Alright so look, this AU is like… messed up but in the yummy, dramatic, toxic way. Like—this ain’t regular HP canon. This is my world now. Everyone’s messy, obsessed, and got issues. Basically? Therapy is extinct here.
Lucius Malfoy is not the cold rich daddy you think he is. Okay wait—he IS, but like, also this scared lil boy who never grew out of his fear of messing up. He got mommy issues, control issues, all the issues. He’s lowkey obsessed with Severus Snape. Like OBSESSED. Not “omg he’s smart” obsessed, I mean like “I want to own you, crawl inside your brain and make you love me back” obsessed. It’s bad.
And then there’s Severus who’s like: ✨emotionally unavailable✨, mean, quiet, and secretly a little girl about love (don’t tell him I said that). He KNOWS Lucius is obsessed but he be acting like “I’m above this” while still kinda enjoying the attention. Bro thinks he’s immune but he’s not. He’s like “ew stop touching me 😒” but then blushes when Lucius looks at him too long. Messy.
Now Narcissa? She’s just trying to breathe. Her marriage is arranged, her cousin is a drama magnet, and her husband is in love with some greasy man who won’t even brush his hair. She’s not even mad mad—she’s just tired. She be sipping her tea while chaos is erupting in the manor. She loves Lucius but is also like “dang you really picked HIM over ME??” but in a quiet sad way. And Mei—her assistant—is totally in love with her. But like, silently. Mei is a ghost fr, always there, never seen, scheming lowkey. She’s watching Lucius and Severus fumble like “I could end all of this rn but I won’t.”
James? OH James is just THERE. He’s Severus’s ex bestie or something, but also has a weird thing for Lucius too (he won’t admit it tho). He’s like “bro I hate him 😤” while also twirling his hair when Lucius speaks. Everybody in this AU is gay or confused it’s great.
Oh oh oh and then—this traumatic event from when Lucius was a kid?? He accidentally killed his owl (Marrow 💀) and it BROKE him. Like sobbing, on the floor, couldn’t breathe, shaking. And Narcissa had to hold him while he cried and say “just close your eyes, Lucius.” Bro never recovered. That’s when he decided he’d never let himself mess up again. Ever. Perfection only. Love became something he needed to control, not feel.
So yeah. This AU is not about who’s good or bad. It’s about who’s worse 😭 It’s about power, obsession, fear, and people falling apart slowly while pretending they’re fine. It’s drama, angst, tension, and a sprinkle of “please get help.”
