Chapter 14: Found a Lead

Itachi had been searching tirelessly for weeks, following any whisper or clue that might lead him to Sasuke. He’d heard rumors about a mysterious portal deep in the Land of Fire, near the Rice Fields, where those desperate for power could enter another world. A world that seemed to call to the most ambitious, the most reckless. His heart pounded in his chest when he heard the final part of the rumor: Sasuke and his strange companions were said to have traveled in that direction.

He wasn’t sure what to make of it, but there was only one thing Itachi knew for certain—he had to follow the trail, no matter how dangerous. His brother had disappeared, and now he was about to plunge into the unknown. Itachi couldn’t afford to second-guess himself now.

The cave was hidden away, tucked behind overgrown vines and lost beneath the weight of time. Itachi stood in the dark, cool air, scanning the area with the precision only a Sharingan could provide. He had reached the spot, but there was no sign of any portal—nothing that screamed otherworldly.

At first, Itachi thought he was mistaken. But then, his eyes caught something—a faint shimmer in the air, a distortion only visible when he activated his Sharingan. A ripple, like a veil between two worlds.

He stepped forward cautiously, his senses alert. The ground beneath his feet felt solid, but something in the air felt different. As his foot crossed the threshold, the world around him seemed to flicker, and in the blink of an eye, everything shifted.

Itachi stumbled, feeling a strange disorientation as his surroundings morphed into something completely alien. Gone were the familiar sights of the Land of Fire—the fields, the trees, the mountains. In their place were towering metal structures that stretched impossibly high into the sky. Bright lights blinked all around him, casting an unnatural glow on the streets below.

Cars sped by—things faster than any carriage he had ever seen, the sounds of the engines rumbling in the air, unlike anything from his world. People moved in strange clothing, their voices overlapping with the sounds of the city.

Everything felt... wrong. Unnatural.

Itachi stood in the middle of a bustling street, his eyes wide with disbelief. His Sharingan was still active, scanning the unfamiliar environment, taking in every detail. He had stepped into another world—a world unlike anything he had ever imagined.

This was not the world he knew. This was a future, a strange dimension that stretched beyond his comprehension. The structures above him seemed to pierce the clouds, the sky glowing a strange blue hue. The air smelled different, thick with the scent of machinery and technology.

And yet, despite the overwhelming unfamiliarity, there was one thing that anchored Itachi’s focus—his brother. Sasuke was somewhere here. He had to be. Sasuke and his companions had entered this world, and Itachi had followed.

Itachi took a deep breath, pushing his confusion aside. His heart pounded, but his resolve was unshakable. Sasuke was here, and he would find him. No matter how alien this world felt, no matter how impossible it seemed, he would bring Sasuke back.

He began to walk through the streets, his senses heightened, his Sharingan flashing occasionally to pick out any trace of his brother. But as he walked further into this bizarre city, one thing became painfully clear—this was a world of confusion and chaos, a world where his usual methods of tracking would be useless.

But that didn’t matter. Sasuke had always been the most important thing to him. Itachi had made countless sacrifices for his brother’s well-being, and he would continue to do so, no matter the cost.

He gritted his teeth and moved forward, determined to search every corner of this strange world until he found Sasuke—no matter the obstacles in his way.
