Happy And Smiling All Day (Huggy and Kissy, Smiling Critters, Nightmare Critters, Long Legs Family. A.K.A the whole damn cast)
Dr. Harley Sawyer looks over the kid in front of him, Theodore Grambell is his name, his caretaker from the orphanage says that he wanted to go through a new procedure that would get him a new body, and that he could stay in playcare as one of its protectors.
Meanwhile, in playcare. A whole load of living toys and critters alike are all in a crowd talking about a new member of the Smiling Critters. "Apparently, the new Smiling Critter is gonna be Catnap!" Kissy Missy said to the group consisting of The Smiling Critters, The Nightmare Critters, The Long Legs Family, Huggy Wuggy, and Poppy, with the two critter groups looking like they came straight from their cartoon, albeit larger. The Smiling Critters cheered and started asking many questions about Catnap. "Is it a boy or a girl? What do they look like? What's their favorite color?" The Nightmare Critters meanwhile talked amongst themselves over the two groups being finally even, and The Long Legs and Poppy had talked with each other and how the orphans at playcare needed someone like Catnap, because lately they've been having trouble sleeping.
Dogday then got an idea on how to welcome Catnap. "How about we sing him a song? And Kissy could sing!" Dogday replied. "Yeah that's a great idea! You definitely outta' sing sis!" Huggy added. Basically everyone agreed for Kissy to sing a little song to welcome their newest critter...
...
...
"Hello? Can you hear me Theodore?" Catnap was slowly waking up as he rubbed his eyes open, getting confused over how... Furry, he was. Opening his eyes led to shock and surprise as he saw his bright and purple fur. Looking around he saw Dr. Sawyer sitting down, smiling softly. "Do you feel alright?" He asked him. He felt around his body, his ears that were not at their usual spot, his mouth and fangs, his hands and claws, and especially his tail, which he took great interest in. "I feel fine sir." He said to Dr. Sawyer. "That's good Theo- er-, your new name would be Catnap now." Dr. Sawyer said. Right, he was no longer Theodore, but Catnap the Smiling Critter. "Could I Look at a mirror?" Catnap said to the doctor, as he got up and grabbed a mirror from behind him. Sitting back down, he presented the mirror in front of Catnap. He was surprised at how cartoonish he looked, despite knowing he couldn't look exactly like the cartoons, he looked like some of those fan created pictures of Catnap, the ones where he is not quite the size of the cartoon but more human sized.
Getting up and off the bed, his tail swayed from left to right as Catnap tried to control it. Standing up next to Dr. Sawyer, he was now a little bit taller than him, jarring when as a child he was far shorter. "Well, you should see your new home now correct?" Dr. Sawyer said, leading Catnap outside the room. While walking, a few employees and workers had waved and even greeted Catnap. After a bit of walking, they finally found themselves at the tram system for getting inside playcare. After sitting down, a worker turned on the tram which took them all the way to playcare.
When the two had gotten off the tram, Dr. Sawyer lead Catnap to his house, a large purple scratching post with a purple house embedded inside of it, looking almost like a treehouse. "This is it. If you want, I could give you a tour, or would you rather explore on your own?" Dr. Sawyer told Catnap. "No thanks." Catnap simply said. "Farewell then." Dr. Sawyer said, waving goodbye and walking back to the tram. Catnap then immediately and enthusiastically ran around the house, seeing it from every angle. Then he headed inside, taking in all the features as he quickly made himself comfortable by laying on the large cat bed and snuggling in, wrapping a large blanket around him.
He felt like going to sleep until he heard a knock outside his door. "Hello?! Catnap?!" He heard a bright sounding voice outside. "We wanted to formally welcome you!" The voice continued. Catnap then got up from his bed and looked outside his window, recognizing the crowd in front of his house as the many toy mascots that Playtime Co. sells. He can see the Smiling Critters, the Nightmare Critters, Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy, the Long Legs Family, and Poppy Playtime herself. Seeing this massive crowd in front of his house had made him insanely anxious and terrified for he wasn't used to this many people before.
"U-um, w- w- who a- are you a-all?"" Catnap said, barely able to speak out loud enough for the group to hear. "We're fellow toys silly. Like you!" Said the orange canine, playfully shouting to Catnap. Just then, a whole orchestra was in front of Catnap's house, consisting of every single toy and or IP that Playtime had ever done. After a little while of literally the whole cast introducing themselves, including whomever was in the orchestra, they started playing their music as Catnap remembered what this scene was from. It was from his favourite movie when he was still a human! Just then, Kissy Missy started singing.
"All of us live in the nursery. All of us different as we can be. Some of us plump, some of us thin, some who are sad and some who always grin."
KM sung, when she sung the last part, everyone gave a great big smile. Bringing warmth to Catnap's heart.
"All of us here to welcome you. And all I want to say is really simple, plain, and true."
Then she came up closet to Catnap's house, almost reaching the window where he was watching.
"Who are you?" Catnap said playfully while waving towards KM.
"Im just a rag dolly. Happy and smiling all day. A little rag dolly. Wishing your worries away. I stop and say golly! This is too good to be true. A little rag dolly, plain as can be, has a friend who's as lovely as you."
KM sung, finishing with a little bow. Then Huggy Wuggy came up behind Kissy Missy.
"She's just a rag dolly. Happy and smiling all day. A lovey rag dolly. Wishing your worries away. And I get so jolly, know when it's funny but true. A little rag dolly, sweet as can be, could be friends with a dolly like you."
Huggy finished by slinking down to the floor, sitting down. Then everyone had prepared to start singing and dancing around in synch.
"She's just a rag dolly. Happy and smiling all day. A little rag dolly. Wishing your worries away. And we say "Oh golly!" This is too good to be true."
Without the rest noticing, Catnap had quickly excited his house. Meeting everybody as he continues to sing and dance with everyone.
"A lovey rag dolly, sweet as can be, has a friend who's as lovely as you!"
And with that, the entire toy cast of Poppy Playtime had celebrated Catnap's arrival with lots of games, food, and a whole viewing of a movie. And you, dear readers, could probably guess what the movie is.
