Chapter 1
"Come on, Naruto!!! It won't hurt to just pretend you believe!" Kiba shouted out as he punched Naruto in the shoulder dramatically.
Sakura joins in on the conversation as she sits with the group, "Naruto, vampires are totally real! I mean just think of it. Everyone knows of them whether they want to believe in them, or not." She snatches Naruto's milkshake from his hand as he tries to grab it back resulting in her kicking him in the shin. He groans in pain.
"I mean, I'm not really a believer in Vampires or anything supernatural either but it makes some sense." Shikamaru says calmly as he takes a bite of his sandwich. "Oh come on! You're supposed to be on my side Shikamaru!" Naruto whines out. He takes a breath as he tries to somewhat understand what silly myth his friends keep on ranting on about.
Hinata decides to speak up, "I mean the thought of vampires is really cool." Hinata is very shy but ever since she got with Kiba she has become much more confident in herself, even if it isn't by a lot.
"Oh whatever... Believe what you guys want. I know I'm right." Naruto smirks and gets up from the table dramatically. Lunch is over now, class has started.
This is the time of day all students hate, and sleep through. Naruto is extremely tired as he waits in his second to last period when he notices something. The boy in front of him, his rival, Sasuke Uchiha. Sasuke's normally dark piercing eyes have a tint of red in them today. Nobody seems to notice besides Naruto. "What the..." before Naruto could continue his sentence he was interrupted.
"Naruto! Stop talking to yourself and pay attention." Iruka sensei shouted out. Naruto coughed at the sudden attention of all the others, including Sasuke's attention. Naruto could now confirm that the infamous Uchiha Sasuke's eyes were now a bloody red after locking eyes with him. It was a shock with how nobody besides Naruto could see this change in his appearance.
Naruto grabbed a crumpled up sticky note and wrote down on it, 'Why are your eyes red?' and he tossed it towards Sasuke. Sasuke grabbed it and read it, as soon as he read the note you could visibly see him stiffen.
Sasuke wrote something down on the note quickly and handed it back to Naruto. 'I don't know what you are talking about.'
Naruto rolled his eyes. He knew Sasuke would try and gaslight him into believing that his eyes were normal. Naruto knew though, he knew what he saw.
As classes ended he watched Sasuke rush out of class. Naruto had to run quickly if he wanted to ask him about what had happened to his eyes. Thankfully Naruto was insanely fast and athletic. He managed to catch up to Sasuke just in time.
Naruto tapped on Sasuke's shoulder as he began to speak, "Dude, why are your eyes red?" His question seemed casual but Naruto was very confused and frankly worried. He wasn't worried about Sasuke's well being, no. He was worried he could possibly get whatever sickness the Uchiha might have currently. Sasuke must be sick, what else could be the reason for his bloody red eyes.
Sasuke turned around swiftly. He seemed irritated already. Naruto gulps, Sasuke's eyes are still a dark red yet they seem to become more and more vibrant as the time goes on.
