A Starry Night In The Light Of Moon (Craftycorn and Catnap)
Crafty wasn't the type to go crazy, she was the quiet and artsy type. But apparently that description was incorrect. Ever since she chopped off her own ear, she decided to admit herself into an asylum, one that was quite a distance away from her home. And at the same time as she was admitted, she saw this purple cat there who was bring admitted the same time as her. She asked for a whole art studio and a nice bedroom on the second story, while the purple cat had asked for a piano in his room. She didn't see him much outside of his room though, probably because he took to playing the piano most times. But the level of skill and emotion that he has in his playing had inspired Crafty many times with the scenery she wad provided.
It was one night where she had woken up early due to a nightmare, and didn't want to go back to sleep. But after a look through her window, she never would've wanted to, because before her was a beautiful starry night, complete with a waning gibbous moon and an incredibly bright star. She had remembered that this incredibly bright star might be venus, also called the morning star in some places. She was awestruck for so long that the only thing she though of was that if anyone else could see the view that was in front of her. And it seems that her wish was heard and granted because she could hear that same piano. The one that the purple cat had ordered, the one that he was always glued to, the one that has inspired many pieces of hers. She decided to paint this scene, to memorialize it.
She didn't knew exactly the piece that the cat was playing, she wasn't too well versed in music, and she always preferred silence or ambience when she created her art but the cat's piano was just the perfect soundtrack, all the time. She then got together her supplies and canvas and her hands and brush started to move. She was trying many times to try and have a style likeness that of other famous painters while she was staying in this asylum, but she always had trouble with fully immersing herself to the styles she wanted. But words from her brother had inspired her to just make her art, and that's what she did in this moment.
Each crescendo and descendo, a brush stroke. Each major and minor chords, a look to the muse of a view in front of her. Anything that could've been interpreted from the music, she put into her art. She worked very fast for many reasons, one was that the view could not last forever. As now, some hints of sunlight are now peeking from the horizon. And two, is because she doesn't know for how long the cat will continue playing for, or if he will eventually get bored since he has already repeated the song twice since she started. But she still wanted to add a bit more.
A different looking moon. Although the waning gibbous looked nice, she had a dream one time where she saw the cat laying on a crescent moon, and she wanted to implement that here, a crescent moon with many bright stars and the one morning star. And another thing to add is a village. It sadly didn't exist in the view in front of her, but she was feeling a bit homesick now, and she wanted to depict her home village where she grew up. Many lights of the houses were on, because many people were also present to be able to behold the scene which she was also experiencing at this current moment. And after a couple of finishing touches, she was done. And tight on time too, since it would seem that the purple cat had stopped playing now, as there was only silence. Crafty decided to go to sleep, content about her newly finished work, and despite her exhaustion, she still had an appetite to make more and more art. Only if she could finally meet that cat of course.
