Friends or Foes?
All the young Genin in the classroom wait for Iruka-Sensei by chatting in their respective cliques. Unlike Vernsuke and Sasuke, who were sitting together unbothered; Vernsuke was leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed behind his head and his feet perched on the desk, while Sasuke had his hands knotted together with his head resting on them.
Suddenly, one of their classmates, Sakura rushed to Sasuke after noticing him. She started fidgeting with her dress, "um, can I sit next to you, Sasuke-kun?" she asked timidly.
Another classmate, ino this time, butts in, "How about me, Sasuke-kun? Can I sit next to you instead of Sakura?" Ino glares at Sakura covertly. Other female peers notice their interaction and start joining in, asking Sasuke to sit next to him.
Vernsuke scoffs and stands up from his seat while shaking his bangs, "Ladies, ladies, there's enough Vernsuke and Sasuke to go around."
All the girls look over to Vernsuke confused and then start blushing. They all start yelling at Vernsuke to be quiet and that they weren't talking about him. However, the roasting is cut short when everyone notices that the class priah managed to sneak ontop of Sasuke's desk.
Naruto had been crouched down to eye level with Sasuke, glaring at him for stealing all the attention. Sasuke was glaring back, but Vernsuke was looking between the two of them; he was confused with the sudden rise in (homosexual) tension.
Some nobody then bumps into Naruto while walking by, causing him to fall onto Sasuke. But something was wrong, Sasuke looked disgusted as he saw that he and Naruto's lips were pressed together.
Everyone freezes until Vernsuke lets out a "woah" and all hell was broken loose.
All the girls who were fighting for Sasuke's attention direct their anger to Naruto as he was the one who stole Sasuke's first kiss.
Sasuke is too busy wiping his lips in disgust to notice Naruto being plummeted by their class's female population.
Vernsuke continues looking at Sasuke and shakes his bangs, this time with a nonchalant look on his face, "So... Is there something you wanna tell me Cuz'?"
Sasuke whips his head to Vernsuke, "Be quiet, that was only an accident and you know that!" Sasuke chides.
Vernsuke nods, "uh huh..."
After the chaos had quieted down,
Iruka-Sensei enters the classroom and tells the newly made Genin to take a seat. He clears his throat before speaking once again, "Now, I'm sure as you all know, you will all be entering the next step to becoming a shinobi." He explains, "You will do this by being split into balanced teams of three based on you abilities while you are also led by a Jōnin instructor. The instructor will help you train to become stronger Shinobi and accompany you all on missions of differentiating ranks."
Iruka-Sensei then divides everyone into their selective teams, "Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto, you three will be on team 7." Naruto shoots up from his seat, "Hey! Why do I have to be put on the same team as big bangs?!"
Iruka-Sensei groans internally, "That's because Sasuke has the highest grades while you have the lowest. Again, these teams are meant to balance each other. Also, sit back down and lower your voice!"
Naruto grumbles and sinks back down into his seat.
Iruka-Sensei continues to list off the teams and their respective members. The only one without a team was Vernsuke, who made this fact quite known, "Hey! What about me?" Vernsuke whined.
Iruka-Sensei looked to Vernsuke, "Don't worry, Vernsuke, you'll just rotate between teams."
Vernsuke calmed down and smirked knowingly, thinking about how special he was.
After the orientation, Vernsuke and Sasuke returned to their shared apartment room. Currently, Vernsuke was laying side-ways next to their dining table while reading the latest edition of Konoha's Young Shinobi 10 Magazine.
Sasuke, on the other hand, was eating microwaved curry for lunch and listening to the radio. Sasuke stopped eating and looked towards the open window, Vernsuke shifted his gaze to Sasuke for a moment, "What's wrong?"
At the blink of an eye, Naruto leaped through the window with arms outstretched to attack Sasuke. Sasuke had dodged Naruto's feeble attempted at an ambush and quickly punched Naruto back outside while he was down.
Vernsuke watched as Sasuke followed Naruto outside and onto the roof below. He scrambled to the window sill, Magazine still in hand, and watched them fight for about 10 seconds before going back to reading.
In a short amount of time, Sasuke had Naruto bound and gagged right below his foot, "Good job, Sasuke." Vernsuke yelled from the apartment room, eyes still fixed on the magazine. He didn't notice when Naruto's clone disseapered beneath Sasuke, the real one attacking him from behind.
Vernsuke looked back to Sasuke, only to another Sasuke standing above an unconscious one. He watches as the fake Sasuke runs off to who knows where, then jumps down to the real Sasuke. Vernsuke shakes Sasuke awake while crounched down to his side, "Sasuke, wake up!" he whisper shouts.
Sasuke shakes his head and sits up, "ugh... What's happening?"
Vernsuke shrugged, "I think your boy crush is going to try to get with one of the girls who have a crush on you." he theorizes.
Sasuke looks bewildered, "What?! That little..." Sasuke grumbles and storms off.
Vernsuke quickly gets up and follows him, "Wait up, Cuz'! I'm coming to emotionally support you or something!"
Vernsuke followed Sasuke; However, he also stayed a safe distance away from the clone hijinks occurring between the newly formed team 7. Afterwards, Vernsuke dragged Sasuke home and proceeded to end the day by talking about their potential Jōnin instructor.
