More questions than concern

“Oh come on, just answer me!” Naruto shouted out. Thankfully no students came this route today. Sasuke seemed to become more and more irritated as Naruto continued to nag him.

“Just drop it.” Sasuke said as he turned away dramatically and continued on walking.

“No way! I’m pretty sure I heard of a super deadly and contagious disease that turned people eyes red or something… you could be giving to everyone at school!” Naruto continued on but it seems his complaints fell on deaf ears.

Sasuke turned around frantically. It seemed sudden for him to turn around like this and actually listen to Naruto. Naruto almost assumed Sasuke would explain. He was grabbed by the wrist and dragged into an alley way which caused his complaints and questions to stop for a moment.

“W-what the heck dude! This is so sketchy. Why would you just grab me and drag me back here???” Naruto questioned Sasuke. He seemed more annoyed than concerned. It all happened so suddenly, he looked into Sasuke’s eyes once more and he saw it.

He saw his eyes so red and it almost seemed like the eyes of an animal. Naruto was going to ask why he seemed so different. Why he looked almost like he wasn’t himself. Before he could even utter a single word, Sasuke grabbed his shoulder and bit him.

‘W-what??? Did he just bite me?’ Naruto thought to himself as he tried to fight him back. Naruto was an excellent athlete. One of the strongest kids in the grade. He was the type of person to always win in fights, arm wrestling, races, any time of athletic type competition. Being attacked wasn’t a problem for him, usually. His attacks were leaving no harm.

Sasuke unlatched his mouth from Naruto’s neck for a moment to say a few words, “Please just stop, it’ll be easier for the both of us.” He then went back to Naruto’s neck. Naruto could feel a cold liquid on his neck. He assumed this was blood, it felt the same as getting your blood drawn. Or at least somewhat similar.

Naruto’s vision became hazy, he felt weak, his arms started to droop, and his legs began to shake. That is all Naruto remembers before everything went black.

Sasuke grabbed onto his body to keep him from falling as the realization finally settles in. Thankful for the winter he knows the sun is setting and he can get Naruto home without many people seeing. Whether he takes him to his own home or the Uchiha household is still up for debate. Before he even realizes, he starts carrying the blonde in the direction of his own house.

As Sasuke watches Naruto sleep contently, he wishes he had listened to Itachi instead of being so petty. If he had, this situation wouldn’t be happening.
