The Beginning of Something New
Night of the Kyuubi Attack
Every thing had gone as it was supposed to... at least, until right before the night had ended.
The Third Hokage in his black battle armor along with some Anbus were right outside of the chain dome that Kushina had made.
”What sould we do Lord Hokage? We can’t get through!”
”Unfortunately we must wait! Kushina has most likely set up these chains and amplified the chakra absorption properties of them. We must wait until she drops th-“ Right before Hiruzen could finish his sentence the dome made up of chakra chains started to drop. “Anbu! Quickly follow me!”
Hiruzen and the quickly rush towards were Minato and Kushina were most likely located, as he had seem the Kyuubi suddenly disappear. As he approaches the clearing that them were at, they spot Minato dead with a hole through his stomach before noticing Kushina with the same hole, close to an alter. Upon a closer inspection, Hiruzen sees a baby on the alter and tells one of the anbu to grab the child and for the rest to secure the perimeter while he checked on Kushina.
”Kushina! Are you alright? Can you hear me?”
”H-hiruzen?” She responded in a weak and quiet voice.
”My son... w-where’s my son?”
“I’ve got him ma’am” The anbu runs up to them with the young baby in his arms.
”Good.” She turns to Hiruzen, “Please, promise me that you’ll *cough* p-protect him”
Hiruzen solemnly nods, “O promise I’ll do all that I can to protect him, what is his name?”
”Naruto. Uzumaki, Naruto.”
”I will protect young Naruto.”
”Make sure to tell him *cough* at least of his Uzumaki decent.”
”I will.”
”Good...” Kushina then turns to her son, and seems to block out everything around her. “Make sure you you become nice and strong and *cough* and remember my love will always be with you...” She then cups her hands to heart.
Hiruzen becomes greatly confused by this action. “Kushina what are you-“ Before he can finish a series of gasps and groans came from Kushina that Hiruzen instantly recognized as the same sounds you would hear when removing a kunai from someone’s chest. But then, a ball made from chains suddenly appeared out of her chest. “My love will always be with you, Naruto...”
Before Hiruzen or the anbu could react, the ball of chains suddenly rushed towards young Naruto and disappears into his chest. Then just as suddenly, his hair bled from his sun-kissed yellow into a blood red color that matched perfectly with Kushina’s hair.
This sudden series of events had startled the anbu causing him to drop Naruto. But before he or Hiruzen could catch him, blood red chains burst from Naruto’s back stopping him from hitting the ground.
Seeing the chains automatically protect Naruto, Kushina smiled and looked back to Hiruzen. “Please protect him...”
Hiruzen picks up Naruto, “I promise”
With a final nod, Kushina leaves the land of the living, ending her story. But a new one, is just beginning...
