the ice user, I think his name is Momoichi Haku?"

Tachiba, "I have heard about them."

Yume, "The Yuki - Onna of the Mist."

Kakashi, "To be fair, there are a lot of rumours coming from Mist lately. One of them includes the Jinchuriki being under someone's mind control."

Naruto, "So many mysteries lately."

Yume, "Just promise me you will be careful Koko - tan, you too, Naru - chan."

Kyoko, "Yes mama. I will stay safe."

Naruto, "Don't worry, Yume Obaa - chan. I will be careful. Besides when I was traveling with Ero - Sannin I met with Zabuza a few times. He asked about Nee - chan one time and another time about Kakashi - Sensei."

Kakashi, "I see."

Kyoko, "Sounds like he is doing well to me. I am glad."

The dinner was peaceful, well as peaceful as it could be for Kakashi with two very clingy students. Kakashi would never admit it out loud but he was happy about the fact his pups wanted him to stay with them. It was a pity this mission was very important to Konoha as there was an important deal that could increase the income of Konoha. Kakashi put on his ANBU mask which was an Okami mask, especially after his Inu mask had been destroyed. Kakashi could admit to being careless but hey, no one could claim he did not care about his pups. Not to forget he even reminded Orochimaru exactly why the Hatake clan members were feared by everyone.

Okami, "Ready Weasel, Otter?"

Weasel, "I am surprised your pups let you go."

Okami chuckled, "They may be pups but they know when to cling and when to let go."

Otter laughed, "Hmm... I might consider getting a team myself after returning from this mission. Truly, the Jounins who got teams in Naruto's generation are lucky."

Okami chuckled, "Perhaps we were but I would not change anything for the world."

While the three ANBU were off on their mission which would last for a week, Sasuke, Naruto and Kyoko were busy checking on Gaara and the new Shukaku. Gaara was doing well, thankfully and the young one tailed was a very sleepy child for a chakra beast. Gaara was not complaining however and named the little one Kamaru after his mother and Uncle who loved him gave their lives for him. The three of them honestly thought it was a very adorable and sweet idea and even the Kyuubi seemed very taken by the little one. Temari and Kankuro were already gushing over the little cub and claiming the little one to be Gaara's kid. It caused the Suns Elder's a lot of consternation and Gaara was not even denying it and not was he fighting against it.

Kyoko, "Kyuubi, what does this mean for the rest of the chakra beast?"

Kyuubi, "Honestly this means a lot of things."

Naruto, "Like?"

Kyuubi looked at the moon, "It could mean the time for my siblings and I are coming to an end."

Sasuke, "Kyuubi, you are not... "

Kyuubi, "Oh no! Not yet, I will live for a few more decades before I decide to probably have a kit."

Kyoko smiled, "I am sure your kit will be really adorable."

Kyuubi, "I certainly hope so."

Naruto, "How is your investigation going nee - chan?"

Kyoko, "About that... I think we are going to need your services."

Sasuke sat up, "You are not doing anything dangerous, are you?"

Kyoko shook her head, "No, no, nothing like that. It's just that Danzo had more sealed chambers than we had originally thought."

Naruto scowled, "That is the bastard that killed Biwako baa - chan and broke Jii - chan's heart."

Sasuke, "He also tried to keep your Jii - chan from adopting you."

Kyoko nodded, "Yeah, and now more secrets came out. Truly, secrets can be really terrifying."

Sasuke, "Hey, Koko - tan."

Kyoko, "What's up?"

Sasuke, "A few days after we returned I asked my Dad if any bodies of any Uchiha were missing."

Naruto, "I thought you guys cremated them and then planted trees using their ashes?"

Sasuke, "Normally yes, that is what we do but there is one body we never got back during the war. Uchiha Obito was his name, he was in Kakashi - Sensei's team and he was killed in action."

Kyoko, "Ah! That explains a few things about Sensei."

Naruto spoke quietly, "I do not know what I would do if you guys died on me. Sensei is strong, isn't he?"

Kyoko nodded, "Yes, he is."

Kyuubi puffed curling his long tails around them, "He is a Hatake. It is rumored that their clan is descended from the Wolf demons of the old."

Sasuke, "When you say old, do you mean?"

Kyuubi, "Older than me? Yes, indeed."

Naruto, "Woah! We really are his pups as he says."

Kyoko giggled, "Yeah. I should get some sleep now. I promised Ino - san, I would meet up with her early."

Naruto, "Do you want me to tag along?"

Kyoko, "Yes please, the seal on Danzo's door is really irritating me at this point. I just want to flatten his place instead of searching through it."

Sasuke pats her head, "You are working really hard. Don't give up."

Kyoko, "Thanks Sasuke."

The next day Sasuke left the Uchiha compound early with Naruto and Kyoko before heading to the hospital while the other two headed to the seal site. Danzo's compound was a pretty large place though it had been divided into a park, warehouse and shopping district by now. There were still many sections underground especially under the forest that easily fell under his compound. The rooms they were required to check were underground which was a real headache because everyone honestly thought the tunnels running under Konoha were the only secrets. Naruto looked at the seal with a dark expression which had Kyoko worried about what might be hidden behind it.

Ino, "Kyoko - chan, Naruto - kun."

Kyoko, "Good morning everyone."

Shikamaru, "Anything?"

Naruto, "This is a very old seal and whatever is hidden behind this must be very important."

Chouji nodded, "There are two more chambers with the seals."

Ino, "Can we open it?"

Naruto, "Yes, just give me an hour to make sure there are no traps behind this seal."

Shikamaru, "Right! Hey Kyoko, a word with you."

Kyoko, "Sure."

Shikamaru walked a bit further before speaking, "Temari told me the baby Shukaku left behind is going to be the new beast of Suna. But, she was very worried about Gaara."

Kyoko nodded, "That is understandable. We talked last night with Kyuubi about it and I can confidently say he will be alright."

Shikamaru, "Really?"

Kyoko smiled, "Gaara is a lot stronger than he looks. Also the young Shukaku is well, I do not want to call them a replacement. Little Shukaku is a very powerful baby despite just being born."

Shikamaru looked back at Naruto who was now working on the seal, "I am actually planning on escorting Kankuro next week when he is joining the talks."

Kyoko raised her left eyebrow, "Oh? Suna decided to have peaceful relations with Mist too."

Shikamaru snorted amused, "Pretty sure, it is mainly because Kyuubi snitched to Gaara through the little one. So, they are sending Kankuro to make sure you are alright."

Kyoko, "So, you heard about their demand?"

Shikamaru, "Pretty sure everyone knows about it."

Kyoko took out a wrapped packet giving it to the Nara, "Here."

Shikamaru eyed it, "What is this?"

Kyoko gave him her patented Doctor look, "I have been observing the laziness or rather the exhaustion the Nara clan is cursed with."

Shikamaru felt a little uncomfortable, "Oh?"

Kyoko pointed at the packet, "That is concentrated sugar candy. It has been on my mind for a while now. Sugar is energy so, I figured I would create a candy to help out with the exhaustion."

Shikamaru hummed biting down on it only to raise his eyebrow, "This thing is rock solid. Rock candy huh? I will admit I do feel less lethargic with this, though not completely."

Kyoko huffed, "It is supposed to help a bit, it's not a miracle drug, it's just sugar. I am guessing your body's metabolism is pretty high and absorbs the sugar quickly."

Shikamaru, "In a nutshell, yes."

Naruto shouted, "I got it!"

Ino, "Awesome!"

Chouji, "Hey, Shika - kun, Kyoko - chan, come on. We got this."

Kyoko, "Ara ~ It's not even lunch time yet and you figured it out. You are getting faster at this Ruru."

Naruto (⁠✿⁠^⁠‿⁠^⁠), "I plan on surpassing Ero - Sannin, mom and dad when it comes to sealing. This is nothing."

Shikamaru, "Your father and mother, the Yondaime and the Uzumaki Princess who taught him. I admit they are good goals."

Chouji, "Guys, you might want to see this."

Kyoko, 'This is unbelievable.'

Shikamaru, "What in the?"

Naruto, "Nee - chan?"

Ino's pale face became more pale, "These tubes have human fetuses in them."

Kyoko looked through some papers on the drawer, "According to this, this place was the first lab to recreate the Shodaime and the Nidaime's kin."

Shikamaru rubbed his forehead feeling a headache forming, "Let me guess they would become mindless weapons for Danzo's secret army."

Naruto, "Tsunade baa - chan is going to hate this."

Chouji, "I would not blame her for it either."

Ino sighed at that, "We should inform Godaime - sama about this slight to her clan."

Shikamaru, "Naruto you are in charge, you may not be a Senju directly but considering the fact Uzumaki and Senju are connected through marriage you have a higher say on this."

Naruto looked around and nodded, "Right, thanks."

Ino, "We will send a heads up to the Hokage."

Naruto noticed Kyoko was staring at a tube, "Nee - chan?"

Kyoko spoke slowly, "Naruto, one of them is an Uzumaki, to be more specific she is Uzumaki Mito's kin. It's this one."

Naruto had a dark expression on his face before it disappeared, "I see. I got it, nee - chan. Ino just sent a message hawk to get the Godaime. She will be here soon."

Ino, 'Oooh! Naruto - kun used her title.'

Chouji, 'He is pissed.'

Shikamaru sighed, 'It's not even lunch time.'
