Yo welcome back to another installment into The Naruto Uchiha Series. This was voing to be a one shot that would focus on how The Uchiha Resentment begins. However after like 20k words i figured id divide it into chapters. For sanity reasons. The idea came from a user who PM'd me about how Minato and Akane even ended up together verses Kushina and Minato. So, instead of just writing that user a BS answer, ill write a one shot instead. Anyways the main character is Naruto Uchiha's mother and father. There is a lot to cover, so expect numerous time skips until we get to Naruto's birth. Welcome to the Prequel! Enjoy the Read

The Uchiha Rebellion

Chapter 1: The Prelude

An installment to The Uchiha Resentment

The sun shone brightly over Konoha as the gentle breeze rustled the leaves in the towering trees. The village was peaceful, and laughter echoed from the training fields as students from the Academy bustled through the hallways, preparing for another day of lessons.

Inside one of the larger classrooms, Minato Namikaze sat near the back, his bright blue eyes scanning the room as he absentmindedly twirled a kunai between his fingers. His golden hair caught the sunlight streaming through the window, casting a warm glow around him. Next to him, his best friend, Kushina Uzumaki, was already cracking jokes, his red hair a sharp contrast to Minato’s.

The Academy was filled with promising students from the most prestigious clans in Konoha. Today, their instructor, Aoki Sensei, a strict but fair teacher known for his no-nonsense approach, was finalizing the class pairings for the day's training exercise.

"Alright, class," Aoki Sensei’s voice rang out, snapping Minato’s attention forward. He was a middle-aged shinobi with short, graying hair and a scar running across his jawline, a testament to the battles he had fought. "Today’s lesson is about teamwork. Shinobi must learn to rely on each other, to strengthen one another. You will work in pairs for the exercise."

Minato exchanged a quick glance with Kushin, the two sharing a smile as they imagined being paired together, as always. The thought of working with anyone else barely crossed Minato’s mind.

But Aoki Sensei had other plans. "Minato Namikaze," he called out, scanning the class list. "You’ll be paired with Akane Uchiha."

Minato blinked, slightly taken aback. Akane Uchiha? His gaze moved across the room until it landed on a girl sitting near the window, her long black hair tied back neatly, her dark eyes sharp and focused. Akane was a member of the prestigious Uchiha clan—known for their Sharingan and strict traditions. She was quiet, always keeping to herself during lessons, rarely engaging with anyone beyond her own clan.

Minato had seen her spar a few times, and she was undeniably talented, but they had barely spoken before. He wasn’t sure how this partnership would go.

Next, Aoki Sensei’s voice called out, “Kushina Uzumaki, you’ll be paired with Akimitsu Senju.”

Kushina groaned dramatically, slumping over his desk. "Aw man, no fair! I wanted to work with Minato!"

Minato chuckled softly, though his mind was already turning back to Akane, who hadn’t yet reacted to their pairing. As the rest of the pairs were called out—Hiashi and Hizashi Hyuga, Shukaku Nara with Choza Akimichi, Inochi Yamanaka with Tsume Inuzuka, and Shibi Aburame with another student—Minato stood up, glancing toward Akane.

Aoki Sensei clapped his hands, signaling the students to gather with their assigned partners. “Get to know your teammate. You’ll need to understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses to succeed in today’s task.”

Minato took a breath, his easygoing smile never wavering as he walked over to where Akane sat. “Looks like we’re partners,” he said, offering her a friendly nod. “Minato Namikaze.”

Akane glanced up, her dark eyes meeting his with an intensity that caught him off guard. She studied him for a moment, as if sizing him up, before giving a short nod in return. “Akane Uchiha.”

Her voice was calm, quiet, but there was a strength beneath the surface, like a blade concealed in silk.

Minato scratched the back of his head, trying to break the ice. “Guess we’ll need to figure out how to work together for this exercise, huh?”

Akane stood up smoothly, her movements precise. “As long as you can keep up, this should be fine,” she said, her tone neither mocking nor friendly—just matter-of-fact.

Minato blinked, then chuckled softly. “I’ll do my best.”

Before they could speak further, Aoki Sensei announced the details of the training exercise. "You and your partner will be navigating through the forest surrounding Konoha. Your task is to retrieve a scroll hidden in one of the clearing areas, but be warned—there are traps. Work together, use your skills wisely, and return with the scroll."

Minato’s mind immediately shifted to strategy, but he was curious about how Akane would approach the task. She was notoriously talented, even at such a young age. He had heard the rumors—the way she trained with her Sharingan, how her father had high expectations of her. But rumors didn’t tell him how she fought or how she worked with others.

As the pairs began moving toward the training grounds, Minato found himself walking beside Akane. The tension between them was subtle, not uncomfortable, but there was a distance he could feel. He didn’t know if it was because she was an Uchiha or because she kept herself isolated from the rest of the class.

Kushina, who was walking ahead with Akimitsu, called back with a grin, “Don’t get lost, Minato! You’re not gonna beat us to that scroll!”

Minato laughed. “We’ll see about that!”

Akane said nothing, her eyes scanning the path ahead as they approached the edge of the training field. “Do you have a plan, or are you just going to wing it?” she asked, her voice even.

Minato raised an eyebrow, surprised she was initiating the strategy conversation. “I was thinking we could split the work—I'll focus on avoiding or disarming the traps, and you can use your Sharingan to find the best path forward.”

Akane nodded, her expression unreadable. “That works.”

And with that, they moved into the forest, the task ahead of them.

The thick canopy of the forest cast a mottled pattern of light and shadow on the forest floor as Akane and Minato moved swiftly through the trees. The sounds of their classmates faded into the background as they ventured deeper into the training grounds, the path ahead seemingly quiet and undisturbed.

Minato kept a steady pace beside Akane, his eyes scanning their surroundings. The atmosphere between them was still tense, but there was an unspoken understanding—they needed to complete the mission and work together, regardless of their differences. Minato kept his senses alert, knowing that Aoki Sensei’s traps were always well-hidden, and something about this mission felt more challenging than usual.

Akane, focused and sharp, took the lead, her eyes narrowing as she studied the landscape. She activated her Sharingan, the world around her sharpening in detail as the bloodline limit allowed her to see the subtleties in the terrain. Her movements were precise, her posture steady as they navigated the winding path through the forest.

“I think we’re close,” she said quietly, her tone confident but guarded.

Minato nodded, trusting her instincts. As they continued forward, a faint glint of metal caught the edge of his vision. He reacted instinctively, grabbing Akane’s arm and pulling her back just as a thin wire snapped under the pressure of her next step.

“Wait—” Minato started, but before he could finish, the ground beneath Akane gave way.

Her eyes widened in shock as the trap activated, and she fell into a deep pit that had been expertly hidden beneath the forest floor. She landed with a thud, a cloud of dirt and leaves rising around her as she hit the bottom of the pit, her Sharingan deactivating in the sudden chaos.

Minato knelt by the edge of the pit, his heart pounding. “Akane! Are you okay?”

Akane, flustered and disoriented, quickly scrambled to her feet. She looked up at him, her pride clearly wounded. “I’m fine,” she muttered, brushing dirt from her clothes. But the faint flush of embarrassment was unmistakable. How had she, an Uchiha with a fully activated Sharingan, fallen into such a simple trap?

Minato extended his hand, his expression calm and reassuring. “Here, let me help you.”

Akane hesitated for a split second, her pride battling with her situation, but eventually, she reached up and took his hand. Minato pulled her out of the pit with ease, his grip strong but gentle. Once she was safely back on solid ground, she quickly dusted herself off, her expression carefully neutral.

“I should have seen that,” she admitted, her voice tight with frustration. She hated feeling vulnerable, especially in front of someone like Minato, who always seemed so… perfect.

Minato shook his head, giving her a small smile. “It happens to all of us. The important thing is that we keep moving forward.”

Akane nodded, though she didn’t respond verbally. The moment of vulnerability passed quickly, and she refocused her attention on the task at hand. “Let’s go,” she said, her voice regaining its usual calmness.

The pair continued deeper into the forest, more cautious now, and eventually, they found the clearing where the scroll was supposed to be hidden. The area was eerily quiet, the only sound the rustling of leaves in the wind. In the center of the clearing sat a small stone pedestal, and on top of it lay the scroll—completely unguarded.

Akane narrowed her eyes, her Sharingan scanning the area. “This feels… too easy,” she muttered.

Minato nodded in agreement, his hand hovering near his kunai pouch. “Yeah, something’s off. But we have to get the scroll.”

After a brief pause, Minato took a step forward, cautiously approaching the pedestal. He kept his senses on high alert, ready for anything. As he reached out to take the scroll, the air around them shifted—a sudden, sharp presence that sent a chill down his spine.

Before he could react, a figure appeared out of nowhere, moving with blinding speed. An Anbu member, masked and cloaked, lunged at Minato, his blade aimed directly at his chest.

“Minato!” Akane shouted, her Sharingan flaring to life.

Minato barely managed to dodge the initial strike, rolling to the side and drawing his kunai in a single, fluid motion. The Anbu member’s movements were impossibly fast, and Minato knew this wasn’t a normal training exercise. This was a test—one far more dangerous than he’d anticipated.

Akane joined the fray without hesitation, her Sharingan tracking the Anbu’s every movement. She darted toward their attacker, her own kunai clashing against his blade in a shower of sparks. The force of the impact sent a shockwave through the clearing.

The fight was intense, with the Anbu member moving faster than either of them could have expected. Minato and Akane worked in tandem, their movements synchronized despite the short time they had been partners. Minato used his agility and quick thinking to outmaneuver their opponent, while Akane’s Sharingan allowed her to anticipate the Anbu’s strikes.

But the Anbu member was relentless.

In a flash, the Anbu broke through their defense, turning his attention to Akane. His blade glinted in the sunlight as he lunged toward her, his speed too fast for her to dodge in time.

Akane’s eyes widened, her body tensing as she realized she couldn’t move fast enough to avoid the blow. But before the blade could reach her, Minato was there, throwing himself in front of her. The blade sliced through his shoulder, blood splattering across the ground as he took the hit meant for her.

“Minato!” Akane gasped, her heart racing.

Minato gritted his teeth, pain shooting through his body, but he stayed on his feet. “I’m fine,” he managed, his voice strained. “Finish him.”

Akane’s eyes narrowed, her Sharingan blazing with renewed intensity. With a quick, fluid motion, she leapt toward the Anbu, her kunai flashing in the sunlight. This time, her movements were precise, calculated—each strike landing exactly where she intended.

In a final clash, Akane disarmed the Anbu, her kunai pressing against his throat. The Anbu member froze, his body tense as Akane stood over him, victorious.

For a moment, there was only the sound of their heavy breathing, the tension hanging in the air.

Then, the Anbu member raised his hands in surrender, his mission complete. “Well done,” he said, his voice muffled behind the mask. “You passed the test.”

Akane lowered her weapon, her chest still heaving from the exertion of the fight. She glanced over at Minato, who was clutching his bleeding shoulder but wearing that same calm, reassuring smile.

“You saved me,” Akane said quietly, her voice filled with a mix of surprise and something else she couldn’t quite place.

Minato chuckled softly, wincing at the pain in his shoulder. “That’s what teammates do, right?”

For the first time, Akane looked at Minato not as the golden boy of the Academy, but as someone she could rely on. Someone who had risked his life for her, without hesitation. And in that moment, her view of him began to shift.

The sun was beginning to set over Konoha, casting a golden hue across the village as the students from the Academy returned from the forest. There was a collective buzz of excitement and relief as each team completed the training exercise, the thrill of their success still fresh in their minds.

As Minato, Akane, and the others made their way back to the Academy grounds, Aoki Sensei stood at the entrance, waiting to greet them. His expression was calm, but there was a glint of approval in his eyes as he watched his students approach.

“Well done, all of you,” Aoki Sensei said, his voice carrying a rare note of praise. “You’ve proven today that you can work together under pressure. This is what being a shinobi is all about—trusting your teammates, no matter the circumstances.”

Minato smiled at the praise, though he was more focused on the quiet presence beside him. Akane hadn’t said much since their encounter with the Anbu member, but there was a subtle shift in her demeanor—one that Minato couldn’t quite place. He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, wondering if she was still thinking about what had happened in the forest.

“Alright, you’re all dismissed for the day,” Aoki Sensei continued, waving a hand. “Go get some rest. You’ll need it for tomorrow.”

The students dispersed in small groups, their conversations lively as they began discussing the events of the day. Minato, however, lingered for a moment, watching as Akane prepared to leave on her own. Gathering his courage, he took a deep breath and jogged up to her.

“Hey, Akane,” Minato called out, his voice friendly but a little uncertain.

Akane stopped, turning to face him. Her expression was neutral, but there was a hint of curiosity in her eyes.

Minato scratched the back of his head, suddenly feeling a little awkward. “I was thinking… we did a pretty good job today. Maybe we should celebrate? You know, grab something to eat.”

For a brief second, Akane’s calm demeanor faltered. Her cheeks flushed ever so slightly, and her gaze flickered away from his as if the suggestion had caught her off guard. *Was Minato asking her out?*

Before she could respond, a familiar voice interrupted.

“Minato!” Kushina Uzumaki’s bright, energetic voice cut through the air as she bounded up to them, a wide grin plastered on her face. Her red hair swayed with each step, and her eyes sparkled with mischief. “What’s taking you so long? We’re all headed to Ichiraku for ramen! You coming or what?”

Minato blinked, momentarily thrown off by Kushina’s sudden appearance. He turned to face her with a sheepish smile. “Oh, right. Yeah, I’m coming.”

Kushina glanced over at Akane, her grin widening as she took in the sight of the Uchiha girl standing beside Minato. “You should come too, Akane! You’ve gotta try the ramen—it’s the best in Konoha!”

Akane, still recovering from the unexpected suggestion from Minato, hesitated for a moment. She wasn’t used to being included in social outings like this, and her instinct was to decline. But as she looked at Minato, who was waiting expectantly, and Kushina, whose energy was contagious, something inside her shifted.

“Alright,” Akane said, her voice quieter than usual. “I’ll come.”

Minato’s smile brightened, and he nodded in approval. “Great! Let’s go.”

With that, the three of them—Minato, Akane, and Kushina—headed toward the bustling streets of Konoha, where the rest of their classmates were already making their way to Ichiraku Ramen. As they walked, Akane couldn’t help but feel a strange warmth settle in her chest. For the first time in a long while, she didn’t feel like an outsider.

Like I said, originally this was going to be a massive one shot, but after 20k words and rereading it, i dont have the attention span for it, so i wouldnt make you all suffer either. So i just broke it all up into short chapters. Anyways the story is fully uploaded and completed. I do hope you enjoy it. And maybe youll find a character you hate more than Danzo in this story.
